Cedar Hill Police Department Review

Pulled me over for a wide right turn. Really. Then tried to say my truck matched the description of truck stealing from yards. Look in my bed it s empty, I just came from Walmart bought a few items for baby and some grocery s and stopped at Taco Bell also. Walmart bags in back seat and Taco Bell in front seat. Called another unit, all the while the yard thief still driving around stealing stuff while 3 cops now here to deal with a wide right turn. Really am I stupid or isn t every right turn against a curb wide to avoid curb checking the curb.

Definitely not living up to the motto of "To protect and serve".
How can Police react with fervor and guns drawn whenever they "feel threatened" but let an ongoing threat to a person by an ex go un addressed? "There is nothing we can do " is not addressing the problem. Here is a situation where all the threats and acts of vandalism are posted publicly (and reported to Police) and in plain view, just waiting for that moment when tragedy strikes and "why didn't we see this, all the clues were right in front of us" becomes another sad refrain.

The Cedar Hill Police Department has a professional group of men and women who place their lives in harms way daily. If there are any bad officers in the department, and I'm sure there are, they will not be in this PD for long. There are too many good people in this PD for a bad officer to survive in it.

Always professional and quick to respond, best PD I have had the pleasure to intermingle with.

Having gone through the citizen's police academy, we have a tremendous asset. I encourage other to sign up and get the real picture of CHPD.

It's sad that I have to give one star I wouldn't give a star for anything. this is by far the most unprofessional Police Department I've ever seen looks like a bunch of Cracker Jacks. they will steal your stuff they don't give you your receipt on anything that yours treat you like dogs.most definitely don't go by the law do illegal stuff theirselves!! I'm from a really small town and I thought the police department there was a joke this one is by far the biggest joke ever!!!! it's pretty sad when they will let a male lay hands on a female and then tell a female she can't press charges all over Walmart's finest!!

As a 22yr veteran of Law Enforcement with over 13yrs of working narcotics & fugitive apprehension and now presently a Private Investigator with a private investigation agency that serves bond forfeiture warrants , on 07/28/2017, had the privilege of coordinating with Cedar Hill Police Dept. Officers Malone & Cotton in reference to an out of state fugitive located in the Cedar Hills area. These Officers were very professional and courteous. They illustrated there surveillance techniques and uniform support apprehension skills, of which allowed a safe and successful arrest. My years of working jointly with many departments shows me the Cedar Hill Police Dept. has great leadership & professionalism that shows through their Officers on the street. Cedar Hill Police Dept. thank you for allowing me to participate and observe your great officers continuing keeping Cedar Hills a safer place.

Quick response when my truck was broken into. Slow with info after that though. Overall, fairly good community outreach

My husband was pulled over at 8am it's been 9hrs and still he hasent been booked in and I have no information as of why I'm totally freaking out I thought it would be more organized

As a service employee driving home after having a glass of wine after an event, 4 hours prior to the supposed incedident. I was pulled over in Midlothian and asked for my ID. I was never Informed after why I was pulled over. At that moment I was asked to get out of my car by Cedar Hill police. I know I usually drive with a lead foot so my car was on cruise, and had been pulled over the week prior to speeding. I pulled over clueless to the fact. I get the crappiest attitude without attracting it. A block from my house I was told I could go home so they could get back to their city. Nothing was written or given out. These cops were just out searching for something to do.
