Definitely not living up to the motto of "To protect and serve".
How can Police react with fervor and guns drawn whenever they "feel threatened" but let an ongoing threat to a person by an ex go un addressed? "There is nothing we can do " is not addressing the problem. Here is a situation where all the threats and acts of vandalism are posted publicly (and reported to Police) and in plain view, just waiting for that moment when tragedy strikes and "why didn't we see this, all the clues were right in front of us" becomes another sad refrain.
