I was so happy that Cedar Hill Golf Course had Brian's Custom Clubs on location. Brian was fantastic. Definitely worth checking out, and reasonably priced. He was very professional and constructive reviewing my swing and most importantly sizing my clubs. My driver has always been a problem and with Brian's help he checked for the right sizing. The rest of my clubs were okay, but my driver shaft was two inches too long. He built a right size driver on the spot to try out, and it felt so natural in my hands. I was so impressed. Thanks Brian! I look forward to coming back if any of my club give me a problem.

Greens are in great condition and fast. Tee boxes are exceptional for a public course. Since it is also a public recreational area with a hiking trail surrounding the course, there is lots of non-golfer foot traffic. The course could benefit from better signage since the layout can leave the tourist golfer bewildered as to the directions for the hole sequence. Lastly, do not expect a pro shop with any equipment. The rental clubs are long past their best before date, truly bad condition - bring your own clubs. Congenial staff and the price for a round is a deal. All-in-all a good course for the budget minded golfer.

Online reservation system is not very effective. I booked a tee time with a power cart online for 615 pm, for me and my 78 year old father with mobility issues who is visiting from nova Scotia and we were turned away when we got there on grounds that they don't rent out carts past a certain time.

We had been here two days earlier and had no problem renting a power cart for a 622 tee off, so I don't know what the problem is now.

We're now pretty out of luck for a golf game...

On the upside - it's a pretty good value for the money at twilight, and the course is in good condition (we were able to play the front nine on Monday - with a cart!)

Some of the nicest people I've met work here. All around a really nice environment with excellent staff who really cater towards everyones specific needs, whether you're an expert or just starting out Cedar Hill Golf Course will accommodate you.

Great course and great price, however the website to book tee times is garbage. I was logged in and attempting to book a tee time at 6pm for advanced booking (5days) on two occasions this week and had no luck on reserving a time. It books up faster than my computer or internet can keep up. Unimpressed to say the least. Its to bad the person in charge doesn't do something about this bush league set up.

Went yesterday (Oct.2013) for the first time in 10 years and was blown away. I dont remember it being so good, but the course was damn near perfectly maintained. I guess they figured out how to properly run a golf course! $28 after 1 oclock cant be beat either. Honestly, it rivals any $80 course on the island, it just might not be as long. Can't wait to go back!

Its a pretty good golf course good for beginners but if your looking for a longer driving range or course this isn't the place for you. The range is only big enough for the average golfer to hit up to his 9 iron. The course is a par 4 with 3 par 5's. The scenery is amazing and the service is also fairly good with a bar / restaurant in the clubhouse and snack cars roaming the course. This is a public golf course but I do reccomend saving a tee off time instead of just showing up.

I stopped coming here because of the hassle. They will only let you book a tee time 1 day in advance. So don't bother calling on friday if you want to play sunday. You are left with having to book using the non user friendly online system which I've never in fact been able to use.. Also the staff is usually rude and unhelpful and the carts are scarce ( or all in the shed and unavailable for reasons that they don't provide.) There are too many good courses around to waste my time here.

It's a fun course, but the way they run the pro-shop can be a bit of a let down. I needed to rent a set a clubs as I didn't have my own set in Victoria, so I booked a tee-time under the assumption I could use the rental. I called the pro-shop for 3 hours to check if I could rent clubs for the tee-time and I got no answer. Had to go to the course and be told then that I wouldn't be able to play because no one would be in the pro-shop by the end of my 9 holes. It would have been very convenient if they had answer their phone so I could have gone to another course, rather than be stuck because it was too late to sign up for anything for the day.

I understand having my own clubs would be beneficial, but I don't have my own personal set in Victoria and trying to get some practice in via the service that is renting out a set. I'm mostly let down by the lack of customer service, especially after calling them for 3 hours.

We've just completed our yearly Royal LePage Coast Capital Realty fund raiser Golf Day at Cedar Hill. Every year it has been a wonderful experience but this was our best yet. This venue couldn't get much better. Even with our record numbers for dinner, they managed to exceed all previous efforts. I am still receiving calls from our players saying it was the best meal they've ever had, at any golf tournament, anywhere. The staff were amazing and helped make this day just that much extra special for all involved. Thank you to all the staff and management at Cedar Hill!

2 stars for now with HOPES for a 4 or 5 star review once I play the course come this Aug!
Giving two stars cause I wrote the GM a full solid week ago and NO bother by him to reply back to me and that to me is just plain awful service!
I always write my clients/customers back so I do not see 2 star reviews! I left it a full week too in case it landed in junk mail.
I only asked if I could book earlier than 5 days before actually playing course cause that week I would be so very busy.
Just a 2 min in time reply back would have meant lots!
NOT good as a start trying a new course and I am hardly ever in Victoria...coming from Kelowna to TRY and plan!

Great public course, open year round. It is a challenging course we'll worth the green fees. Staff are friendly and the drink cart is never too far away. Great views of the mountains and some fairways where you can really let it rip! Cedar Hill happens to be my local course - every round is a new adventure!

This is a great 18 hole golf course in the middle of the Victoria. There are great views of the Olympic Mountains in Washington State, a great walking path around the course as well as Cedar Hill Rec Center there as well.

great intermediate course, the online booking is an absolute joke though, even if you're ready to book right at 6 you can't book anything, there's 0 charge for booking so people abuse the booking, figure it out saanich this booking system has gotten out of hand and nobody can book a bloody t time, this is bull****
