These guys took just shy of 2 months to never fulfill an order. Throughout the entire time, they never communicated proactively -- it was always up to me to seek status updates. I'm pretty sure if I didn't reach out they'd have been happy to keep my money and never ship a thing. I don't know if they don't track their order fulfillment times or if they just don't care. I don't expect Amazon level speeds, but every ecomm business, regardless of size, should have some basic fulfillment checks in place.

The few times I contacted them via phone or email, I was given vague promises of "next week". Next week clearly never happened. Each time, I'd wait until whatever vague deadline they'd set had passed by a couple days before reaching out again. The last straw -- I called on a Saturday, and was told they couldn't do anything for me that day, but would reach out to me on Monday with a status update and action plan including firm dates. I waited until about hour before their closing time, no contact. I gave up and called in, and got a "sometime this week" answer. The best part is they actually had part of my order in stock the whole time and never offered to ship it.

In the time they've wasted, I've dealt with a few other small-mid sized audio businesses-- a couple had issues related to Chinese new year, but had proactive communication, and set shipping deadlines that they actually met. They also offered genuine customer service -- something the cable company doesn't do. The Cable Company's customer service policy is a combination of fake empathy and making sure they run the conversation so you don't have a chance to complain.

It's also worth noting that they don't actually stock most of what they have listed. If you have the option, give the cable co a miss and order straight from the manufacturer or another source instead.

Here's to hoping my refund doesn't take another 2 months!

I ordered one item and was contacted by Peter who spent time explaining implementation of the product. Peter went through my system and offered personalized advice. At no time did I feel "pressured" to make a purchase--but when I finally did I was overwhelmed at how much improvement Peter's suggestions made. CableCo is not just another online vendor: it is a personalized high-end audio consultant service with fantastic customer service and terrific prices (the best I've found, especially if you track the specials). These guys offer on-line pricing and the best of brick-and-mortar service. Actually better, in that they carry a much wider array of brands than any audio shop I've ever seen. From now on out, I just trust these guys.

I have recently ordered a new pair of Harbeth P3es...

I have recently ordered a new pair of Harbeth P3esr speakers from this store. Once I received them, however, the speakers were not in good condition. Both grills was ripped at the edges and there was a dent at the rim of one of speakers cabinet. (showed in the photos)

I contacted the guy named steve to claim this, the first time he said he ll contact the distributor and get back to me. But after a long wait I heard nothing back so I contacted him again and haven t heard anything back so far.

For goods at this price I do not think this kind of service is suitable and I would not recommend this store to anyone. Highly disappointed.

Update #1 - In respond to the owner s reply, the speakers were shipped directly to me from your store via UPS which costed me $264 back then so it had nothing to do with my daughter. Additionally I informed Mr. Steven three months ago that there was no sign of damages of the shipping carton so it was unlikely that the damages occurred during shipping.

Ordered some stuff off their site and was told it was back ordered for a few months, but we can be put on hold - fine, no problem, things are tough right now, we understand. Upon following up with Ethan, the person who told us our order was on hold, we get told that our order was canceled (spoilers, it wasn t, the card was charged...) and that we would not be getting our order. Getting on the phone with Ethan, he was incredibly rude to us, clearly did not want to receive our business moving forward, and did not want to admit to the miscommunication he made over email. Sorry Ethan, we don t care if you run a boutique store, we certainly know you aren t Amazon (that s why we placed the order in the first place and were willing to work with you), and we can assure you that we will not be shopping with you in the future.

I'm astounded I'm even having to write this. There are few honest people in this industry sadly, and it really hurts because it's something that I love. People think this is just another way to fill your home with things that you can brag about and show off to others. It's a lot more than that. I thought this was understood at this business, but at the end of the day, my final and last transaction was overbilled, improperly invoiced after-the-fact for more than agreed on, and then they stalled on refunding the wire that I made to save them money. This crisis cast a bright light on their lack of authenticity. What really made me run was being told I didn't matter. The verbal Jiu-Jitsu to spend more. What I spent was nothing because there's someone always spending more. These guys will probably fold in the coming months. Good riddance.

Awesome people to deal with. I have been dealing with them for >20 years with over 30 orders and i must say they are always professional, orders always arrive on time and with out issue. You may occasionally save a dollar or two elsewhere but if you want expert advice for what you have The cable company is the place to go.

They are my go-to company for a variety of high quality audio equipment. John Pharo goes the extra mile to insure customer satisfaction. Highly recommended.
