These people call constantly. I have one very small item that I am protesting. I'm not paying it bc I was treated unprofessionally by a P.A.I should be sueing the jerk.

Just would like to discuss my situation here.

In 2017, I rented an apartment. I had my lights turned off, and because my lights and water got paid to the same place, I didn't know I was supposed to go to a different place to have my water turned off. They got turned off at the same building, so how was I to know? Regardless...

I didn't know that anything went to credit because I received my deposit back at both places, and didn't even know it was on my credit until I checked my score one day last year and seen it on there.

A couple weeks ago, I called the hospital to ask about some medical bills I had and they gave me this number. (The wrong one.) The water account came up and I told the woman I spoke with that I was aware that I owed and I would start paying on it as soon as I could. I go to college, and get school loans. I was gonna pay it with financial overpayment in August. I didn't tell her that, but I was going to pay it, nonetheless.

I get a call at 8am, She said she was calling because I called 2 weeks ago and said I would pay it. I told her that I said I would start paying on it, not that I would pay it in full. She said well I want you to remember that it is from 2017. I said I am aware. It wasn't my fault to begin with, but I am going to pay it. That I hadn't had the chance. She said something along the lines of, "you mean to tell me in 2 years you haven't had" I hung up. I knew what she was getting ready to say..

The answer is NO I HAVENT. In 2016, I had a job making great money. I took small loans to raise my credit. Later in that same year, my special needs child started having close to 30 seizures a day. I couldn't work a 9-5 job. I had to stay home with him on an income of 700 a month. rent was 400... now you calculate food and water into that...

in 2017 I finally got into low income housing and got a job after my sons health improved. I had to leave the apartment I was in (where the water didn't get turned off) because the job I was at was only giving me 9 hours a week. I was paying 600 in loans. id pay one, renew and then pay another and repeat for about a year and a half. I finally was able to get a full time job at the end of the year in 2017. I only made 8 bucks an hour. I was paying those off while solely supporting my child and paying 500 a month for an apartment and no government assistance. I was finally able to pay those loans off August 2018. I went to college while continuing to work graveyard full time but still having to pay car insurance, groceries, etc. Ya know, like normal people have to do.

I worked my full time job until February of 2019 and had to leave. I have a special needs sister, with whom I have a job through her insurance to work with now. Her health seriously declined and I no longer had a sitter for my son. I used my tax money to pay my rent up for several months until I could figure something out.

Here it is, July 2019, and im still only working part-time. So NO, MARY-whatever your name is, I have NOT HAD A CHANCE in two years to pay it. You catch more flies with honey!

Maybe train your employees not to be total assholes, and people will be more inclined to pay. I will make my payment, but I refuse to speak to this person again. I will send my payment to the PO BOX like I told her I would do the first freaking time.

I called to get information on this, it was on my husband credit report. A whopping $62.00 for a date of service of 9/8/15 for an after hours clinic, well I was in the hospital for an entire week from 9/4/15-9/12/15 very ill and my husband DID NOT leave my side, I called UT and confirmed they have NO DOS for that, I spoke to the "receptionist" Karen, very ugly and hateful. I asked to speak to someone about the account, she transferred me 8x's, Spoke to a woman "forgot her name" she was polite she said she had to transfer me to "Tammy". 10x's I called when she transferred me it would ring and then no voice mail, I called back Karen was very hateful, thank God my calls ARE RECORDED!!! I will be filing a dispute with all three credit bureaus, The BBB, and speaking with management. All I wanted was the account number and EOB, and all paperwork from the DOS, we NEVER got a bill from UT nor this low life collection agency! I did try and call again 10's!!! I will be making a visit in person to speak with Karen and give her a lesson on customer services and how not to be a complete hag!

Was never notified of debt. Here I am 4 years later dealing with rude people on the phone. I hate when people mhmm being smart when you tell them you ve called the place with the debt and are waiting for reasoning on exactly what you owe.

I had some issues with collections that would not stop showing up on my collections report through a credit bureau. The manager at CBC stayed on the phone with me for over an hour to try and assist getting the matter resolved with the credit bureau. Her employees were also very helpful and patient with me trying to track down the error in information as well.

This person just called my number asking for my mom's name, I kept asking him who he is, he said CBC very fast almost to where I couldn't understand what he was saying. My mom recently passed, he had the nerve to ask me when !

I signed up to enlist in the military and that s when a debt showed up on my history. One that this company states they notified me of but NEVER did.
Hilarious. When I called to get a list of payments that MY money was going to to paying off my debt they said well we just don t have the resources to do that what does that even mean? How do you not have a list of payments and track how much your client is paying? They also would not give me a list of my payments I needed in order to enlist. My higher ups called and requested the payment list for federal employment records and they STILL wouldn t. I had to go past the disgustingly rude woman to her supervisor and manager to get one letter that said I had been making the payments.

TOTAL SCAM: They refuse to tell you what they're calling about besides them being a "debt collector," or what CBC stands for, they've got a BBB rating of D-, have had multiple law suits (can't post link in review apparently but easy to find by typing "CBV debt collector lawsuits"), once you pay you never get confirmation of paying, and most importantly and obviously, they're breaking federal law by asking for the information they ask for including SS. All the positive reviews are from people who work there or from victims of a scam who hadn't realized they never actually paid off their debt. They only stopped calling me when I informed them they were breaking the law, and that Angela over there especially knows what I'm talking about. They are an absolutely ruthless company preying on already poor and vulnerable people who may or may not actually owe anything to anyone (definitely won't be to CBC) and scam them out of as much money as possible.

Doesn't deserve one star. Paid this account off and still shows as open on credit report. The account in question didn't belong to me it belong to an adult child on my insurance. It's pathetic places like this can ruin a consumer's credit rating by being unprofessional.

Received a phone call from this bunch, the lady on the phone asked for my information but she couldn t tell me the purpose of the phone just a business matter when I asked her what the business matter was she stated that she couldn t tell me unless I verify my information, when I stated that I wasn t verifying anything until I knew what the business matter was she then said well since you don t want to verify, there s no need for discussing the matter and hung up, I then called the number back and spoke with the lady up front I guess and she stated the same thing but atleast she gave me the name of the company. So I was just getting on here to see if someone could tell me who or what this bunch is?

This place called me, I spoke to the rudest woman who wouldn't tell me what company the debt was for unless I confirmed sensitive information to her, which is not happening with some random place I've never heard of with terrible reviews, sounded like 100% spam call. Apparently my utility company didn't update my address as stated and I never got a final bill from them. Fast forward 6 months later, I paid it in full but still got a bill from CBC 2.5 weeks after the payment posted that it was still owed... Good job guys.

They will keep calling you and threaten to take you to court and get a judgement against you even after you have paid them almost 90% of the bill!!! Greedy people!!

I know everyone has difficulties with finances from time to time, however it would make sense to make it easier to pay off your debts, rather than trying to obfuscate what is going on, where the debt is coming from, and what your options are. It also helps not to be rude with people, and not to assume that someone can make a 1000 dollar a month payment. We all know how this works, they buy our debt for cheap and then try to wring the money out. I would much rather pay the original company and deal with them. rather than this rude debt collector. My debt was due to a medical issue that my insurance did not pay, yet they treat you as if your driving a stolen car. I dont appreciate it, and apparently I am not the only one.

I've had this place calling our office verifying employment for a staff member. Well first we can say yes she works here. but don't be sending bills, or personal phone calls. We're a bussiness we don't do personal calls or Personal bussiness matter. We have clients that call and don't need This type of place that doesn't do anything right keep our lines busy. Call there house or cell send a letter or something on that line, not at a bussiness thats way bigger than your's.......

Theyre illegally calling my father and harassing him about my medical debt

With all the scam calls everyone is getting, nobody is going to answer "?CBC llc debt collector?" claiming you have a outstanding debt. Especially if you always pay your bills but as it turns out, that one time $30 medical bill slipped through. So a little missed medical bill will now show up on your credit report. Be aware that small medical bills under $100 might show up on credit report, but are not used in calculation of your credit score. All this waste of resources (how much recourses can be wasted for $30?) and attempt to mess with peoples credit for a few unpaid dollars.

Got a derogatory mark and was completely unaware that I had a collections due. I never received an email or a call notifying me of the debt. Women that work there were unhelpful and unprofessional. I had to call on numerous occasions before they found the account with my debt information. Tammy was the name of the lady I unfortunately had to deal with. The whole place needs to be cleaned out for rehire.

Try getting an emailed receipt from this place. They say it may take up to 24 hours, no receipt. Four times I have requested an emailed receipt! Still have not received one! Terrible service!!

Paying on my husband's account off ....CBC Sue was a joy working with me! Very helpful friendly making easy and stress free! Unlike some of the young women at HMG on level 4 how are very Rude,Have an attitude for days, Giving misleading information.
Thank you CBC for making paying your bills so easy! And being understand that sometimes Life happens and it takes a minute or two getting back on your feet!

Received a cal from a lady who refused to identify herself other than Beth and stated it was a personal matter then started asking personal information. Obviously in this age of scams I asked for further information. She cut me off and began speaking rapidly. From her speech and my caller ID I was able to figure out it was this company. I called back and tried to explain but again was rudely cut off. Not sure why they wanted to contact me as I pay my bills on time.
