This has become a nightmare on top of a nightmare. I closed on a 2019 Cavco home in April 2019. I bought it from Palm Harbor Homes. I will never recommend Cavco out of Texas nor Palm Harbor off of Gulf Freeway in Houston and Alvin, Texas. I should have backed out from the beginning but me being me I kept giving chances.
My dream home is a nightmare! Rachel in the Cavco Lufkin office is the most unprofessional employee on top of being insensitive. Same with Palm Harbor

I found them online and they had a 2 1/2 bath model listed but there wasn't any pictures or floor plan with it like there were with all the others but there was an option to contact them for more information so I did. All I asked for was for more information on their 2 1/2 bath model but they couldn't be bothered. Yes I am not in their state but that doesn't mean I couldn't have one brought to me. I actually have family members who help move things like this all over the U.S. and I am actually not that far away from Arizona. Below is their exact response. If they couldn't even just email me a floor plan of something they have advertised makes me wonder if they actually have it available at all. Their response: "Sue,
I received your e-mail, but as a manufacturer in Arizona, we only sell into Arizona and surrounding states.
Please check into your local area and state in Oklahoma.
Cavco Durango"

This company let's a third party (the Home Outlet)sell their house and advertise for them. The employees wear their logos on their clothes and they proudly display the Cavco logo everywhere. And Cavco let's them act like this: The first employee I started the paperwork with randomly dissappears and the only reason I found out is because I was not getting a reply to an email for weeks, so I called and they finally tell me "she is no longer with the company". Who knows how long she had been gone for, and I'm sure no one in that time frame was working on my stuff since no one bothered to reply to my emails or let me know she was gone. The manager there can't answer any questions: one of his employees filled out paper work for a contractor to only get paid a partial amount without the taxes, I was on the phone with the manager and the lender and no one could tell me why only a partial amount was being paid. Days later, the manager finally told me it's because the taxes get paid separately. This was after yelling at me, telling me this is not his problem. He finally figured out what his employee did, and his excuse for acting like a jerk "I didn't understand what you were talking about". Really? We are on the phone with the lender, providing clear numbers and pointing out where it doesn't match, and you don't know what we are talking about? Rather than say that you don't know, you start calling me names and yelling? When I questioned this, he said "well, everyone knows that taxes get paid separately, it was so obvious that I didn't think that's what you were talking about." Except, no one knew, not him, not the lender, not his employee, even the contractor said they had never seen that before. Yeah. This company has failed. If these are the managers standards for talking to customers, then I know why the rest of the crew there acts like they do and Cavco let's them because its a third party company, they have nothing to do with you, so who cares, right?

The houses they manufacture are not nice. Their final product is awful. And in order to get to the final product, it's like pulling teeth. Don't do business with them.
