Another fabulous stay here recently. Cannot fault the hotel, staff or food. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking at celebrating a special occasion. We also got treatments in their spa which was a little too relaxing!!!

Absolutely not a place to stay to relax!!! Staff was rude very judgemental and had the odyssey to accuse me and my partner of things we could never imaging doing..not only did a member of staff be very rude but the manger had no reply for the level of treatment we got...after being not only shocked but humiliated by the accusations. We arrived for a nice relaxing break and our expectations where definitely not met. Our room was situated so far at the back of the hotel that relaxing wasnt an option. I also asked when booking for a balocony room i was told they couldn't accommodate me as they have none..breakfast was cold at 8am in the morning the eggs where under cooked.i thought i could see past all that with a nice swim until i then realized the changing room was in highly unhygienic condition with wet towel over flowing a wash basket that was so full it nearly met the ceiling over all fact of the matter is if your looking for a place to enjoy this is not the place

Meant to put this up a few months ago - Stayed there for conference in October - Rooms were really decent and cleanliness standard was top class - Food in the restaurant was surprisingly good and not overly expensive - I'm not a hotel fan for the food but have to say the Castleknock Hotel was really good. Would stay again - but only problem is it's a bit far out of town ..

Decided to take the family away for a bit of a mid term break and Castleknock came up as a good family hotel. Selected a staycation package which included tickets for Dublin zoo, and generally was very happy. The public areas of the hotel are not quiet, at arrival we did stumble into a wedding party and the noise was incredible and while we were there the hotel were hosting a rather large 40th birthday party, christening celebrations and the wedding. Although this could be off putting it does mean we weren't so concerned about our own youngsters noise. The hotel is quite grand and the family room was very comfortable, we also used the swimming pool facilities which although small were clean and highly enjoyed by the wee one. The bar and restaurant are spacious and very well staffed. We had our evening meals in the 'bar' area which has a restricted 'cheaper' menu and the food was okay. The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of fresh fruit, cereals, cooked breakfast, gluten free options and an automatic pancake maker that my son now wants at home. Before we left we have already agreed that we will be booking again in the summer. Might not be the location for a quiet romantic escape but for a relaxed family break I highly recommend.

Really unimpressive accomadations , we stayed in both the suite and standard room. The suite was nice but compared to the numerous other 4 star hotels we stayed at it was the most blah of them we were at. The bathroom was essentially the same as the standard room and really felt like a waste of money to upgrade. Due to our flight being pushed we stayed another night in a standard room were we we found out there was no air conditioning and that if we opened our window the workers would smoke right underneath us and we would be stuck with the smell. Combined with the small room there is no real reason for us to come back.

My wife and I have been here for a couple days now. While the hotel itself is gorgeous and the staff is very helpful and professional, please note this IS a kid friendly hotel. So far, we have see more kids than adults, and unfortunately their parents allow them to run crazy at all hours of the day/night. Slamming doors , running up and down the halls, screaming/crying.... If it wasn't for all these parents expecting the hotel to be their babysitter, our stay would be even more enjoyable. While I do not blame the hotel for the situation ( I blame bad parenting), it should be stated that if you are looking for a quiet place to relax, you may not find solace here. The only refuge away from these kids is the Lime Tree bar. They have a great gin/whiskey selection , and you can have great conversation with the bar staff. Parking is easy and there are always lots of spaces available. They will also help you get a taxi which for between $20-$30 will get you into downtown Dublin (one way). The rooms are spacious and have a great decor , TV's are large and Netflix enabled. Wifi is super fast and free, breakfast is included and will definitely fill you up.

Stayed over the weekend of the WC final. Staff are brilliant, pool area is excellent for kids and the lobby area was great for watching the game. Our room was good, spotless clean and had everything needed. Would defiantly stay again.

Good place for enjoining away from day to day routine.
First day I wanted to enjoy romantic surprise for my girlfriend So I get romantic package.
Sadly to say, for a package I got only rose leafs on bed and rest was missing. Had to go and ask for missing "included in package" thinks. After a while all thinks what was missing find a way to the room - slowly - even I ask for all missing thinks to be broth back some of the thinks wasn't there.
Last stay I wanted to drink some think stronger
- first time I got Vodka with ice together so I asked to bring me separate. didn't happened (all together)
After all hotel was nice, food was grate, room lovely, Gym good

I hope next time I will visit it will be excellent

Can't thank the staff here enough. Very helpful from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed here for our 24th anniversary. The hotel even left a lovely surprise in our room on our anniversary when we came back from our day out. The room was clean and well maintained.

Hired the Sierra Room for a family gathering to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. Ger Keogh, the events manager was a terrific help in organising, and the service girls on the day were excellent!!

Lovely hotel, friendly staff. I arrived in late which was a pity as my room was lovely. I was in one of the newly decorated rooms which was very specious. The bed was massive with nice bedding and soft pillows. The amenities in the room were great, a nice size telly, kettle, pod coffee machine, still and sparkling water, safe, fan, iron and ironing board, gowns and slippers and the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries even down to a wash cloth. Reception arrange a taxi for me in the morning and offered a wake up call. There was a great selection for breakfast, it's a buffet self service. It's a pity I didn't have time to use the pool but fingers crossed for the next time.

Had a really great stay here the weekend. the staff are very attentive and friendly. The spa is so lovely and the pool was so warm. They made a mistake with our spa treatments and overbooked but the manager handled it very well with complimentary treatments. The bar is lovely, service and food was great. Rooms are very modern and clean. Will return here and would recommend it.

Dinner at the restaurant (not the pub food). Very disappointed. Floor was filthy, service was acceptable. Menu was indecipherable with no real options if you have food allergies or intolerance. Every dish had milk, and most had gluten. No choice to provide a meal for someone with those allergies that they could order without having to request something special.
Food was nice, but not fabulous and definitely not worth the price charged. Not heading back there any time soon.

12 of my family went for dinner on the 9th of Aug 2020. The staff where amazing, even when we had a problem with food there was always a happy face and it was fixed straight away. The Covid19 precautions are amazing and we all felt super safe

Absolutely stunning location away from the city center perfect for my needs. Although there was a small issue with an overbooking and I was given an alternate room but this was handled smoothly. I was more than pleased with the room I ended up in and am now trying to find an excuse to come back to stay there again!

On Sat the 5th of May. We celebrated our daughter's First Holy Communion. We booked the Castleknock Hotel Restaurant, Earth and Vine. We had 18 in our Party. Most of us in our group had never been before. What an experience. The Hotel is modern, chic and extremely well located. The Staff are friendly, kind and what we really liked full of personality. There was a Wedding and a few occasions on that day. That did not matter the service, speed and most of all was top class. I live in the UK and have been to a lot of world renowned restaurants well this is with them. We normally have our family occasions in a different Hotel but we decided to try something else and were not disappointed. The outside area was stunning with views over the golf course. The Staff are what make a Hotel and they were kind, friendly and could not do enough to help, professional and dedicated to service. They took the price of our Holy Communion children's meal off the bill. The age of children was 2 to 15 and they went out of their way to assist. If you are thinking of a venue we would highly recommend and good value for money. 5 star's the whole way. Thank You for making our day so special.

I try not to leave negative comments but the staff here drag what could have been a nice stay down. Dismissive, disinterested, unhelpful and even superior.
Sanjay in the breakfast room was however an absolute gem. They need more staff like him.

Very noisey, our room was right above the wedding venue so we were kept awake till 2:30 am, the room was so warm we had to have the window open all night and the noise from the air con units right under our window was an absolute nightmare. Rooms were cramped, not spacious at all. Staff were very slow to serve, very disorganised. Our evening meal was very nice, Eoin the waiter is an absolute credit to your establishment. So friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very poor. Staff were very slow to re stock the buffet and people were waiting ten minutes for fried eggs to be brought out hence the rest of the breakfast was cold while we were waiting..seating is very uncomfortable, looks great, but you wouldn't want to be sitting too long or your back will ache! Place was manic with kids running around under people's feet. The most unrelaxing hotel I have ever been to, nothing about this hotel would entice me to come back.

Myself and my partner came to stay at this wonderful hotel the service and servers were exceptional I'd like to say a special thanks to two barmen Mr Warren Ryan and Lee keenan. These two barmen made the stay go from a good stay to a perfect one. Both gentlemen went above and beyond to help myself and my pregnant partner thank you all at castleknock Hotel
