This place is a little gem. It's not as fun for smaller children, but great if you're interested in our towns history. You can have a tour guide to explain things. It's free, but they do have a donation box if you feel so inclined.

This was the 1st historical site we visited when we arrived in Castle Rock. Our docent was very informative and she was very knowledgeable about the area/residents and their historical events. What better venue ,to house historical memorabilia , than the depot that was central to every event in Castle Rock.
We truly enjoyed our time in Castle Rock and highly recommend it if you are visiting Colorado.

The Castle Rock museum is definitely worth a visit. Tons of history about Castle Rock and the area. All the volunteers are friendly and very knowledgeable. It is housed in the original Rail Road Depot with graffiti on the walls starting from 1875. Many interesting artifacts and pictures.

They have a walking tour of Castle Rock led by the volunteers that tells you about the town, buildings and ends at this museum.
