A very good experience every time I go here. The attractive counter attendant, Alex, is always more than helpful. I will return here for all my camera and photo printing needs. Also drones.

Like this review if you've received terrible service from PAT and are soo furious that you're bothering to leave a terrible review here :) I went to this store today to have passport photos printed for myself and my son. Given the impact that COVID-19 has had on our family finances, my wife and I tried to save money by taking photos at home with our DLSR, with the view to have those photos printed in passport size, at a cost of only several dollars. We were served by Pat who, when taking our order, failed to mention that the cost of simply printing the photos we had take at home would cost EXACTLY THE SAME as going through the normal passport photo taking process with them taking the photos for you in-store. As such, we we very shocked when it came time to pay and we were told the cost was $40 when we were only expecting ~$5 given that they were effectively only printing 8 small size photos. When we expressed our frustration to Pat, he simply said "I have followed company policy" and was non apologetic or empathetic and failed to acknowledge his error of failing to explain that the cost would be the same when he took our order. In my view, this conduct warrants misleading and deceptive conduct as one would expect the cost of printing passport size photos (4 cm x 5 cm) to be the same as or less than the cost of printing a 4 cm x 6 cm (currently showing as $0.39 each online). In providing service to us, Pat should have explained that the cost of simply printing the photos we had taken at home was going to cost exactly the same as them taking passport photos for you. If you are willing to support a business who deceives its customers and refuses to take responsibility for poor communication/service, then this is the store for you.

Staff member Edwin was incredibly helpful during my experience at the store.

Despite very limited technical knowledge I have been shopping around for a professional grade camera for some time. Unlike many other stores with impatient staff, driven by sales targets, Edwin was incredibly understanding.

After a few quick questions he was able to grasp my current photography level and show my a variety of appropriate camera lenses, bodies and more importantly how to best utilise them.

To anyone in the hills district, if you are ever in need of any camera related assistance, Edwin is definitely the best person to talk to. Extensive knowledge, work ethic and efficiency in all aspects. Great work mate.

Staff are friendly and helpful.. Lack of Sony products means that you have to shop elsewhere - but the staff are very kind for information

I took 2 rolls of film here despite being warned by multiple friends not to, the staff barely knew how yo operate their system so it took about 3 members and plenty of time to process my order (2 rolls printed and on usb) before telling me the price was $74.98.
At this point they had already taken my film, my own usb and my time so I decided to go ahead in hopes of some amazing quality, it has now been 2 weeks and I have not heard back from them, every time I call I either get hung up on or told the film will be ready tomorrow (this has happened 3 times).
If you want my advice just take your film to the local pharmacy, they develop for $14 a roll and do it in an hour.
Sad day when the pharmacy is better with cameras than the camera store.

Quite bad service..Asked for a price on a Sony A6000 50mm lense..Was quoted over $ 1000 for a $300 lense...tried to confirm if the price provided for the camera kit..I was asked to take it or leave it thats the price.

Checked on ebay and bought a lense for $ 257 later that day

Friendly staff. Went there to get some pictures printed, had no idea on what sizes we needed. The staff were very helpful and helped get the rright size needed.

Rude and extremely expensive - 2 passport photos for $70! will never visit again!

Castle Hill Camera House is a fantastic place in Castle Hill to get your printing needs. Extreme high quality printing on some awesome paper. They also colour correct each individual photo if you request it!

Decent range of compacts and a satisfactory range of DSLRs/Lenses. Would recommend to drop by if you're in the hills area. Just a tip for new shoppers definitely call in to check stock if you're wanting to purchase something. They are a small store and they may not have your requested product!

Poor service. Expensive. Staff saw me waiting with a baby but totally ignored me. Had to get passport photo done urgently so I waited, they charged the person before me $19.95 for passport photo, but when its our turn the price was $25, for 4 passport photos, also the lady also was going to settle on a photo with my baby's mouth opened (which is not acceptable to AU passport standard), but I insisted on retaking. Will never deal with this store again, terrible servce and extremely expensive.

They printed quickly but the customer service is far from good. The staff is unfortunately not very friendly or willing to go the extra mile.

Very happy with service. Called to ask if the had the backpack I was looking for In Stock. The assistant Brendan advised they did and was only too happy to hold it till I got there. When I arrived he gave me a demo of the bag. Lovely customer service. Would go back here.

WENT FOR A PASSPORT PHOTO...YOU KNOW WHAT IT WAS REJECTED BECAUSE OF THE LIGHTING WHICH EXPLAINS THEIR PROFESSIONALISM...WHEN I WENT BACK THEY EDITED IT BUT STILL FAILED...GOOD LUCK IF YOU ARE USING THEIR SERVICE

Good customer service but limited Camera/lense selection

Very rude customer service, the worst i have had to deal with to date. They have to tear open every camera box from original seal to satisfy there cravings of being the first to tamper with your product that you have paid for. Never come here to this store as you will find a cheaper price elsewhere. Not worth the heart ache. You are not buying a new device or camera but one that has been road tested and abused. They even use these cameras for passport photos and then resell the camera as if it was new. When you complain to the store they come back to you with it being store policy to open a box that the manufacturer has provided a seal of quality for them to make sure they can have there fun and raid it before you get that opportunity. If you, do go ahead and buy something from here and it is in it's box with no seal from the manufacturer i have tried to warned you. From here it's your call. I have been bitten once and never again. Not even if they have there fake sales as they will not price match and are always much more expensive. Now over to you...your choice.

Staff are very helpful, even when busy they are only to happy to help when you have a problem.

Super overpriced, shop elsewhere if possible. Return policy sucks. I have no idea how they are still in business..

Very good photography resources and photography-related electronic products

Don't bother, you won't get any service. I brought in a jigsaw puzzle to frame but the lady who's responsible for quoting is helping another customer. The other guy who's working can't do anything and won't let me put down my puzzle at the counter and the lady who clearly saw me holding that delicate piece of puzzle won't even offer to let me put it on top of the bench she's occupying. Left there standing and holding an awkwardly big piece of puzzle for a few minutes.

Not a good place for taking passport photos for the following reasons, firstly, expensive $25 for only soft copies, they charge as per their will. Secondly, poor quality of photos, AU post take better photos than these people, in fact I took photos again in AU post.

Shocking store. They having nothing there. Useless. Go elsewhere.

I get film developed through them and every time I get a call saying film is ready for pick up, I go in and it isn t entirely ready - either being photos are printed or the photos haven t been copied onto the CD. I find this lack professionalism and quality service. Staff are okay except one staff member always seems harsh and not very friendly, whilst another is always happy and easy to have a chat with.

Poor experience - went into store waited about 5 minutes to get some service - and there was non so I walked out bought the item from another store - a big fail. The attendant walk straight past me and never asked if I needed help - which I did .

Good choice of prints and canvas. Some sizes can not be printed at the self-service and Canon has no plans to add them.
