& the standard was very high.

I went there 41 years ago it was

A good school then

An average school for this area, staff are friendly enough, homework needs improving isn't stretching enough or often enough.
Spelling are given once a week,I have never been informed how my child does with these, ever.
P.E is often cancelled and not rescheduled.
Reading records books are given to every child, no teacher has ever written comments in it/ asked question about the book that is being read currently, the only person to do so was a T.A who was in my childs class in two different years.
I feel that I make more of an effort if I know that they are being monitored i.e make sure reading is being done every night, ask questions about what is being read and check spellings as it is this is not happening, disappointing.

The new Head has done wonders. In 6 months the school has become a pleasant and welcoming place. Teachers look after the kids. Office ladies are helpful and sweet. My kids are very happy there

Terrible school. Several good teachers have recently left since the formerly interim headmaster took over. My son now always has a different supply teacher and has no support at all. Once I was about to pick up my son when I saw him being abused by another classmate. The headmaster just stood next to them and did absolutely NOTHING. This sums up everything that is wrong with this so-called "academy"

below average school. very rude admin and finance finance. don't know how to give respect. lot of politics among staff.
