This org is great! You should definitely volunteer with them.

We took a class on planting trees. It was very informative. Our instructor was nice and knew when to answer a question and when to table a discussion for later. I would definitely go to another class or plant with them.

Casey Trees is the greatest. This was a recertification for Casey Trees Advocates. We got to practice our skills after a delicious brunch. I've taken workshops on tree identification, planting, pruning, and advocacy, and I've done all of those activities plus removing invasives and surveying street and park trees. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging. Its mission is restoring, enhancing, and maintaining the tree canopy of the District.
