Our home solar installation was completed by Cascadia Solar on time and on budget. That's what I expect from professionals. But what makes this a five-star review is much more -- the way Dave worked with us to craft the right solution, the professionalism of the crew on site when they constructed, and the careful explanations of each piece of the technical and regulatory processes exceeded my expectations. They bent over backwards to ensure we got maximum benefit from the installation. We've now been operating for six weeks without a hitch -- and I see the result on my significantly lower electrical bill.

We were interested in having solar panels installed on our roof, so we submitted a request to Cascadia Solar (and others) in April. Dave from Cascadia Solar responded quickly with a preliminary proposal for a system that addressed our intent, including associated financial information (e.g. system cost and how much we would expect to save each year on electric bills, given our present electric rates and use). When the COVID restrictions were lifted to allow (late May), Dave came to our house to do a site evaluation, and made some small updates to the proposal. We were very impressed with his practical approach and how well the proposal met our intent (provide 90+% of our power needs, use quality components with guarantees, at a reasonable price).
In mid-June, Cascadia Solar sent its team (Gene, Payton, and Ethan) to install the system. Team leader Gene was very helpful as we worked out details (e.g. where to mount the inverter, identifying a spot that worked well for us and them). The team also found a few unrelated items in the attic that needed repair (one roof rafter, a fan to vent connection, and an attic access panel) and fixed them (after asking) at no charge. They completed the installation in 3 consecutive days.
The needed inspections were completed with no problems. The electrical inspector said their company always does quality work. Dave came over the following day to show us how the system works and what information is available through their application. Again, we were impressed with his practical and helpful approach.
We couldn t be more pleased with Cascadia Solar. We highly recommend them to others considering solar installation.

From start to finish it was less than a month. That is from order placed to parts delivered and installed. With our timing and Cascadia s reputation, our system was inspected and on within a week from completion. We had a solid, competitive quote to start, a professional and attentive installation team of John and Payton. Dave was in touch from start to post completion. Even once we were started, they accommodated our wishes. . The only thing we would do differently is to have done it sooner....

Cascadia Solar just completed the installation of a solar system at my house. They were really great to work with, explaining all the options carefully and completely, they were flexible enough to do things exactly the way we wanted, and they installed everything quickly (and did a beautiful job). Everything went without a hitch, except for a slight delay imposed by the Covid19 pandemic, when the installers weren't allowed to work. We are completely happy with our system, and completely happy with the way the design and installation went, and I would highly recommend that anyone thinking about getting a solar system talk to Cascadia.

Our experience with Cascadia Solar was very positive from beginning to end. Our initial contact was with Dave Campbell, who took some information over the phone and then came to our house for a preliminary meeting and inspection, during which he reviewed our current electrical usage, the siting and suitability of our house for solar, and our current wiring and metering system. Dave was very pleasant to work with. He was able to answer all our questions and was very knowledgeable about the available federal tax credits and state and local incentives for which we might be eligible. He then created a detailed preliminary design and proposal which he came to the house to discuss with us. We were able to confirm the economic analysis and its conservative assumptions

There was some question as to whether we would be able to qualify for the incentive program with the Jefferson County Public Utility District, since that program was approaching its cut-off cap. We really appreciated how Dave was up front and honest about this, not promising anything he didn t think we could count on (although we are still hoping to be qualified for the incentive we should know soon!).

The system should pay for itself even without the state incentive, so we decided to proceed. The final contract was lower than the initial proposal.

John and Peyton, who installed our system, were very pleasant, considerate, and efficient (and extremely sweet to our rather noisy little dog). They arrived and finished the job ahead of schedule. After the system was installed, Cascadia Solar arranged for all the follow-up inspections and for Jefferson PUD to install the new meters and replace the old transformer, all of which took place very quickly. Cascadia Solar handled all the paperwork, sending us anything we needed to complete by email so we could scan and return it. Then Dave came out to the house to show us how to use the Internet program that allows us to monitor the output of our system on a daily and long-term basis, as well as to check how each individual solar panel is functioning.

In conclusion, if you are considering installing solar on your house or business, we would highly recommend Cascadia Solar.

We did a lot of research on solar systems and considered doing the panel installation ourselves after getting some sky high bids for the total job. Having been very happy with Frederickson Electric on a remodel we did we called to get an estimate on doing just the electrical portion of the job and learned that the solar portion of their business had become Cascadia Solar. Dave gave me a great bid on the electrical portion and was able to match the best panel and inverter prices I was able to find on my own. They ended up doing the entire project for us, at a very competitive price. Dave is super knowledgeable about the best component choices available. The shutdown delayed our project for a while but one benefit of that was our panels ended up being higher wattage than the original estimate, at the same price. The installation crew was highly professional and the system is now working perfectly. Highly recommended!

I was super impressed by Dave and his team. They were very responsive to all requests and incredibly knowledgeable and professional. I felt comfortable knowing that their company had been doing solar for over a decade and electrician work for 50 years. Highly recommended if you re considering residential solar before the tax benefits expire

As a member of the American Legion, I headed up a project to install a solar system (via donations) to offset our electric bill and provide clean energy that is easy on fish. Cascadia gave us a fantastic bid, Dave Campbell designed a superb system, and Gene installed it perfectly with the help of Ethan and Payton. It has been cranking out for a few days.

We chose to work with Cascadia Solar after looking at reviews, getting a couple of other bids, and watching them work on a large project across the street from our home. Dave, the point person we worked with on our project, was a pleasure to work with and great at explaining the process, the pros and cons of different systems, and answered any questions that we had along the way. The installers did an excellent job getting the system up and running. We were impressed how careful and respectful they were coming through the house, and up two flights of stairs, to access the roof with tools and some materials. Our experience with Cascadia Solar was outstanding, our system is producing and we're banking kWh for the darker months this fall and winter.

Cascadia Solar has done two solar installations at our home. They are thorough, professional and great communicators. Throughout the projects, from concept to final design, pricing and installation it has been a great experience. On the latest 4.8 kilowatt addition to our prior 8 kilowatt system, the installation was quick, clean and very professionally done. The installers completed the project in three days and the panels were inspected and brought online within a week. I couldn t be happier with the working relationship with the Cascadia Solar folks. They do a great, professional job. I am looking forward to the next project with them - adding Tesla PowerWalls to my system. I highly recommend Cascadia Solar.

Cascadia Solar, a division of Frederickson Electric, recently installed 12.75 kW of solar generation on our home. We were extremely pleased with the professionalism of the staff, from estimator to electricians. The firm delivered a complete package, from drawings to permitting, to installation, on budget, ahead of schedule.
The estimator was well-grounded in solar system design; he was honest, even a little conservative, in his estimates of expected performance. He kept us apprised of the schedule, informing us when minor changes were necessary. He was flexible in adapting to our preferences for choice of components, honest in sharing the relative attributes of each. He was generous in sharing his knowledge while educating us homeowners on the care and feeding of our new system.
The electricians who did the actual installation were excellent; they worked steadily, installing cabling in concealed locations where possible, even though it required some gymnastics on their part to accomplish it. They chose the location for inverters, battery and critical loads panel well, optimizing the components functions while creating an aesthetically pleasing installation. It is clear that the electricians take pride in their work.
Most tellingly, even the electrical inspector was complimentary.
I not only recommend that you include solar generation as part of your home, but that you consider Cascadia Solar, a division of Frederickson Electric, as your preferred contractor.

We contracted with Frederickson Electric to do the electrical wiring on the house we had built in 2015. We were immediately impressed with both the quality, efficiency, and thoroughness of their work. So, when it came time to think about adding a solar array to the house, Frederickson Electric was our first consideration. Cascadia Solar is the subsidiary of that company which handles the photovoltaic side of their business. Dave Campbell heads the organization and creates the proposals, contracts, and coordinates the procurement and installation of the equipment components. He also is responsible for attaining all of the necessary permit applications and scheduling the required inspections. Dave is knowledgeable in all facets of the solar industry and is adept in conveying and presenting information in a concise and friendly manner. He adds a personal touch to demystifying what can be a difficult subject to understand. He always took whatever time was necessary to ensure that my wife and I understood all of the various aspects of our solar project.
We opted for a 9.3 kW system, which uses 30 Silfab SIL-310 modules, Solar Edge optimizers and a Solar Edge inverter. The system also sports an LG battery backup. We signed on in mid March 2020 and were in line for an April installation but in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Governor issued his "Stay Home Stay Healthy" order and put Washington State into lock-down. This delayed the actual installation until mid May.
The installation crew consisted of three employees of Frederickson Electric. The lead electrician on the job was Eugene (Gene), along with two helpers, Ethan and Payton, who installed the racking, solar panels, and ran the PV string wiring. Gene had been one of the electricians that had originally wired the house and I was happy that he was on the job again.
The install took the better part of five days and went without a hitch. The workmanship was excellent and both my wife and I are very pleased and thankful we chose Cascadia Solar for our photovoltaic system.
The Solar Edge inverter comes with a monitoring system which is both user friendly and fascinating to use. So far the solar panels have generated a high of 7.8 kW and one day the system produced over 53 kW.
