A historical show of opulance, luxury and most of all, beauty. The third floor was dedicated to soldiers throughout Canada's history. The rest of the castle was huge with libraries, garden observatory, bedrooms, sitting rooms, dining rooms, and main lobby with pianos and fireplaces.
The towers are also accessible for those not afraid of heights and slim enough to fit up the small spiral staircases. My wife says the views are beautiful.
Outside, the gardens are phenomenal with fountains and sculptures... a great place to take photos.
They have also added a huge bar room for events and in the basement a cafeteria and gift shop. Interestingly, the walls on the lower level are lined with posters of movies that have scenes filmed at Casa Loma.
The underground tunnels to the stables were set up as the Legends of Horror for the Halloween season.
It was a great experience I would recommend to anyone interested in history.

Absolute gem! We visited just before Christmas with our kids. As busy as it was at that time, any and all of the staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful amidst the busyness. I would however, recommend visiting at a less busy time to really enjoy the history and architecture.

Perhaps the most signature castle of Canada and Toronto to visit and experience. One amazing energy of history, love and Italian spirit lingering in the beautiful gardens, the view is simply spectacular. Visit in the summer the concerts in the Garden, they are truly delightful, food is delicious, selection of wines and ambiance second to none. You have to go to know....

This review is specifically of the Symphony in the Gardens event at Casa Loma. There should be separate tickets for any special events at a venue with limited capacity. I can only hope Casa Loma management has reached this conclusion after the mess on Aug 29. People with a valid ticket and friends waiting inside with a reserved table seat, were turned away at the entrance. Some of these people had driven for over an hour from outside Toronto. Some were clearly on the verge of storming the castle... UPDATE: Adding two stars for the Legends Of Horror. Spectacular event, and well organized.

Nice place but not my cup of tea. Very boring for most guys. I'm sure if I was interested in history this would be a good place to go. Great for pictures. Wedding pictures would be nice in the backyard. There is also a nice view of the CN tower from one of Casa Loma's towers.

It turns out pallet was a crazy man child. I found casa loma to be far more entertaining then I had imagined. Use the audio guide and pay attention to how this guy lived. He was fasinated by the same things a 8 yr old would be.

It is a beautiful structure from the outside and makes an impressive sight in the neighborhood. The inside layout seems ill conceived and non functional for the original purpose. The interior design leaves much to he desired, but the garden room is beautiful.

Interesting castle. We stayed for about 4hours at 1st September 2013 and we took the audio tour. A lot of information about Sir Pellat.
But be aware, there is no aircondition! The visit of the scottish tower inside was at 100 Fahrenheit (outside moderate 73 Fahrenheit).
The food in the basement was awful.
The best places to visit is in the 1st and 2nd floor.

Casa Loma looked pretty cool. Unfortunately we couldn't go on but it was still really cool to learn the history a little bit from our guide and see the exterior of the castle. If you want a cool place to get a pic just go here it's not bad. 9/10 would recommend.

This estate is an experience and a must see when you are in the Toronto area. The architecture is ornate and beautifully designed. The majestic views from the towers will take your breath away, literally if you're afraid of heights. Furnishings from I'm guessing mostly original decor, helps set the scene for this glorys formitative years. Included is a guided audio tour and detailed map which will come in handy while meandering the labryinth type halls and rooms.

We had dinner at The Blueblood Steakhouse and could not have asked for better ambiance for an incredible evening under a clear summer night sky. It's nice to see Casa Loma in all its glory after the many years of restoration work.

I found Casa Loma to be very beautiful indeed. The castle and stables were both fantastic and seemingly carefully preserved. However, I feel that the large number of visitors coupled with the fact that it is essentially just for looking at took away from the experience.

A stunningly breathtaking place where many movies were shot. Although no royalty ever lived there, it can absolutely measure up with many European castles. Worth the $30 entrance (without the Pass), audio guide and map included. Google suggests 2 hours, but you can easily spend more time there. It also includes the garage and stables on the opposite side of the road, which are reached via a tunnel.

Beautiful and stunning place. The staff were very welcoming by the box office and the entrance. Learned alot about people who use to live there years ago and the old vintage furniture and stuff looks so classy and beautiful. I liked everything about that place. There was a wedding happening too, the patios were very nice too. I would recommend going to this place to visit and learn facts about the people who use to live there. Thank you.

A very interesting mansion, the owner controlled a quarter of Canada s business, it s amazing how much he did for Toronto. The mansion in European style, even there is a room in which the owner was going to dispose of the royal family of Great Britain in the event of a visit. There is also a restaurant, open from 5 pm.

Very interesting, not a castle but a mansion built by a industrialist who built it in castle style. Really recommend this visit, the history behind his rise and fall is very interesting. As are all the rooms and furniture in the mansion. I highly recommend a Toronto tourist card. It is cheaper and you get past the line.

This is a a great attraction to learn more about the history of Canada and Sir Henry Pellatt. Most disappointing part of the attraction is the underground tunnel there is not much to see and if there's a lot of people you might get stuck there.

Buy the citypass to see this and others and walk through the castle in your own time. Theres lots to see - a dark tunnel takes you through to the antique cars and gardening area. Take a moment to live in the billiard room imagining the old times and the room with the large piano - on a clear day they open the window and the breeze gently flows in...
