When we arrived to this place, the two people working there were distracted. We were given no clear guidance about how our tour and tasting was to be conducted. We waited 45 minutes outside before the next tour at 3. About 5 after, an attendant offered to take us on a private tour, which was rushed. We were told we did not get to see one section, but no explanation was given. Our tour basically just led us through the rooms, and didn't include any information on the process of wine making. Every time we asked a question, I had the feeling that our guide was annoyed at the delay. We did not ask that many questions. The tastings are conducted at a counter where your attendant stands and waits for you to toss down your wine so you can quickly go on to the next. My daughter and I did not feel at leisure to discuss what we were tasting, and no real knowledge was imparted about each of the wines was shared by the person pouring the wine. She just stood there watching us, seeming bored. The wines all had a bitter aftertaste, sweet as they were. This place has all the trappings of a really nice spot; the building, evocative of old Italy, is nonetheless devoid of character. It felt like Disney World. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the vineyard behind and to the side were nice. It is rather spoiled by its proximity to the road in front, and the vista to the back is ruined by a neighborhood of McMansions that the vineyard's owner, apparently also a developer, had built. My impression is that this is more of a store than a winery. Most of the 'tasting room' is given over to pricey retail displays. For all its slick presentation, there was very little to lead me to believe that there was any focus on craftsmanship here. It's all commerce. If you are a true wine aficionado, skip this place.

Today was the winelovers' party at casa larga. We experience the best of this year's wine and some delightful food selections to accompany them. The staff is as pleasant and informative as always. This is a great place to find good wine and good people.

Lady with curly hair and hedgehog tattoo was horrible to us. We spent so much money there and we re trying to spend more money and she asked us when we were leaving and was very rude. Horrible atmosphere inside is as if you are at a funeral. Only go here if you can be outside and don t have to deal with hedgehog lady lol. Song Hill is way nicer! 3 miles down the road!

Very unique vineyard. There's a ton of events planned here. I was recently here on a wine tour and then the ice wine festival! Great staff with lots of wine knowledge.

My favorite feature is the custom labels. Buy a bottle of wine and get a custom label made for it! It's such an amazing idea and it's professionally done. I've gotten two so far. I can definitely see more in my future already.

Came to Casa Larga as the last stop on our Canandaigua wine trail pass. Large place indoors and actually one of the most crowded... looked like a lot of last minute Christmas shopping!

Our pass allowed us to try 5 from the 'regular list' and 3 from the reserve list (amazing offer), so we took our time and enjoyed our tasting. Ordered a cheese plate to accompany us-- included samples of 3-4 cheeses and crackers. A bit lackluster and below average, but seemingly still satisfied ... we were really hungry.

Didn't buy any wine to go, but our service was really really great. Our servers were very thoughtful and spent a good portion of their time giving us restaurant recommendations along with advice on the best grape pie in the area :)

Very very wonderful people! They are so kind and knowledgeable. The ice wine is superb and the wine and chocolate tasting was excellent! I also had some wine shipped from here, and when it was shipped broken, not only did they replace the wine, but I received another bottle free of charge! Highly recommended!

We had our wedding at Casa Larga and it was amazing!!! Tammy, our coordinator was the best! She was so organized, genuine, and kind! She made sure that we had absolutely nothing to worry about and that we were able to enjoy our day. Belinda Countryman was so helpful and responsive to any questions or concerns that we had! Chapels catered our event. The food was fantastic we had so many guests compliment how delisious the food was! We had such a wonderful experience at Casa Larga. Of course there was a few hiccups along the way but, the team went above and beyond to ensure our happiness.

Went there for a brunch fundraiser this morning. The venue is beautiful. The staff very nice and accommodating. The only challenges I noticed; the kitchen/wait staff had a longer than necessary delay in filling food pans/ serving trays, and the PA system was not as loud as it needed to be in order to hear the speakers and MC properly. Two very fixable items.

I just recently went to Casa Larga and the service was terrible. We waited for over ten minutes between each pour, the women glossed over us as if we weren't there and the woman who was originally serving us left mid service because her shift ended and we had to wait for another woman to realize we were still in the middle of pours. There were not that many people there, and the fact that we basically had to ask the servers to pour out next drink was ridiculous. Also the cheese platter was so sad and depressing, especially paying 7$ for 5 crackers and 4 pieces of cheese with some raisins. The only good part about this place is the landscape and the one sangria wine. Other then that the wine was average and nothing to boast about.

My girlfriend and I sampled some wine from Casa Larga at the Rochester Public Market one Sunday and decided to purchase a bottle for that evening. The person doing the tasting was very nice, but after we paid she mistakenly put the wrong wine in our bag (a less expensive bottle though we paid a few dollars more for the right one). We only realized the mistake when we got home.
I called the wine shop to let them know, I didn't expect anything--what were they going to do? We live downtown 25 minutes away. I just wanted to prevent the mistake from happening to others. I figured there was an outside chance they'd offer me a small discount on our next bottle or something.
Instead, Jim answered the phone and was super nice, apologized (not that it was anyone's fault, these things happen...) and offered to DELIVER the correct bottle we paid for to our house after he got off of work. We were very grateful that he went above and beyond--we could have made do just fine--and he even made sure to bring it chilled.
We've had experiences with Casa Larga in the past ranging from average to good, but we both have a newfound respect and admiration for their wine and their business. We'll be back for sure.
Thanks Jim!!

Spent an amazing day drinking wine and eating chocolate. Beautiful views of the vineyard and the staff was so helpful and knowledgeable about the wines. Left with so many bottles of clean, crisp wine. Will recommend to anyone!

My husband and I went to the new Casa Larga Food Truck last evening. The food was OUTSTANDING!! The chef was so professional and nice. The servers, who brought drinks out, were so pleasant and accommodating. What a great experience!!! I highly recommend trying Casa Larga - it looks like the Truck will be there every Thursday and Friday from 5:00 - 8:00.

Stopped for a wine tasting and was looking forward to sitting out on their patio on a nice sunny day. Patio is nice and large allowing you to spread out from others but it is located right next to the main road, and has really no view other than the front of the building. The whole time we were on the patio, an employee was trying to move the food truck but for 20-minutes he just went back and forth 10-feet revving the engine. Also their website info and prices do not match their actual tastings; they charge you more for less than advertised online.

I like their sweet wine and took 10+ bottles home. Cheese plate is ok. The building looks nice outside but not very impressive inside. The lady attended me was very kind, gave me a cup of coffee to chill out. Their dry wines are around average, however, sweet wines still deserve a try.

We were given the ice wine and the ice wine BBQ sauce as a gift and I made slow cooked ribs that were fabulous with beans and coleslaw. I wish I had a case of the BBQ sauce. I would use it personally and share with special friends as a gift.

I was there for a private party of about 60 people so keep that in mind. They did a fantastic job with the brunch. Very well organized, excellent food and service. The only thing that underwelmed me was their red wine. But that is a matter of taste and I prefer white anyway. Overall, a five-star experience.

Always love the ambiance, service, Berry Lilac Slushy, Lilac Hill, and always leave with several bottles of wine. Really enjoy the Hedonist Chocolate Wine Tasting. A must visit for anyone who loves a variety of tasty wine!

I cannot say enough about this place. Tammy was our coordinator and was awesome throughout the whole process. Everything was perfect. Food was AMAZING. Everyone is still talking about how good it was. I am beyond amazed at their professionalism, promptness, friendliness, etc. I really cant say one negative thing. We were over the moon ecstatic at how perfect the venue was!

I love this winery for their wine! Everyone will be able to find a wine they like. I have had 3 awesome pourers, one girl not so much (not as enthusiastic and didn't explain any details of the wine, just poured), but it dosent take away from the yummy wine. I love when you go and learn so much about wine. The wine club is an amazing deal. Recommend this to everyone!

I have always been greeted warmly and treated professionally at Casa Larga Vineyards! The wine is delicious and the tasting experience is always enjoyable. I regularly include a trip to this winery when I travel to the Rochester area!

Place looks nice from the outside, but when you get inside the disaster begins. The wine is average at best, the tasting room is small given the size of the building so beware of crowds. Now the fun part, no pun intended.. The check out register. The line took FOREVER, for like 10 to 12 people? They only have one register and no one knows how to use it. Great place to go if you like a 10 minute tasting and to wait in line 40 minutes to pay for it!

I had purchased a case of Tramonto wine last fall...

I had purchased a case of Tramonto wine last fall. The wine had a strong vinegar smell and taste. I had even returned one bottle and I was informed the wine was indeed bad. I was sent a new case of wine. The first bottle I had opened was almost fine. But several weeks thereafter I opened another bottle which was like drinking vinegar. The remaining bottles were the same so I just used them for cooking. I complained about this several weeks ago and have heard no response. There is definitely something wrong with the way you are making wine. The bacteria in your production and/or bottling has not been adequately sanitized. This bacteria slowly infects the bottled wine and turns it into vinegar. That's why the first bottle I had opened was almost fine, thereafter the other bottles spoiled.

I ordered a gift basket as a Christmas present to be sent to a Florida address, the money came out of my account on Dec. 9, 2015. This is what then happened.
Dec 24th the gift basket hadn't been recieved by the reciepent. To make this short, I called Casa Larga and spoke to a "manager" who told me the package had been signed for at the correct address in Florida on the 22nd. According to Fed Ex, the package never left NYS and was returned to Casa Larga, an employee of Casa Larga signed receipt of it.
The two different "managers" I spoke to were untruthful with me about delivery of the package and its return to Casa Larga. They, also, did not accept any responibility for this package which they had resent. The package has still not been delivered and it is now after Christmas.

Really nice place for Vineyard tour and wine tasting. They have a huge Vineyard and a great collection of wines. The price for wine tour and tasting was nominal and they give a lot of options to choose from for wine tasting. You can do a wine with chocolate tasting too.

30 minute drive to wait 30 minutes for a wine tasting. Not to mention we weren't even acknowledged by the staff. There is no bar space and they obviously cater to large parties. Can't comment on the taste of the wine because we got so annoyed we left and went to another winery!

On way on 5 very drunk women were in parking lot calling customers on their way in rude names.
Got inside and there were more women screaming and running around.
Went into pouring room and there were 2 groups being helped and another 2 groups waiting.
We end ed up just leaving being put off by the 2 groups of "ladies".
Might want to check amount you serve to groups.

We had an amazing first experience today! We went in for a wine tasting since it was birthday! Heather was absolutely amazing and took the time to go over everything with us and make sure we were satisfied. Since it was my birthday I got a free wine tasting which was pretty awesome. Plus when we paid for my boyfriend he didn t mentioned his law enforcement discount cause we don t like to make it known , however, when she found out about it she made it known she was getting her manager to give us our discount! I wanted to take the time to make sure they know how appreciated we felt and how amazing they made my birthday! We will definitely be going back with our friend group.
