This is not a four star hotel. Staff and service was mediocre. This is not a resort either. Besides the pool area and half maintained tennis courts the hotel does not have any other activities. Furniture is old. Dining seats were stained and dirty.

Hotel in the style of a rather North African village. It was our first hotel in South Africa and we liked it immediately. Unfortunately, we only had one night, as we were on the way to Krugernational Park.
although computers are available, manual consumption !!!!! made and takes about half an hour .... brown water comes out of the tap at first .... if you are not buffet and you order a la carte you have to wait an hour ... accommodation in the suite is very good
We only stayed one day, but we were just thrilled. The entire hotel complex built like a small town so with streets and small walls, winding. Sure, at night a bit dark, but totally exciting. In the adjacent green areas swimming pool and further back small monkeys, which are very trusting. But you should still be careful with the monkeys.
Our suite huge, two levels. The bathroom nice, separate toilet, which we found very good.
Went in as day visitor. The gardens look amazing. Loved the variety of tropical plants - from hibiscus flowers to palm trees and giant bamboo trees! We chilled by the swimming pool, which was awesome. Food was tasty and well presented. Restrooms are kept tidy and a pleasure to use. The baboons came by, so beware!
Went there as a remembrance trip of one of the first trips my wife and o experienced
Unfortunately it was very disappointing
The toilet light didn t work the hot water bath tap did not allow any water to flow the telephone to reception did not work either which meant walking to reception to report the faults which were never rectified
We asked for more coffee and they brought us two sachets we eventually bought our own coffee the next day they forgot to leave teaspoons in the room so we had to make a plan to stir our coffee
What a shame such a perfect place can be left to rack and ruin

It's a great and relaxing place to be, however, I think they should fumugate the bathrooms because I saw spiders in the bathroom.
The staff was very friendly, the room was spacious, big if I may put it direct. We really enjoyed our stay.

They renewes the painting and they have made a complete disaster.
Beige wall instead of white (have they ever seen a Portuguese or spanish village???) and red/maroon coloured columns....totally out of theme.
Not to mention the "street" board: which are out of contest also.
It was an outstanding place full of heritage and character.
Now is a eyesore and very disappointing to see a once proud Heritage being overshadowed by pure ignorance.
Beautiful and central location for exploring. Some minor challenges pertaining to limited vegetarian options, broken balcony door upon arrival in our villa and virtually non-existent WiFi, even in good weather amongst one or two other small issues. Otherwise staff very helpful, kind and caring. Overall very good place to stay!
Huge rooms, relaxing, working pool and very attentive staff.
Located in the Mpumalanga Lowveld, North of Hayzeyview on route to the Kruger National park, this accommodation offering provides world class experience on a beautiful African backdrop. I love the Mediterranean feel. The hotel is build like a small Italian/ Spanish Village with each suite being a delta gated room of it's own.
They gave good strong Wifi, clean water and access to a wide array of outdoor activities su h as white water rafting, horse riding, paintball and of course Safari tours.
This is one of the primire destinations in Mpumalanga province and is very good value for money.
The area also has an outdoor fireplace with rocks and a wooden Surrounds.
The area is different from South Africa's central grassland interior where I am from as it has a canopy of tall pine trees giving it a very green forest feel.
I loved my trip to Casa do Sol and I am definitely going back soon.

Just a beautiful hotel. Looks a bit like a mediterranian village. Very beautiful decorated rooms. Great surroundings and a beautiful pool. One of the best places we visited during our trip to South Africa. Very kind and helpful staff, who will arrange about anything for you. Even your car gets washed the day you check out.
Nice environment , great outing for the whole family . it accommodates all ages and the service is very great from the whole staff .

This place is absolutely beautiful.
Even though it feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, the place is really cozy! You can also spot a few wild animals.
Staff was really friendly and helpful, and we got to try some local specialities - really good ones, too.
Rooms and bed were nice and clean, mostly mosquito safe too - but for good measure, bring a mosquito net. You should bring it with you anyways.
Internet connection was pretty good too.

Lovely grounds and service, but steer clear of the chicken at the dinner Buffett. My husband was violently ill with food poisoning and when I let the staff know at check out they were more concerned about ensuring we had paid for our dinner bill versus giving a simple apology. A very sad end to what should have been a very pleasant stay.

The place is like a mini heaven, as you drive in, you start seeing their absolutely breathtaking garden. Actually, the entire resort is breathtaking. I was there for 3 days but every day that I stepped outside, I would be awe because of how beautiful and well kept the place is.
The pool is amazingly clean and beautiful and the pool area is very relaxing. It's the perfect place to go to if you want a break from the city life and just unwind.
The staff was absolutely friendly and so welcoming which is one of the top reasons that made me enjoy my stay, we felt so at home and the fact that the food was always so amazing was a huge plus for me.
BUT the one thing that made the stay there a bit unbearable was rooms!! The rooms do not look like they are maintained at all, everything seems kinda old there, from the shower to the toilet and the paint on the walls that are worn out. And now to make matters worse, we had to deal with killing LIZARDS every single day in our room which made me dread going to our room. I'm guessing they get in through the windows that have slight openings at the bottom and also corners due to lack of maintenance or they got in through the door at the bottom as there are no door draft stoppers. This is actually the reason why I rated them a 3 because of that.
But apart from the downside in the room, the resort is an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING place to go to with your partner or even family.

This place needs serious revamping. Their best room was disappointing the carpet was not clean and old. Serious renovations is needed. And it is very scary cause it's with lots of corners and there's no much people, so imagine that
