One of the most fun and unique restaurants in the country! Food is not good, except for the soapapillas. The kids will have the time of their lives!

The food was horrible. They had very limited choices for not meat eaters. I don't eat read meat so I ordered some sort of chicken thing. They gave me steak instead. The atmosphere was different and fun. The kids really enjoyed the play type things they put on and going through the tunnel. If they didn't make you buy the food, no one would go here to eat. Its a better amusement play house than restaurant.

This place never gets old. The food is OK, but you really don't go here for the food. You go for the entertainment and that part ROCKED

I know the food is not always the best. Only I still love to go. Fun place for the whole family. Got a lot to see and do. Wish we had a few more places that has this much fun. Plus maybe with a little better food too.

This is a place to bring the children. They won't mind the food taste like cafeteria food and they will love the atmosphere. Plenty to keep them engaged and make dinner become a night out for them. You might have a harder time getting past the good quality, but you will have fun with the little ones. Without kids...go somewhere else.

Took a group of kids better and it was so surreal. Not that it's a bad thing! It was completely bonkers and the kids had a blast. The adults enjoyed the diving and the kids loved the gorilla. If you're confused by this review, go check it out yourself!

High price foods. The acts in the shows are repeated throughout the day. Not very exciting to watch. Best part of the shows are the dives. Not a place for children or adults with special needs. It's a really loud and high sensory place. Hard to navigate through because it's really dark. Out dated and dirty carpet. Waterfall inside is nice.

Name one other restaurant that has been around almost 50 years? Name one that people delight in making fun of the food. Sure, the food isn't the main attraction. And that is the point. CB is an attraction, a piece of living history and a blast to boot. Just make sure you explore every nook and cranny. A must see for anyone from out of town and the spiritual center of Denver wacky. Do. Not. Miss.

Do you enjoy meals near a cliff side? How about dinner and a show? Prefer magic? Or a stroll through a Mexican village? Haunted houses, arcades, gift shops?! Well this Denver landmark is a treasure trove of wonder! You can get all you can eat, watch cliff divers, enjoy the structural marvel of Casa Bonita. All that I listed above is tuck away in what at first glance seems to be a small restaurant located in the corner of a STRIP MALL!!! There are mines to explore 2 arcades, frequent shows, mariachi bands! Seriously why are you still reading this?! Casa Bonita has food and fun and friendly atmosphere... Go NOW

It's a fun place. We have been going there since the 80's. I loved it as a kid and my kids love going there to when we make it to Colorado. I took one star off because it seems they could work on cleaning and some general maintenance.

This has to be the worst place I have ever eaten food at. To give it one star is even too much. The kitchen looked so utterly dirty, they'd have to pay the health inspector off to keep it running. The cafeteria trays were bad enough but to have someone toss plates and have them crash into each other and in my direction was insane. Plus my food was bubbling under a heat lamp, that's how my terrible food got heated up. So now we get to eat the food. My green chile burrito had no green Chile on it whatsoever. Also, how in the world do you mess up rice? I dont get it. My dog can make better rice than that. After an hour or so, I start to get sick from the food. So sick that I had to leave the place and get home. I didnt even bother going to their bathrooms because of how disgusting they are. Unless you want to spend the rest of the night on the toilet, I wouldn't suggest coming here. Please save yourself the money, save yourself the time, save your stomach from hurt, and save your toilet from punishment.

Food was disgusting. Line cooks and food servers were ill prepared and rude. Tried to give me black guacamole. Hosts spent 10 minutes trying figure out how many to seat in our party and we kept saying 7. Our table server was efficient and on it. The refill plates for the deluxe combos were fresher than the one we left the food line with. Sopapillas were delish.

Love the atmosphere here, lines are long at dinner time on the weekends and prices are a little expensive. But I love coming here and enjoying the shows and just exploring the entire place. I actually like the food and never had any type of issue. I do recommend to go early in the day or lines will be out the door.

Such a fun environment! The food isn't great and is very overpriced, but it's worth an occasional visit for the entertainment. Great for kids!

If you don t mind waiting 40minutes in line and eating overpriced food (the taste is not bad, but the portions are small), the one time experience inside of Casa Bonita can be fun. Bring kids for sure (but make sure to entertain them in the never ending line)

Loved it had so much fun here. Food is good. First time here and seeing cliff divers. Really enjoyed it.

All in all great family experience. From the shows to the service. Casa Bonita gets a bad wrap for the food but everything was great for my family and I. Celebrated my son's birthday here and the fried ice cream was delicious!

Atmosphere was amazing, food was less amazing but a cool place to visit.

Being honest, nobody really comes here for the food. If you overlook that quality you're in for a treat.there's always plenty going on but the best part in my mind used to explore all the different rooms of the restaurant that are not normally being used.

I have left a lot of reviews on Google. I generallu like to keep them positive. I know someone's livelihood is this business. That is why it pains me to write such a bad review for this restaurant.
The food was almost inedible. The sopapillas were inedible in my opinion. I have had sopapillas in South America and feel bad for everyone who had their first sopapilla at this restaurant.
I ordered the #3 taco and enchilada combo. It was almost $15 and the taco was smothered with cheap nacho cheese plus every other item on my plate was almost flavorless. Even the chips and salsa they provided were gross. I generally eat too many before I meal, I ate two whole chips at this restaurant before deciding it was not worth bothering with.
Afterwards my husband and I both just felt gross. Like that feeling you get after you eat a junk food me but we didn't even have the satisfaction of having enjoyed our entrees.
On the plus side my 3 year old daughter did enjoy the show and arcade.
Casa Bonita, I love the concept and look of your restaurant. Please just serve food that is palatable or at least comprobable to Taco Bell. We're not trying to ask too much from you.
Oh also service was mediocre.

Great place to be for the adults and kids! The food was great and the cost was cheap! The kids had a blast. The customer service was excellent

Casa Bonita is a old favorite that many transplants like to visit when coming home to Colorado. The food is average for Mexican, but their sopapillas are the very best! The entertainment including mariachi bands, cliff divers, and Black Bart make for a fun time. The arcade games and the lower arcade, which I think I just discovered in my 40s, are a lot of fun. I will definitely be back!

Placed me in an otherwise empty restraint next to a busy children's birthday party despite having almost no patrons. I asked to be seated elsewhere, yet the hostess declared due to the shift change I couldn't be seated anywhere else.
The food was barely palatable only after three (3) tiny bowls of salsa was added on top, of course, one at a time over the course of 15 minutes. 14.88 for a Nacho "Salad" which consisted of a pitiful amount of iceberg lettuce and excessive amount of various shredded cheese they call queso was insulting.
Service was average, yet after requesting to speak to a manager, which was not the manager it turns out, I am told there is no way I could been seated anywhere else while I pointed out at least 12 tables open and clear. At least ONE table separation is a typical courtesy. Obviously not here.
It may be fun for children, but adults must please steel their hearts and minds and bear through it for the sake of the little ones I suppose. There are many forms of entertainment for kids of all ages and the facility is quite large so this makes tracking your family down challenging.
I will not return and adamantly advise to go somewhere, anywhere other than Casa Bonita for your special event needs.

Life long south park fan.. went here on a work trip to Denver and was not disappointed. The restaurant is huge, has sopapillas, cliff divers, blackbarts cave and the puppet shows just like on TV. I would've loved this place as a kid. The food isn't very good... but it's not too expensive and isn't really why I visited here.

if you are an out-of-towner skip the aquarium restaurant and go here instead. service was very good. The shows were entertaining even for off-peak weekday times. understand that the price of food includes the entertainment. my kids were amazed by the interior and this was our favorite stop in Denver for them.
I wish they had signage saying there is no take out, like the signs that say Age 2 and out must order a meal. we went to dinner only half hungry and were planning to take home leftovers for lunch the next day

Came all the way from tulsa to eat here and it was the worst food we have eaten in a long time. The meats were terrible and the service was too. Prices were out rages for the food. We do not recommend it to anyone

I Luv this place ....my friends and I came here from iowa ...i haven't been here in 30 years but this place is truly a experience..the comedy skits..the divers..the caves...BUT BECAUSE OF COVID ITS CLOSED!!!..i hope it reopens if it doesn't it will b a sad day....

This place was the worst place ive ever been to ,they ruined a birthday to begin with we were brought to a table full of dirty food they didn't even try to clean it then they tell me this is normal,i had to ask for a manager for them to clean it, they gave us wrong sodas, my food was cold , and to me tasted like microwave tray food to top it of the rudest and worst customer service anywhere ive been i thought maybe the sopapias would fix it, nope to me its just dough(no flavor)they have old caramel out on tables that tastes like old maple syrup i left with diarrhea from stale beans...this is all my personal opinion but i believe mcdonalds would have been a better eat hell at this point id settle for dollar tree food trays with a side of popcorn probably a way better investment again this is my opinion your mileage may vary if i could id leave negative 5 stars i would

Listen, if you come for the food you re wrong. If you come for the service you re wrong. Casa Bonita is The Room of restaurants, no one can explain why it is so good it just is. If you try to question any one aspect of this place you are wrong, it s not supposed to make sense, that s what makes it so fantastic.

Cliff divers are always fun to watch. Staff was awesome, food was okay, arcades left a lot to be desired.

We love the all the activities that are available. The food is good as well

This a unique local experience. It what you would get if Chucky Cheese and a Mexican restaurant had a love child. It's better if you think of it as entertainment more than food. The food is mediocre Mexican food that leaves you feeling bloated for hours to come. But the experience of watching cliff diving while you eat and taking your kids through a scary cave, puppet show and arcade is fantastic. And realizing that the South Park episode was not making this up.

Food is pretty bad. to make things worse, you and your family have to stand in line to be seated, all while holding your trays full of food with no place to set it down.
Atmosphere is cool, though.

Love showing your place to my Grandaughter who rode in the bat mobile the last time she was here 17 years ago. This year her Dad was with her. Fun memories day. Thank you Casa Bonita.

Forced to wait a long time. Our party was split up trying to get our food. We came in with a party the promised to pull to tables together and in the end after trying to cram is into a booth they split us up not even close to our group.

Casa B is still that really cool childhood memory with Bart's gunfights, the mariachi band and the cliff divers.... Despite the added South Park influence, the food was just not up to what one would expect. So, entertainment value great. Food... Just not good.

Casa Bonita is unique and always a hit when out of town guests come to visit. The food is average, but it's the overall experience that makes this place a treasure. Go here just to keep that child-like sense of fun.

Really good food, very impressive place and the shows were really good.

Been here a few times. Definitely only come for the atmosphere not the food. The food is alright but calling it authentic Mexican food would be going to far.

So disappointed today. No staff. No management. 5 yr old hurt finger in arcade and no one to ask for ice. Waited 15 minutes for check and another 15 for a to go bag, which was tin foil. 3 games broken in arcade and both ticket redemption machines broken and not one staff member to help. We had to hand count over 400 tickets. Asked "lead" Paul for name of manager so I could call back and was told he was "trained not to give out managers name!" The food isn't the only thing terrible about casa bonita.

It was okay. Food is horrible. Shows are different. Arcade is older than my grandma. It is definitely a 1 time experience.

5 stars for atmosphere. 2 stars for food. Let's face it, no one goes here for the food.

You can get the idea from other reviews. Here is my take. The food is generally bad. Personally I liked the all you can eat chicken more than the beef. Its cheesy and decent. It DID give me the runs within an hour. If you want great mexican food, this isnt it. Its sloppy runny and your stomach will hate you.

The salsa they give you is rather authentic and good. Even though "chips and salsa" isnt REAL mexican, the salsa is thin and peppery, the way real salsa should be.

The reasons you go to Casa Bonita... not the food... but the atmosphere and entertainment. Its for kids, so the terrible acting isnt a deal breaker. They have divers, shows, and a ton of things to walk around and explore like caves and hidden arcades. Many go because of the South Park episode. You may need to be a kid to enjoy it as much as Cartman, but its still great.

Dont get all you can eat unless you know you will eat a second plate. Its cheaper to get a regular dish. It is great to be able to order extra if you know you will finish it. The chicken tacos are decent. Not much on them, but tastey.

Another thing you may notice is the smell. Its a mix of a public pool and Mexican food. This may sound unpleasant, but if you are a fan of or have been to Epcot or other similar theme parks you will understand. The Mexico part of Epcot is very close in atmosphere.

Great place. I only gave 4 and not 5 stars, because of the food.

A very unique and fun place you won't find anywhere else.

After all my visits I can finally say I found something I can eat. Chicken from the fajitas, the queso from the chips and some of the rice, guacamole, and sour cream. leave the rest in the plate. Great for taking out of town guests, just for the quarky, not the food.

The food tastes like a mix between frozen Mexican and gas station enchiladas. Prices are inflated. And the experience everyone seems to rave about is quirky, and the oddity seems to wear off quite quickly. You have to come once, but that should be enough for a lifetime.

The food isn't why you're here which is why it's mandatory purchase for entry. Sopapillas yes please all of them, all you can eat. Big nope on all you can eat combo plate, barely OK Taco salad even the fajita was questionable. Divers awesome. Rides for kids, hit and miss, arcade mostly out of order. Far from its glory days but the servers are hard working and the show is worth it along with the old timey photo place. Just don't expect to love the food. Sopapillas and Margaritas. Skee ball and dive show. That's about all that's right with this place still, oh and black bart's cave. Couldn't comment on the puppet show we didn't catch it.

Not known for their food, but you have to go at least once - especially if you're new or visiting Denver. The diver show is fun for kids. Great for birthday parties.

Food is average fast-food quality, but you don't go to Casa Bonita for the food. You go for the experience. The best way I can describe it is as the Disney World of Mexican restaurants, and if you've seen the South Park episode about Casa Bonita it's pretty much spot on. Of course, I can't spoil it for you - just go and try it yourself, especially if you have kids or a bunch of rowdy friends. You won't regret it. Also we got the diver guy to do a belly flop 10/10.

The food was horrible. The prices versus quality of food....way too much for what you get especially when patrons are required to order a full meal just to get in. You would think a restaurant would take more pride in the food it serves. This will be our first and last visit. Shame on you Casa Bonita!

Lots of exciting things to see and do. Food is so so, definitely over priced. But the shows are fun and family friendly.

It is a tourist trap. However, if you have kids it is a must. At least once anyway... The atmosphere is what you go for period. The food is mediocre which is why one star was lost. The other star was lost due to the long wait and uncomfortable temperature while in line and while eating. They really needed to crank up the A/C. They stuck us in a pink-princess themed area that was not as well ventilated as the open areas of the restaurant. (Insist that you get a table with a view of the divers.) We couldn't see anything going on from the "Pink Nightmare" location that we were seated in. My daughter thought it was great but out of the party of 9 she was the only one happy about the set up. The kids did have a blast though. They do serve booze so if it becomes unbearable that is always an option. We left before having to resort to that.

I give this place 2 stars. Beautiful design. Awful food. And the dust was so thick in the air 2 people in our party couldn t breathe. The sound system was horrible and needs to be updated and pretty sure we served canned chicken.

I really expected a lot more from this place, but the food just brings it down to one star. Ridiculously expensive and terrible quality and I wouldn't be surprised if they reused leftovers. Diver was good but he did three dives and that was it. Interior is really impressive and has potential but overall it's just not worth it.

What a truly pretty house. I take this place for what it is, a unique experience. You don t come here for the food, you come for the imperfection, nostalgia, and corny theatrics. Our waitress Penny was AMAZING! Definitely a 5 star experience in my book.

The food is just as awful as you heard it was. But the tunnels for kids are fun amd games. The show which is kind of hard to see is nice?

Food was as expected, shows were interesting . . . .but the damn arcade . . . . so HOT and only has one ticket eater thing and they were forcing us to use it even with maybe 100 tickets . . . .then it broke! You already made me stand in line . . . . don't double down on it in the arcade!

Family was coming through town, we brought them here to show them the indoor divers. They were so impressed! What a huge dinner and the sopapillas are OMG outstanding! The shows were cute, as always, the kids got to do The Limbo with some of the actors. What a night!

I have loved Casa Bonita since I was a child and now I get to share with my children. Puppet show every 30 minutes, indoor waterfall, divers, magician, gun fight, a haunted cave and the most interesting atmosphere you'll probably ever eat it. Service was real good and food a little pricey but you get so much entertainment with it it's worth the price!

Wished i could give a negative star... your business completely ruined my families visit... where to start? Absolutely horrible food!! Rude employees... dirty facility... points to one thing... a management and ownership that absolutely does not care about its customers. Will never return.... so sad... was once an amazing place..

We had a blast!!!! Def a new favorite. The food is basic but unlimited so super filling. The shows were fun and the entertainment through out is like no other. I was the coolest mom ever bringing my kids. Must go in Colorado.

If I could rate this 0 stars I would. Menu is way overpriced for the quality of food. No substitutions on your order. Your options are very limited food wise. Chips were very stale and the entrees were not any better. The divers are nothing special. I ve seen better shows for free at the fair. One of our friends wasn t hungry but wasn t allowed in unless she ordered a full meal which cost roughly $18 not including tip. Servers weren t polite at all and ignored the flag indicating we would like some service. Novelty of saying we came wasn t worth the price of the food. South Park had us pretty excited after seeing the place featured in an episode. Basically don t waste your money here. Go to Taco Bell or somewhere authentic where the food is fresh. We were genuinely pissed that s where we decided to eat.

The worst food I've ever had. It was impressive how bad. Get real drunk before you go and eat first and maybe it will be worth it. If they made the food good, I would take everyone there

I have been going since 1978 and it is my childhood favorite place to visit. The only problem is that nothing has changed since 1978! The food is left over from the 70's....but would still go back every year!

I have come here over 40 years. Every couple years someone will have a birthday party at the place or out of town guests will want to see the restaurant. It is really all about the atmosphere. The food is not that good. It is bland and unchanging and always gives me stomach problems. The chili rellenos are decent. the sopapillas are their best food item. My kids like the chicken enchiladas, but I am not a fan. The beef and cheese enchilada sauce tastes strange. I wish you could just pay for admission instead of buying food. The atmosphere is good, there are shows and tons of activities. There is lots of room events and big parties. I gave it 4 stars because the atmosphere and even though the food is not good, most of it is not horrible.

Biggest waste of a potentially good thing. Cultural appropriation at its finest. Mexican food at its worst. I'm and out in five minutes after one bite from my "enchiladas". Also was completely thrown off after seeing a grown man in a gorilla suit being chased by kids and a "zookeeper". It's 2019. Update appropriately.

Bad service, the bad employees are rude and unhelpful, disgusting food, and the place is extremely dirty. The shows are corny, and the people aren't nice. They blatantly robbed me with their rip-off pricing. I was frustrated. This place needs closed.

A great place for out of towners,food is fair,but getting better

4 stars instead of 3 because of the nostalgia and the great kitschiness. You don't go for the food but for the experience.

Worst. Food. EVER. Games were fun, but it was extremely hot inside of the game rooms. The diver was alright, but we missed most of the dives because the waiter sat us in the way back of the whole place (there were plenty of seats close to the diver). I wouldn't go again, even if I were paid to. Food made most of my family members sick. DONT GO. If you decide you must go for some strange reason, get the taco salad. Everything else smells and tastes DISGUSTING.

Iconic place from my childhood! Fun to take my kids there. It s more of an experience than restaurant. Food is okay, but super fun atmosphere!

Food was terrible. Taco Bell has better mex food. And I hate Taco Bell. Cliff diving and atmosphere were really cool. But the food is disgusting. I asked for salsa so I could choke down the bad beans and rice, and the salsa actually made it taste worse. Everything was gross. Would not go again based solely on the terrible food.
