Pros...

Cons...
- we booked Carter House Inns bc we thought we would save money over our other option as a two course breakfast was listed on the description but we soon realized, since the restaurant is closed, the "breakfast" consisted of what tasted like a sugary Costco blueberry muffin, some fresh fruit and nuts with a glass of orange juice. Unfortunately I have an allergy to oranges and a gluten intolerance. We notified staff in which they told us they would contact the manager bc someone else had inquired about GF breakfast alternatives... the next morning. we still received the costco muffin :/ (suggestion: It would be great to source gluten free and protein options from the local bakeries in Humboldt County)
- looking back, we would have booked our other option and saved 100$ since the breakfast was not as described or pictured.

It was ok. For the amount of money spent really wasn't worth it. Nothing really special about the room. Except for jacuzzi tub. Breakfast a scone half a boiled egg a cup of yogurt and berries. I guess i was expecting more.

My wife and I stayed in the Bell House Cottage with the jetted tub for our anniversary. We had a fantastic time and enjoyed the house and room very much. The room even had a fireplace. Rose was extremely helpful and gave a us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine for our anniversary which was very nice. I would absolutely recommend to anyone trying to find a nice quiet weekend with wonderful service.

Recently stayed at the hotel. Room was nice, most staff was pleasant. I did notice an older lady constantly talking down to other staff. Made our visit not enjoyable. Set a unwelcoming vidbe. This older lady did not present herself in a professional manner and needs to remember that their guests will appreciate it when staff are smiling and happy to be there....that makes a more inviting establishment

What an amazing place to stay! My husband and I were traveling from Florida to California and found this sweet gem! Not only was the room absolutely amazing, but the staff was exceptional! Especially Shasta! She was such a breath of fresh air and welcomed us every morning with a phenomenal breakfast, And her warm smile! We were definitely return and stay here again on our way through!

Enjoyed my stay! Miss the restaurant though! Lyssete & Rose were amazing!!!! Made my stay so enjoyable with there hospitality. I will return without a doubt.

Very large and comfortable space with modern touches. We had a corner suite and it had a cozy fire place.

Our stay was beyond excellent, beautiful cottage , right in the historic district, everything was within walking distance for food n such. The staff was not only professional and courteous, but warm and friendly like family. And lastly the rooms were impeccable clean by Elsy:) thank-you so much for making our stay in Eureka so great. We'll be back soon :)

I've always had great experiences here from very friendly staff to spacious rooms and great food. Highly recommend for anyone looking for more upscale accommodations.
