As part of the Duval County Public Schools system, we are proud to be part of the 20th largest school district in the nation and the sixth largest school district in Florida.

Our Curriculum
We offer a comprehensive curriculum that is designed to meet the needs of all learners. Our curriculum is aligned with state standards and includes core subjects such as English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies as well as special classes like Art, Music & Physical Education.
Our teachers use various teaching strategies such as project-based learning (PBL), differentiated instruction (DI) & technology integration which help our students learn better by engaging them actively during class hours.
We also provide additional support for students who need extra help through our intervention programs like Response To Intervention (RTI) & Multi-Tiered System Of Supports (MTSS).
Our Facilities
Carter G. Woodson Elementary boasts modern facilities that are conducive for learning. We have spacious classrooms equipped with modern technology such as interactive whiteboards & projectors which make lessons more interactive & engaging for our students.
In addition to classrooms, we have other facilities like a library/media center stocked with books on various topics including fiction/non-fiction books; computer labs equipped with high-speed internet access; science labs where experiments can be conducted safely under supervision; art rooms where creativity flourishes among young minds; music rooms where children learn how to play musical instruments or sing songs together etc.
