Unlike some engineering firms who require a hefty retainer before even ascertaining a homeowner's issues - in this case, water infiltration - John graciously spent some time on the phone with me to understand the problem, Google the property, and determine that my remediation needs could likely be addressed by some straightforward procedures, including some I had already considered. He could have easily suggested a site visit and other fee-based services, but he is clearly of higher principles. I want to also emphasize that John's quick assessment and articulation of the matter and likely solution reflect an experienced and competent engineering mind and a love for problem-solving. Carroll Engineering saved out basement and yard!!! Every time it rained, our yard would be flooded and our kids couldn't go out an play on it for days at a time. The water was so bad that in would also flood our once finished basement to the point it wasn't finished anymore. Thank goodness for John and his team. Now my kids are enjoying their new trampoline and playing outside! Our basement is bone dry too! Also the team is kind and courteous. They are prompt and on top of things.
