So my mother was recently admitted to this God for...

So my mother was recently admitted to this God forsaken facility for 5 days total. She was first seen at a stand alone ER, and transported to CMC-Union. They didn't change the IV tape that was holding down her catheter, which has days old, dried blood all over it. Her IV was bleeding, and when I asked the nurse to check it twice, she sighed really loud and was rude. The nurses aide who came to check vitals throughout the night freaked my mom out when her O2 level was 88%, without oxygen, by asking if she was breathing okay, which caused my mom to freak out and her heart rate jumped up. They left my mother laying on bloody bed sheets for days, until I came up there and started raising hell to have them changed, I ended up doing it myself. They didn't give my mom a bath, not even a sponge bath, even when her Doctor said it was okay, and my mom begged for a sponge bath, nothing until her last night there and then I had to call the nurse two times to get them to bring soap and wash clothes. This hospital needs to step up and take pride in their work. They need new nurses who know what they are doing and aren't just playing on facebook, when a patient or patients loved one walks by. This is uncalled for, and I will be reporting the nurse, and her aide to the board of directors. DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE!! They deserve NO STARS

My husband came to emergency room with numbness in arm and extreme dizziness. Wait was ridiculously long. Finally saw doctor who was concerned he had had a TMI. Left room after promising to come back and didn't come back for an hour. Obviously, they are very short staffed. They finally admitted him and put him in the "Clinical Discharge Unit" . Here, you share a bathroom with another room. All night, he was kept awake listening to someone else taking care of their bodily functions in the bathroom. Who wants this when they don't feel well? Next day, he had to wait 6 hrs for the result of a test, then another 2 after telling him he was to be discharged. Nurse spike broken English that he could, hardly understand. Food was abominable.
Horrible experience. Will not go back unless we are dying.

We brought my son in to be looked at and observation for something he ingested. We we brought in quickly and the doctors and nurses were excellent. The nurse checked my son's blood pressure and oxygen levels. A doctor came in and said he looks well. Let's give him 30 minutes. 30 minutes went by and they said we were okay to go home.

A week later I received a 1700 dollar bill for the nurse to check my son's blood pressure and oxygen levels.

I reached out via email to the billing department not answer my calls to explain not only do I have excellent insurance and we are at our max out of pocket and deductable since March, but to think that warranted a 1700 dollar bill was robbery at best. I checked my insurance and the hospital never ran the bill.

No one ever answered my email but I then received a 2500 dollar bill for the same exact service with no explanation and still no insurance ran. I called again and finally got through to someone who to my nicest way seemed like they were medicated. I asked why nothing was ran through insurance which there was no answer for and asked why I was sent 2 different bills for a blood pressure and oxygen test totalling over 3000 dollars.

No answer.

I gave them my insurance information and also informed my insurance company of possible fraud billing.

UPDATE: Sent me another bill for 645.00 saying it's past due after giving my insurance information 2 times after the visit.

Worthless hospital.

One Star only for the nurses being the only decent...

One Star only for the nurses being the only decent employees in the delivery center. I warn mothers to deliver somewhere else, I was left with an extremely traumatic birthing experience. Dr. Benion Horton dismissed everything, I would not recommend him for diagnostic issues or to be taken serious. Dr. Barry Sorbel made calls about my delivery without even coming into the room I was in once during his entire shift. It is a shame this facility gets away with how they treat people.
