Keep you busy, but "HOME EVERY WEEKEND" does not mean weekends off. it means get home on Saturday and leave around midnight on Monday morning. Brought their cab back to their Cressman Facility in Allentown, the took my whole last paycheck and pet deposit $1200 in all for recovery fee. Scumbags and liars.

These guys hire unprofessional steering wheel holders.

One of their lease drivers, hauling trailer 30329 was merging onto the highway this afternoon. I move over to the middle lane to give the guy room. This "driver" then proceeds to pass me on the right, going 1/2 mph faster than me.

Thanks to this guy, I will never, ever give way to a Carlisle carrier driver.

Average company. You come across good ppl that work there and bad ppl that work there. There is no middle line. If you have a family be prepared to put work first. They say home every weekend but it s more or less your 34 hr reset. Saturday morning is their opinion of home weekends but they expect you 5-8 hours away for a Monday 6am appointment. Always remember, they go home everyday. No load refusal allowed. Regardless of how much Money and time you will lose. Remember it s a business even though they print family on their trailers. Pay is about average. Schneider and Cowan OTR scale basically(54-55 cpm). Definitely better than Western Express and Swift. Local pay has no overtime so 55 hrs of straight pay at $19 per hr to start. If not a little better if you are willing to put in more time than you should to make a living in the trucking business honestly. Local work is a lot of waiting to be loaded and unloaded. Be sure to beef up on unlimited data. OTR detention pay stinks. $15 per hr after you wait the first 2 hrs. I ve spent 10 hr breaks on numerous occasions. It happens often. They tell you direct loads(dsd) pay more which it does. But you rarely get them. Guaranteed to receive a paycheck if you notify them on the Qualcomm weekly. If not you might miss out on a weeks pay. Very frustrating to work all week and notice you didn t get paid. They are very nice to help you out at the payroll department. The dispatchers have been there for ever so they expect you to wake up after your 10 hr beak, some times even your 8 hr, and deliver the load. It s in your best interest to do so to capitalize on the available freight. Once again it s a business so sleep is optional when they prepare a profitable load. No matter what type of money you intended to make at Carlise Carriers for that week be prepared to be thrown a wrench and have your expectation minimized. Average take home was $1000-$1300. I believe I made about five or six weeks out the year of $1300+ but not by much. Too much freight but not enough drivers is the story they sell. But if you needed a good week there was never enough freight. Well any that paid well enough. Reasonable goal was 400-500 miles per day. But expect 525 miles today and 224 miles tomorrow. Lots of money left on the table with C&S loads. Lancaster, NY and almost every other C&S loads. As long as you follow the load and avoid incidents the dispatchers leave you alone. They are never on your back. Well once you get away from orientation Julie. Buffalo to MD to Maine was my main routes. Virginia and Ohio plus some other straggler states along the way may have appeared. But I stayed mostly in the above triangle. Recommendations: All in all this is a good starter company after you received your experience through Western Express, Warner, Swift, ect. No getting rich here. No family time here. This company will be a better option than other OTR Like Cowan, Schneider, and others if you do go that route. Local job pay isn t good but the job isn t hard at all. And for the most part they ll find something for you to do to get paid. You ll learn the real ins and outs of what trucking in the northeast is like at Carlise Carriers.

One of the better companies I've worked for I ran local out of their Moosic P.A. yard. They really are some of the nicest people you will come across in this business my dispatcher Justine was awesome always on point two steps ahead kept me running. Pay could have been better all straight time, equipment was older but they kept it well maintained. They won't ride your back as long as your ontime and doing your job. I would recommend.

Driver of a truck began changing lanes without loo...

Driver of a truck began changing lanes without looking, and I happen to be next to him. I was forced to take evasive action and was nearly involved in a horrible accident. I honked my horn to get the guy to realize someone was next to him, and only then did he stop moving over. I was maybe an inch from the curb at the last moment trying to avoid the tractor trailer. The driver then honked at me, flicked me off, and was saying stuff me from the cab of his truck. I did not like the fact that the driver made a mistake that was potentially life ending and or damaging and then was upset with and aggressive towards me... I called carrier corp and was initially greeted by a recruiter who was very nice and helped me out. I received a call from the safety director that day, and called her back the next day. The safety director was alright at first, but then began taking an attitude with me as the call progressed. Her irritation was obvious, despite the fact I was not saying anything to her that should irritate a professional taking a safety case seriously. Basically, between the malicious driver who almost killed me yet saw me as the problem, and the somewhat rude tone of the safety director I feel compelled to rate this company with a 1 star. I do not recommend any potential patron from utilizing the services of this company.

I was with this company for four weeks and I must say they are GREAT! Do to issues that came about I had to resign. Ms Julie, Doug Josh, Safety, Payroll, and everyone else went above and beyond. Even those not mentioned are here to help you succeed. Thanks guys maybe another day and time this was not our season. Greg, I hope I said his name right is a great instructor during orientation. Driver of truck 30729 on the morning of 5/10/19 put several driver s lives at risk speeding up behind my car in the left lane and laying down the horn. I was following the speed of traffic and keeping a safe distance from the car in front of me. 30729 tailgated me for several hundred feet. Fortunately we passed a police car, and the driver was quick to give me some distance then.

For those that are not aware, the Saftey instructor (Greg) is a real "You know what"! He failed me for not being able to downshift from 10th gear to 1st gear within less than 500 feet! Since when do you have to downshift with a empty trailer from 10th to 1st in less than 500 feet? When he "TRIED" showing me in the yard he grinded the hell out of the gears and he's a Saftey trainer? I did everything else correct and he still failed me. When all the people for orientation gathered around there was this one Female who was gay, "which I don't have a problem with because my sister is gay" we was told that Greg the Saftey trainer passed her and told her that "Gay's have to stick together so you passed"! What kind of crap is that? Another guy told us that he passed and Greg said he'll give him a break after running an intersection! Overall the people in the company "SEEM" cool but they all know eachother and that's that! If your not good with one, your not good with none of them so if you go to Carlile be prepared to face favoritism at its best!

I work here, this is a wonderful company to work for. I couldn't ask for anything else. I've had to have days off for personal reasons, & they gave me the time off. I love working for Carlisle trucking, the staff are friendly. There is only a 3 day orientation that's painless so if you're looking for a regional truck driving job then this is the place.

I ve had my class A for one year. I ve driven for one company before but left to find something more suited to my life schedule and had one false start before coming to Carlisle. I consider it one of the best decisions I ve made. The recruiting was open and 100% honest about everything, the training was realistic and enjoyable with a fantastic trainer. I may still be new but every experience has been more positive than the previous here. My dispatcher is professional, respectful and realistic in every aspect, safety is serious but not unrealistic and great communication of expectations as well as where I stand. It sounds hokey when people say this but I can finally say I feel like part of a family where I work and am valued as a person/employee instead of a replaceable number.

My experience is to ensure that after a snowstorm your truck(s) have the top of truck cleaned off before they barrel down the highway. One foot of snow on truck hit the overpass and fell back on my car. Dangerous!
