Feels very Detroit. The staff was very helpful and present without hovering. Everyone was able to answer questions about the products and provide insight into why things are priced the way they are. Definitely worth the trip.

Was hoping they would have some of the WIP clothing line, which they didn't when I visited. Other than that, it's a little small, but good for this type of clothing.

Amazing store, Pam went above and beyond to get us what we needed.

I was running late after work, called and let them know I was running late because they were closing. They stayed and opened the door when I got there and allowed me to buy my work pants after closing. Very generous and helpful and polite. Good shopping experience even tho everything is way over priced! Definitely my favorite Carhartt store. They got all the hottest gear out right now.

I purchased a pair of work boots over the phone and the transaction went very smoothly. I informed the lady that I was at work and she allowed my wife to pick up the boots that day. Thank you.

A must visit to the Carhart Retail Store in the Midtown Detroit . Great to see the store busy with customers. The staff was very friendly, and helpful. Quality products. I purchased gifts for the holiday, and could not resist to pick up one of the softest T shirt for myself! Bonus, free secured parking. You wont be disappointed.

Disappointment and Age Discrimination.

Carhartt makes outstanding and durable work cloths. I'm nearly a senior citizen and I've wanted to visit the flagship store on Cass Avenue, Detroit for awhile now. I went around 6:00-6:30 PM tonight, Saturday. Its on the Wayne State Campus downtown and I had to drive by several times to wait for a parking space to open. In the store, there were many college age employees. However, they just ignored me. They either talked among themselves or talked with other customers their age... Not about the products but about themselves. I spent 30 min hunting through the disorganized shelves. I took photos of what I think I might look at online. Several young couples came in and the employees immediately conversed with them. Finally, I stood in line to buy clothes but, people kept cutting in front of me so I just left. I was invisible.

If I were young, I might have gotten some assistance. Considering it was a one 2 hours of total drive time, the entire experience was a depressing disappointment and waste of time.

Super cool store full of all the cool stuff that other retailers don't have. I called all around Detroit looking for their beanies before I knew a company store was local and when I got there, there was a huge rack full of them in every color. Everything was very clean and they offer their own, free of charge, parking garage for customers. Will be back again for sure!

First of all let me say that I love Carhartt clothing line but I just waited about an hour outside the store to get in and all the prices seem to be overpriced the same clothes that they sell at their store seems to be a little cheaper at Walmart for the same items how is that? I think they need to come down off their prices stop being so greedy the people of Detroit want to support you but we can't afford your clothing so help us help you and drop some of those prices or at least have a decent sale for the people of Detroit so we can better promote your clothing line.

The first time I have been here, that being said, It's Great!!
Bought a $100+ coat for $60 and a heavy duty T-shirt for $11.
Best construction winter gear ever.
Also 2 pairs of the fleece lined duck pants.
This is well worth the drive here.

Very disappointed for a corporate store. Don't waste your time unless you're a size small, medium or large. I'm a bigger guy and no big sizes in stock. I was told to buy them online. No kidding so much for shopping at the brick and mortar store. Very Disappointed.

Price for performance, in my experience, Carhartt is unmatched. I had a Carhartt hoodie back in 2011 that was good and durable for work, and when life took a bad turn, I sound up homeless for a few winter months in Boston. The hoodie kept me warm and safe, and now that I'm in a much better place, they're still my go-to for any time I need something tough and warm.

The guys in the shop were cool and down to earth. The clothes are the best quality you can buy.

If the hardware store is the men's toy store, then Carhartt is the men's fashion runway. I bought one of the winterized jackets, which turned out to be the lightest and warmest coat I've ever owned, even when wet. It was so warm, it was almost confiscated by my wife until I took her in to get her own. My fashionista daughter gladly ordered one of her own. Awesome place.

Great experience. Good price. Lots of helpful staff. Great selection and clean store. I've shopped here before but it was above my expectations today.

Did not plan on buying any pants for me.
Saw the ones for women . The flannel shirt with a hoodie for women ...I couldn't justify. $$$ is tight. But Ty r "SWEET"

The Carhartt staff are very pleasant. The store should be larger with more items.

This is the store that always should have been! This store is slick and dapper, it's not only workingmen's clothes anymore. The staff knowledgeable and uber friendly. Not only will they help you find what you want, they will track down sales and order online with delivery to your house if something isn't in stock. The feel of the store emotes the powerful turnaround that exudes every aspect of downtown Detroit. Since more than half of the workers refurbishing the beautiful old buildings and shiny new ones are wearing Carhartt already, it all just makes sense!

The sales people are very friendly! I walked in sporting a new Detroit baseball cap, and one of the sales people, after seeing my hat, pointed out their new Detroit shirt to go with it. Kudos to their great sales tactics! I love the shirt, I love the store, and I love the great mural overlooking the freeway.

I value the quality of this product line in my IT work. I crawl on floors underneath desks and cabinets and such and I can always depend on their products. I wish the store had a little bigger children/youth selection. I find the private parking ramp a big bonus.

Jay was the best cashier. Told us about a discount that saved us money. Way to go!

I have taken two people here to get work clothes. This is a beautiful place, a shrine to the company that made it, and does its job well. On the other hand, it's fairly pricey - one remarked it's more expensive than the same items he gets in Alaska. So I've taken two Carhartt fans here and they loved it, but also didn't buy anything.

I worked over 40 years outdoors for a public utility, my grand dad had told me I would need clothing that could handle the wear and tear along with the Michigan weather. Carhartt was the brand he trusted back in his day and would be the same for me....today in retirement I am very happy I listened to him and I'm still proud to wear clothing that was founded originally in southeast Michigan..may God bless and keep you the owners and workers of a great American company named Carhartt
