Not that anyone had a choice when this provider was selected. But I too received a collection notice but NEVER A BILL from the provider! Now we have interest and credit issues, and am still trying to get an itemized bill to turn into insurance. You can call their customer service but you will sit on hold for over 20 minutes and wait over 3 days for a call back. I'm still waiting. Not the providers fault, but the administrations! I have never had such trouble trying to pay a bill. I'm so frustrated and it seems the consumer (Patient) is at their mercy, and that seems very unfair. UPDATE - Still fighting with collection agency because my insurance says that Carepoint has double billed and the Dr. has indeed been paid. Time to call an attorney I guess.

Absolute worst care I have ever received! Three Carepoint physicians misdiagnosed a severe case of shingles causing me an acute kidney injury as well as a partially dissected artery. Despite PSL agreeing not to charge me for their malpractice, Carepoint P C sent me to collections for their substandard treatment. I would not trust a Carepoint physician again as they are not only incompetent, they are greedy!

These people are scam artists. File a complaint with the State's Attorney General immediately! Keep all records they send and record all phone calls., because they lie. They purposefully bill the incorrect insurance company, then, after the "error" has been fixed, and paid in full, they don't fix the original record. They refuse to give a line item invoice, claiming they never got our address, phone number, or any other information; but still claim we owe. The hospital and insurance company have both provided detailed documentation that the bill was paid in full.

I was in the hospital for a week at Swedish, the day I was admitted was on 7/29. I paid all my hospital bills through a system on United health cares website that allows you to pay bills through them- one bill $75, the other bill $3.46 both were paid in full. I received a letter from a collection agency saying I owed $90 for DOS 7/29. I spoke with the credit agency today and sent them my proof of payment for dos 7/29 and even a summary of my services and statements from 7/29 which shows only the 2 bills listed above for this company. I have left 2 voice mails today for this company and if I don t hear back by Friday, reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. This is poor, unethical billing practice.

Received a letter from collections stating I didn't pay a bill of $1091.00. Never received a bill, nor did my insurance co. Yet every other bill from my emergency visit went through blue cross. Called the collection agency with blue cross insurance co on the line...said they sent bill to me but no insurance on file. NEVER received this bill. Hoping blue cross helps me out. How does carepoint get away with this BS???

Was promised a diagnosis for a foot infection but they ran pointless test to charge the insurance and in turn, the patient. They had no idea what was going and I had to go to a different hospital. Worst doctors. I will never go back to Swedish medical and this emergency service. If you want pointless test done that have nothing to do with your problem, this is the place to go.
