The staff is great and very helpful. Very clean place as well.

The way they took over Cardio Express was grimly but I will say that thier receptionist was A1 knowledgeable and honest

"Judgement free zone", except they discriminate against anyone getting a good workout with their lunk alarm.

Place is clean and nice people BUT, When signing for membership was told we could cancel anytime . Didnt like the maint. Fee they charge in jan. So we were told we could leave in dec. before the fees kicked in. Well, we tryed to cancel 14 days after we joined and was told we were in a 1 year contract. This brought my rating down 3 stars for dishonest sales tactics.

Always a great experience. I highly recommend this classy establishment.

Dirty bathrooms, missing shower heads, there isn't even toilet paper in the stall. This is a personal shower head a customer brought in.

I don t know whether it s the local way of doing things or good management but everyone who works here is very friendly. It s not the closest one to home for me but I love stopping by when I m headed up Route 2.

Physically the gym is fine, although its near a run down part of east Hartford with projects right on the other side of the strip mall in which it's located. All that being said, it gets the job done. But when you look deeper into your contract, cancellation policy, etc. You'll see that is has "crooked" written all over it.
When signing up, I was sold a bill of goods that upon moving out of the area of Cardio Expresses coverage (something that I must do for work), that the cancellation process was so simple and easy. Little did I know that a maze of outsourced customer service call centers, a GM of the gym that takes weeks to get back to you and a corporate office who acts like they have zero control of their own locations, would await me.
I'm sure all of these previous reviewers are loving the gym. But what waits for them if they ever have to leave the area and cancel their membership, is a world of b.s.

Simply put, this is the worst run business that I have encountered in a very long time.

24 hours and 2 locations near by, there is no excuse but to be in shape

I like this gym, better than other i been, sauna would be a great deal.UPDATE:It used to be Cardio Xpress, and never had a problem, until Planet Fitness bought this location, i forgot my card one night and ended up with 2 memberships when i thought the guy was just gonna give me another card, he said it was fine but I don't was skeptical so drove back home to get my membership card and turned out to be not thr same account he gave me as replacement card i stead was a second membership, next morning i came to delete the new membership because i wanted to keep my 3 year old membership without commitment since i was a member from that location the month of opening (cardio Xpress) they ended up deleting my 3 year old account, even tho i double checked with them to delete my new account, so next day i found out they lied to me so i wanted to cancel subscription, they asked me to paid 50 dollar fee since i was under contract because they deleted my 3 year old no commitment account, i cancelled my membership for good, Club Fitness is a now my gym.

Manager is very rude ! Charged me a late fee even though I was not late

I've been going to Cardio Express in Manchester for over 5 years. This new location is upgraded but the new staff of this location can be very rude. This is the second time I've had an issue. Andy one of the associates was extremely rude and condescending. Even when the situation was resolved , he continued to say "I'm just doing my job " as if he hadn't mentioned that 3 times. This location alone makes me consider canceling my membership. Thank you Andy for ruining my Cardio Express experience!

Do not sign up with this Gym ,they are bandits . They are all about the fees and trying ways to get an extra buck from their members. Hopefully someone files a class action lawsuit against you .

I love how there are TV's on the machines however, I feel like the type of machines in Newington are better. This is a smaller gym (Previous Cardio location). Staff really friendly but there need to be channel list for the TVs. I found myself scrolling thru multiple channels trying to find what I would like to watch.

Staff is very friendly. Facility is clean and well maintained.

Very customer friendly. And if you have Dr. Orders or restrictions they can find a work out that is acceptable

When do you plan to reopen. It was to reopen weeks ago. You need to update your website with information.

Good customer service, clean facility, good scheduling for classes at all times of day and weeks.

The first time I placed 5 stars was before they finished fixing their building. My reasoning, location and size of the building.

After two to three months working out at this building the 5 stars are staying! Just like the P.F Bloomfield Location beautiful in every way! Everything is modern, machines are more for cardio and muscle toning rather then building muscle. If you KNOW how to workout you can make it work if not, they have trainers(lol).

Love the building, love the workers at this building, I love what they offer at this P.F. building. By far, my favorite ones I like too go to, here in East Hartford and Copaco(Hartford/Bloomfield). Two memberships, two prices, two VERY inexpensive ways to stay part of the P.F Team.

They don't have aerobics for all day...only as the schedule...but on weekends and for $10 subscription don't..only for subscribers for $20

This gym is the best ever here's why it's not just the cleanest and the state of the art equipment but it's the staff take it from me I've been to other gyms such as LA fitness and golds gym the main reason is the staff they will smile and say hello when you come in sometimes by name and smile and say goodbye when you leave and that's not the best part they are warm and friendly and will help and support you in every way they can.Heres my success story there I was afraid to join the gym being in my fifties and I was 320 lbs at 5 foot 6 inches tall I was just big and ashamed of myself like alot of you out there not only that I had type 2 diabetes and asthma I got the courage and joined.All the staff welcomed me with open arms and helped me in everyway they told me to take spin class again that it would help me I was afraid but they convinced me to do it lenny the instructor is fantastic and will help you and complement you makes you feel good about yourself my results are this I lost 130 pounds I went from a 52 inch waist to a 34 inch waist no more diabetes or asthma it wasn't just the hard work or the gym it was the staff and the people working out there just positive and caring and warm always complementing you making you feel good made me want to try harder thanks cardio express your the best

When I signed up for a membership, I asked if masks needed to be worn while working out. I was told, that I did not need to wear a mask while working out, only while entering, exiting, and walking around the gym- I signed up. I was informed the policy was changed August 1st and that now we need to wear a mask at all times, including while working out. It is physically impossible for me to wear a mask while I work out. Therefore, I ve asked to cancel my membership and I have been told that I need to pay a cancellation fee AND the annual fee will still be withdrawn in September. I have a serious issue with this, I am not cancelling because I don t care to go to the gym anymore, I am cancelling due to a policy change which makes it impossible for me to use the facility anymore.

Customer service is terrible, there is no one that can be reached directly to address this.

The PF in East Hartford keeps a cleaning stuff on deck. One of the cleaner PF I will have to say.

What a fantastic location. Updated equipment, friendly staff, a much better experience than the Manchester Location by far.

One of the largest Cardio Express gym located in CT. Not too crowded, diverse public, many free classes and great staff.

It is large and has a variety of machines although it is missing some not bad

The staff is super friendly! I honestly love it here I have never had a problem! Nobody judges you either when they see you struggle a little bit. I love that they don t force you to wear a mask while working out during the reopening since the pandemic because with my chronic asthma and anxiety I just wouldn t be able to do it. One thing I do wish is that you could use the massage chairs and tanning bed with the normal membership instead of only with the black card.

The employees need to take a customer service class. I've never seen such rude employees before. They do nothing first off, use their phones, and clean lazily. They hound members trying to force them to give them their credit card info. The meanest workers I have ever come across. Absolutely disgusting. Don't even greet you.

This gym is ways cleaned and the staff is very very pleasant

Terrible customer service. As an original member of the cardio express at this location I have seen the quality of this gym go completely downhill since planet fitness acquired it. I tried to cancel my membership in person in December with mail from my new address. I was told it would be taken care of. Now we are into March and I am still being charged for this membership and am now told "they have no documentation" of my cancelation. The employees are really a joke here.

The staff get four stars but the general manager is extremely condescending at Planet fitness really need to change the general manager David he is extremely rude to the gym members and the staff. He charges late fee even when it is not needed.

The employees are nice and the other member are friendly. As far as the gym. It is pretty good.

Cardio Express in East Hartford is truly wonderful. From the warm smiles and the managment staff you feel like you are a valued guest rather than just a number. The lay out is much more condusive to feeling unjudged and the free weight room is always clean. I personally have referred people to this gym and look forward to using this location as my home base.

Chris really helped me with choosing the right plan and making me feel comfortable in the gym for the first time. He was a joy to talk to

Good place to go at night there are almost not many people

Nice gym to go, nice and spacious. Love taking the spin classes there. Kind of annoying though when some people sit on machines to not use them. Staff is nice and friendly.

Ok gym. I had my membership for a year and only went once! Money down the drain lol. Staff is super nice & helpful. Very up to date equipment and clean!

Packed after work. Unfortunately when I switched credit cards instead of switching the acct they deactivated my membership which shows the employee wasnt paying attention to what she was doing. So I havent been back since.

I ve been to three different planet fitness and the East Hartford one is by far my favorite. It s clean, friendly, and I feel like it has a lot more space compared to the other ones. The trainer Denise is super sweet and she s more than willing to spend time with you and train/teach you! Highly recommend this gym :)

Clean place. It could use a little more weight lifting equipment. The locker room is a little comical, so don't expect to take a lot of showers in there.

This was a good gym. I went there the other day to sign up and the staff was friendly and supportive. They were genuinely interested in my fitness goals. Membership is a bit expensive though. There is a generally clean environment and good equipment. I'm not sure why they call it cardio express though the name does not make much sense to me.

I'm a long time member of PF. Most facilities always go above and beyond when there cleanliness. Especially in a time now. But I come into this gym about 9am and the men's bathrooms are a mess. Unacceptable.
