Packed during weekends, but lots of fun and reasonable prices for their drinks

Hard to get a drink at times but that's with the influx of people.

Went there when I was younger around Christmas and it was very nice. I would go back on a date for sure.

Food is good. Bartenders are friendly. Drinks are good.

Terrible - kept us waiting for food for an hour while serving a large party. Bland, overcooked food, depressing atmosphere.

Like it or not, Loomis is the place to BE come rain or shine or Christmas holiday

Disappointed with the food and price. Pre-packaged items (lobster raveoli). Obviously just microwaved and sauce added. The standard has dropped. Lunch buffet is decent, but dinner is a let down.

Didnt have food for young children except Apple sauce and it was loaded with sugar. But, adult is perfect! Amazing food!

Decent selection of drinks and a fair price. Bathrooms are the nicest for a bar in Clarion.

Didn't even know this place was open but I'm glad I discovered it. Staff was friendly. Food was good. Place was quiet on a Thursday evening. The bar is large and there's plenty of room. I imagine its popular with the college kids.

Things have changed for the worst over the past few years. The inside facility has not been kept well or updated since the restaurants inception. Walls are dirty and the whole facility seems outdated. Severs were pleasant but the food was below average for the price being paid.

I grew up in Clarion and it's not a shock to it's many long time residents that the dining choices here are dismal. I have to say that since the new owners took over Loomis, I have found the food and service to be more than expected. The pizza, fried chicken, and crab and shrimp nachos are just a few of the many delectable offerings. I know that Clarion is a big fan of the "all you can eat" Asian buffets and considers Applebee's to be a "fine dining" experience but as a well traveled and cultured gentleman I strongly encourage you to branch out and enjoy and support local businesses that serve impressive food. If you haven't tried the new Loomis I highly recommend you do!

I believe Captain Loomis to be an awful establishment with even worse employees. I had a woman strike me in the face in the middle of the bar and every so called "security officer" supposedly didn't see it. I find that hard to believe as she was screaming and making a scene. With that being said I would never take me friends nor my family to an establishment who refuses to see a conflict a few day before the areas biggest revenue week just because they might loose a few dollars. In my opinion Captain Loomis is an awful establishment who refuses to recognize conflict when it may cost the business money.

A shell of its former self but a good spot to grab a beer and BS with the staff.

The Captain Loomis is back! Under new management since March 2014, my husband and I went last night and had great service and the food was even better. My husband's filet was cooked to a perfect medium and my grilled shrimp were excellent. We will definitely go back.

Bartender named Dudley keeps me coming back. Absolutely superb drink mixologist/ host.

Went here tonight, but, we were a tad hesitant at first because we were the only people in the restaurant at the time. , Not a great sign, or so we thought,.,.

I decided to order the Quesdila. My husband and I were expecting the worse, but wow, quite impressive, albeit I do like a little spice in my Quesdila and it also could have done with la little less olive oil. Even so the steak was tender and the whole dish quite tasty.

The waiter was great,the place was clean.The only other fault are their over inflated prices with regard to drinks and food items on the menu. (So everything really). Quite expensive given this type of setting or interior/ambience.

I do feel if they brought down those prices or changed the decor they would be very successful and could easily charge such prices.

Kudos points to them as I am particularly hard person to please when it comes to the quality of food and service.

Pizza is awesome as well as the bar girls hospitality.

I visited the Loomis during Autumn Leaf Festival this year. Outright, it was the worst experience of my life. I graduated from Clarion 20 years ago and often visited this restaurant, but I can't ever remember having such bad service, or food. My wife and I ordered are food at 5pm, it was a long wait in line since it was alf. once we were seated at 5pm, our waitress brought our menu to us and we had a chance to look over the menu. We waited until 7:30pm for the waitress to come back and take our order????? Really? 2 and a half hour later. The only reason we stayed was that we had good conversation and was setting next to a window facing the street. We placed our order and got our food at 9pm, got our check at 10pm left around 10pm, Totally rediculous, don't care if it was alf, there is no reason for patrons having to wait 5 hours for dinner, shame shame shame

Terrible service. Had to wait 15 minutes to get a menu and drink orders. A party of 7 and only 2 of us got drinks because we ordered from the bar. Walked out after 45 minutes of waiting for the rest of our party to get their drinks. Drank my wine though which is why I'm giving 1 star. Came to Clarion River Brewing Company where service, food and drinks are excellent!

The captain Loomis bar in Clarion is descent. The staff there is cool and easy going the mixed drinks are pretty good and the prices are amazing. They have great specials during the week, like Tuesdays are their $1 sliced pizza days and $2 yangling beer. Loomis's pizza is AMAZING I looooove their pizza it reminds me of NYC pizza and that's rare and hard to come by in Pennsylvania. They have pool tables too and on Tuesdays they pay for your first two rounds of pool so you play for free for two rounds. Loomis is very accommodating and a very chilled place to enjoy whether you're by yourself or with friends.

If you're able to get in the door fast enough without the door bloodying your heel from it slamming into it, maybe just one of the bartenders might look your way from serving one of the 21 year olds here to take your order.

I have started going to this place anytime I have friends visiting from out of town especially New Yorkers since it has the best New York style $1 slice in town!

Great Pizza, fantastic service, my "go to" bar and restaurant!

Very poor service, extremely under staffed on both Friday nights.

Great place to play pool, drink and listen some music.

Disappointing. Just put the place out of its misery.
