Service was awful and unfriendly. They ran out of crabs on the second day opening. Unfortunately the food was not good either.

Seafood doesn't taste fresh. Taste like it's bright from Sam's.
Only get the crab if it has crab in it it's delicious

Maybe it was busy when we got there, but service was delayed more than we were used to seeing. Outdoor dining atmosphere by the water added a nice touch, especially in the early evening hours.
Found on Google search when we stayed in Waldorf, MD. Would definitely go back. Would give 3 1/2 stars if I could. Wasn't blown away by food or experience, but still better than average.

Had a great lunch here last weekend. Comfortable deck seating, including overhead fans, flies weren t any problem. My wife and I both order lump crab, and both of us loved it! Service was first rate - prompt, friendly and very helpful...definitely stopping here the next time I m in the area.

Expensive but well worth the money, I have never seen a buffet like this. So much to choose from and for non seafood friends there's food there for that as well. Some of the best seafood I've had. Highly recommended.

My husband I always share the watermans platter. And the beverages are awesome! The service is impeccable

We waited for 10 minutes to get service. Only by calling a wandering waitress over and asking for water did service finally start...seems no one was assigned our table. We ordered the calamari for an app & the shrimp/scallop baskets. The calamari arrived followed in less than 2 mins by our lunch. The calamari was out of a frozen bag, the shrimp & scallops were at best average, fries were soggy & the soda was flat. We spoke to the manager who said thanks & disappeared never to return.
In short, poor to average food, bad service, poor management, & high prices; never a good combo. This was one of the more expensive lunches & the most disappointing meals we have ever had. We will never return nor recommend this "place".

Crab legs and beer, a relaxing evening with great service

We always love to visit Captian Billy's since we live about 1 1/2 hrs away you know it has to be good to drive that far to eat! Prices are decent and the service is good. The view and environment make it GREAT!

I loved this place!!! The service was professional and pleasant - smiles, smiles, and more smiles. A very busy afternoon, and we still got our food quick and hot. Everything was delicious. I want the recipe for the hushpuppies they are soooooooo good.

Captain Billy's is always a treat. We sat out on the deck overlooking the river had an order of muscles as well as hush puppies. Best of all they are dog friendly. Definitely on our must stop list when we cross the bridge.

Pricey, but good. Their seafood is excellent although I wouldn't suggest ordering anything else off the menu.

My family has been going here for years and they just keep getting better! Beautiful down on the water. Staff is friendly and wonderful. Food is delicious. The seafood baskets are the best! Go down on a beautiful day and eat outside! It is cool watching people come in by boat to eat.

It was still early in the season for crabs but still the majority of them were completely empty. I still love there food most of the time.

The crab legs and shrimp were very good , very fresh. Waitress was very nice, and the view on the water was awesome. Couldn't eat it all.

Place is OK. I was expecting more for the drive and location. The hush puppies are EXCELLENT. I got the fried seafood trawler. My mom ordered the lump crab cakes with her shrimp dinner (pictured). Both her shrimp and crab cakes were premium compared to what came with my meal. My mom's crab cakes looked so good I ordered 2 side lump crab cakes to go. What came was HALF of what came with my mom's order.... then i waited for another 20 minutes for still less than half of what came on my mom's plate. They also put cantaloupe with the crab cakes... weird. Also the first place I have ever gotten celery and oranges with chicken wings. Food took a long time, place was not that clean and service was spotty.

The food was ok the crab legs was over cooked and salty. The waitress included her own tip on the bill. Its not listed or posted if you spend over $150 that gratuty will be added. The tip she gave herself was made up it wasnt 15, 18 or 20% not sure how she came up that amount. NEVER GOING THEIR AGAIN

We had the lump crab cake sandwich, we were very disappointed, the crab meat was not fresh.

My family came here and we had to wait 3 hours to get a table but other families that got there after us that were a bit bigger then ours got seated before us. Food was still yummy though.

Awesome Place!!! Great Seafood!! Friendly and Fast Service!!! We drove an hour and eleven minutes and it was worth the drive!!!

Nice place, if you enjoy seafood. Seating both inside and out. Outside seating overlooks the bay, lovely view. Accessible seating for everyone. Parking is limited, unmarked across from the restaurant. All in all, great family restaurant.

Wonderful atmosphere enjoyed the food and great service

No doubt the best place to eat seafood in southern Maryland. Cannot beat The View the servers or the quality of the food. Been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

The server was very pleasant. She has been there for at least 20+ years. I always see her. I normally get the basket. I think it's a value for the money.

The service and food here are just okay. It's a shame they use so much single use plastics and Styrofoam.

I took my mother there for my birthday. There was 4 adults, a teenager, and a 9 month old. They added gratuity automatically. I didnt know babies counted towards the total.

I will not be returning or reccomend this place until they change some things.

Met an old friend here for lunch. The basket of mussels was huge and very tasty. Great view across the river. Nice breeze on the deck when we were there.

If you want a decent amount of or Dungeness Alaskan crab, try Captain John's at Cobb Island. My wife and I have been eating there for the past few years and we love the food, free salad bar for all you can eat, free refills with plastic glasses, not paper. The servers are only good if you pick the right one and they go out of their way to make sure you get what you pay for. Crab legs are not cheap but they are hot out of the steamer and ready to eat. They have an upstairs for more people or groups. A great view of the water and a great place to bring the kids to and your parents. Captain John's is 10 times better unless you can hire someone to take care of Captain Billy's and expand the business. Maybe cheaper to some, I myself would walk away. A/C is over comfortable and the seafood is cold and prepare yourself to wait for your server to bring the bill. My wife was very upset.

Crabs and shrimp were good, but there were flies everywhere. Server was a little snappy at first too.

My first time going there. And wow, the food was AWESOME! I love seafood, so I really enjoyed it. Our server was very nice and polite. If you are a seafood lover and you want really good food, none of that frozen food. I recommend this restaurant. You can not go wrong with Captain Billy's Crab House. I'll be going there again.

Service was excellent and food was great. Restaurant was clean with plenty of atmosphere.

Capt Billy's Crab House is a guaranteed stop on our way to and from Maryland. We know we can count on an outstanding crab cake or soft shell crab sandwich. Miss them by living in North Carolina. Barbeque cannot compare to a crab sandwich.

I love this place. The staff is great and friendly and the crabs are always heavy and big. Drinks could be better but I love that they are pet friendly as well. My husky Sir Bentley loves this place too!

A classic southern Maryland Crab House. And the crabs are, delicious! I only had a date this time, but sometimes I can sit there and eat them all day. It's also a nice experience driving down Popes Creek Road to get there.

They have some of the best sea food that is fresh and you can't beat the price,s love the food and captain Billy's there is no better place to go for good sea food.....

It's an age-old tradition my mom and dad like going there dad has been gone for 18 years and Mom still likes going there for Easter.

THIS IS THE WORST CRABS I HAVE EVERY HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! THE SERVER WAS AWFUL, ACTED LIKE WE WERE PRIVILEGED TO BE THERE. !NEVER AGAIN AND I ADVISE [PEOPLE TO STAY AWAY! IF YOU HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE THIS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE FOR YOU. THE CRABS WERE SO SALTY THAT ALL YOU COULD TASTE WAS SALT! TRULY THE WORST... I WOULDN'T EVEN LEAVE A REVIEW IF THE WAITRESS WOULD HAVE OFFERED SOME KIND OF DISCOUNT OR TOLD US THAT SHE LET THE MANAGER KNOW OR SOMETHING. TO PAY THAT MUCH FOR CRABS AND BE SO UTTERLY DISGUSTED WAS A REAL DISAPPOINTMENT. NOT TO MENTION IT WAS FATHERS DAY AND THAT WAS WHAT (DAD) WANTED. NO MANAGER EVER CAME BY AND SAID ANYTHING SI ALL I CAN IMAGINE IS THAT THEY REALLY DON'T CARE OR THE WAITRESS NEVER SAID ANYTHING... SURE WAY TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS! THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME THEY GOT MY MONEY AND THE LAST ... TO THE TUNE OF ALMOST $300... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, I SEE ANOTHER POST SAID SOMETHING ABOUT THE CRAB CAKES BEING TOO SALTY..... NOT TO MENTION I WASN'T FEELING WELL THAT NIGHT AFTER EATING THERE. I WONDER IF THEY ARE DOING THAT TO MAKE THEM LAST LONGER AND THEY PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE BEEN THROWN OUT!

Hardly any room for crackers with all the succulent oysters

Food was pricy!! $60 for 6 crabs, 4 crab legs, and shrimp.The atomspher was nice overlooking the pier but the service and food could have been better due to the high menu prices.

I had the crabs they were okay. I was hoping they would be bomb because I drove so far. I loved the view though and I appreciated the fact that it was plenty of parking.
