Capozzi Paving, Inc. Review

Called and scheduled an estimate. They did not bother to show up or call.

We're a Townhouse community of 48 Owners with 12 buildings. Our entire main road and all driveways needed to be replaced. After doing our research we chose Capozzi to do the work. We started the work in June 2020 - postponed due to the shut down. This was a large job: coordinating where residents should and should not park, making sure garage doors were open when they needed to be, maintaining the flow of residents in and out of the community. How pleasantly surprised we were with the Capozzi crews and how they worked so well with the community on a project that had so many various needs. We had no - not one - complaint from any of the Owners and we had many owners applaud how well the work was going and how wonderful our new road looks. We highly recommend Cappozi. If they can keep 48 Owners happy for a little over 2 weeks..... they can do anything. You're welcome to drive through our "undiscovered treasure" known as Swallow Creek in Clarence Center to view our new road and driveways..... just respect our 15 MPH speed limit.....

I called to book a driveway seal. My initial conversation was great, she said someone should be out within a week and the quote would be at my door. Nobody showed so I followed up after 10 days or so and was informed they wouldn t be coming. They never called me & seem to think this is good practice. Don t give your business to a company that just doesn t show up or call & thinks this is ok ! Save yourself the headache

Did not fulfill contractual obligation and did not complete job.

Job was scheduled for October company promised to show up 6 time never show up till the following year in May then when they show up they asked for more money to do job then they were suppose to seal my driveway 5 months later for free do to all of the problems they gave me company never showed up or called I had to call ace paving to finish job

They where true professional from the very beginning. Answered any questions I had and they took PRIDE in their work.
I can not understand how they received low rating from these other customers.
I will be using them every year I need to have my driveway sealed or worked on.

Had driveway replaced last year,buy a different paveing company.Thay showed me that old driveway was only one inch thick in most areas. It was supposed to be three inch thick.

I hired Capozzi Paving and Concrete on May 24th to put concrete in a new garage and blacktop a driveway. This is a new build garage and I contracted them on May 24th, 2019. Salesman said it would be done around the second week in July. When the office called to schedule the appointment she said concrete would go in on Aug 2nd and blacktop on Aug 10th because they are behind due to rainy weather. As we were disappointed, my husband said oh well, it has been a rainy season and everyone is behind . I called office 2 weeks ago to make sure they are coming Aug 2nd and she said she would get back to me. They called yesterday and said they are behind and she can t give me a date..Isn t that wonderful. They are holding up my contractors who are waiting to do brick on the front of the garage. I also gave them a $1,300.00 deposit. What s the matter Capozzi? Are the BIG JOBS coming first and piss on the little jobs? That s no way to do business.. I guess that s why all the other contractors have 5 stars and you only have 2. Wish I would have read reviews before I hired you.

Had a new asphalt driveway instaled by Capozzi in 2001. Just had it replaced by a reputable company after 16 years, as it was falling apart, cracking, etc. When excavated, found NO stone under 1/2 of the Capozzi installation, 2" of stone under the other half and asphalt thickness only 1-1/2 on the edges to 2-1/2 inches in the center instead of 3" overall. The Capozzi quote stated they put in 8" of stone and 3" of blacktop. Also found they had damaged underground drainage piping and just cocvered it up. Run away from this company, horrible!!!

I used capozzi before and was very happy this time in June 2018 I used them to do my drive way BIG MISTAKE this year they messed up.called to ask to fix the problem and was fed a bunch of excuses as why my concrete looked like it did
Messy and professional they threw concrete on my front lawn which now I have to pay a landscaper to fix it,my driveway is smaller then the original not at all what I asked for. These guys were sloppy and in a big hurry no concern or care of my property,used a poorer different type of concrete.

We hired Capozzi Paving and Concrete to remove and replace an existing concrete floor in our garage and to repair and redo an existing blacktop driveway. We are very happy with the work that was done and the professional way all the employees responded to our questions and concerns. We would definitely recommend them to others.

Repaved and enlarged my driveway and installed new concrete sidewalks at a great price! Thank you Nick!

I will continue to highly recommend Capozzi for any Blacktop or Concrete work needed to be done . team was great and the women in the office were always so helpful. Work was scheduled and completed in a timely manner- No Complaints!

Absolutely awful company who does not stand behind their shoddy work. Zero ethics.

Here's the short - we (my neighbors and I) were offered a great deal to have all of our driveways sealed (asphalt). Naturally, we all said okay as we all were looking to have this done. Fast forward, Capozzi comes out, very friendly) and seals the driveways - I ask multiple times if the sealant will be ok as rain was in the forecast for the next 2-3 days. Also, I asked repeatedly if the driveway would be dry by the weekend as we were having a big party. I was assured that everything would be fine even with the rain.

It wasn't. The rain came, and literally washed almost all of the sealant down my driveway and across the concrete sidewalk and driveway apron - staining it black. It also splashed into the grass and up my house - up the white garage door and up the siding. Additionally, the driveway was not dry. Anyone who walked by the house walking their dogs, etc would track black footprints that are still there.

I called Capozzi countless times to have this fixed, cleaned and taken care of. I was told they were looking into it and eventually sent some men out to powerwash. Well, let me rephrase...they came out with a powerwasher...nothing was done. Since then i have called multiple times to follow up, left messages without receiving a return phone call.

My next action will involve my attorney but I wanted to post this review and synopsis to warn anyone else who was thinking about doing business with this shady company...stay far away.

Last year I had Capozzi Paving do my residential 500 foot Driveway (topcoat) and it was flawless. From the low area repair work around the house to the attention to detail (avoiding any splash onto my stamped concrete sidewalk or house) to the skillful maneuvering around my circle turnaround, I was overall very impressed.

So much so, that this year (Sep 2018) I had him come back and do my company's 7,800 square foot parking lot and side driveway in Williamsville. It was in bad shape and they took the time to again address the specific issues and then overlay a new topcoat. Same workmanship as before and competitively priced after obtaining a number of quotes. No damage or oil residue anywhere on the stucco which I was pleased to see.

They seal coated my driveway and did a very good job at a reasonable price.

They said they were coming to give me an estimate at a certain time they never showed up and when I call the office she said well I guess you just have to assume that we're not coming I never did business with people like this before

I've been calling them almost weekly since November, and they haven't returned my call. (The first picture is from November) They paved my driveway in June of 2018. In November 2018 it had already started to crack and it sunk and created a huge low spot that pools by our door. It gets so bad that it actually puddles up and goes into the garage! They didn't pitch it correctly or they did and they didn't tamp it down enough so the base sank. What's worse is that now in the winter I have a sheet of ice by the entryway door so its pretty dangerous and there isn't anything I can do about it. We didn't even seal it yet because it hasn't hit the 1 year mark.

Either way, I've been calling for months. (LITERALLY) and they won't return my call. I would avoid them, they don't stand behind their 5 month old work and aren't professional enough to respond to calls. Maybe they went out of business, I don't know, I just keep leaving voicemails on their answering service.

The last 2 pictures are from March. Notice how much worse is gotten. Called Shaun Friday and they still haven't returned my call. I know call every Monday and Friday and haven't received a return call yet.
