Knee Surgery at Texas Orthopedics & Nerve Block and Anesthesia done here - I have nerve damage from the procedure. Numb, Tingly, pain and weakness still after 3 months. I had a very simple meniscus tear surgery. Just got a new bill in the mail as well. Overall not a fan.

customer service does not matter in this industry. Billing is absolutely horrible. Never prepay for any services with this group! There is no value. I understand the importance of paying for services, but it is not acceptable to hold any payments made as hostage until charges can be determined.
I'm writing this review on behalf of my husband who is still recovering from surgery. It's important to note that the anesthesiologist was perfectly fine. The woman in billing, Sheila, is cruel.
Sheila called my husband the day before his scheduled surgery to demand $93. He let her know that he wouldn't be paying until insurance settled their claim as we have met our deductible for the year. She called him 3 times the day before his surgery. 3 times!
He spoke with her twice and both times she threatened that he wouldn't be put into the system to receive anesthesia unless payment was made in full. Not only is that unethical, it's harassment, and a lie. What a horrible thing to threaten someone about to go under the knife.
I received a pacemaker in September at the same hospital with anesthesia provided by a different group. I wasn't treated this way at all! We will be complaining to Ascension (Seton). I urge you to schedule surgery when physicians from this group aren't practicing if possible. Hope Sheila made her bonus by scaring patients to squeeze payment out of them in advance of their procedures. The leadership of this group is immoral, and from my experience not in line with the rest of Ascension values.
A lady called me asking me for payment with no explanation of anything. She was very rude and said I could not go through with my surgery if I did not pay my whole bill upfront including my deductible which was already being met through the Dr portion of the procedure. I tried to explain this to her but she still wanted to collect my deductible and my portion after insurance upfront. She gave me no other options. Very unsympathetic and poor customer service. She said she would have a supervisor call me and hung up the call.

I am appalled at these thieving offices. Last month I was contacted and told I had an outstanding balance. I understood and expressed that in these trying times that I could start on a payment plan of only $20 a month but that I was willing to pay something. She asked if setting up an auto draft was possible and I let her know that I could call in monthly to give these payments since money flow in and out of my account is so tight. She understood and I paid my first payment. Today I see that they have now STOLEN over $1600 of money WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION from my account! Of course they are not open on a Saturday but I feel deceived and a victim of theft! I didn t let it go to collections, I was taking care of my bills but taking care of my family right now is more important. If they would do this to me then they can do it to ANYONE.

Terrible experience!! Nightmare with billing and anesthesiologist. I had two procedures within 1 month. The first procedure they screwed up and I woke up mid procedure scared out of my mind choking on the tube shoved down my throat. It was terrifying. I had nightmares after. They couldn t be bothered to notify my loved one that this occurred during my procedure in post op. Guess they thought the drugs would make me forget..or didn t care. When I responded to their post surgery survey truthfully, their representative called me to let me know that everything that happened to me is common. When I told her the anesthesiologist who came to talk to me prior to procedure wasn t present during the procedure she said not to worry that s common too!! Fast forward to my next procedure, they kept me sedated during procedure but chipped my front tooth off and gave me the piece in a biohazard bag and said they d be happy to pay for dental work but it has to be done by their dentist. But then when I call to try to get the dental work taken care of, their financial person states they don't cover that because it is common and on top of that she stated she had contacted anesthesiologist to review the case and he claimed he never stated they would pay for tooth repair. The fact that it was said in front of other people apparently didn't matter. Wow, just unbelievable all around!! Oh and let s not forget how they had someone call me prior to both procedures asking for monies for services they hadn t even rendered nor passed thru my insurance!!!! Something isn t right with this company. Had I not been in so much pain and needed these procedures in timely manner I would never have paid them up front. Second time I even told rep that I d probably already maxed out of pocket for the year and I shouldn t owe anything. She still insisted on taking at least half then would possibly refund anything the insurance pays them! What a scam. Where on earth have you ever paid for services still not rendered, days in advance and told that perhaps you would receive a refund if they get paid by the insurance company!!!! I think they need to be investigated thoroughly. I never write reviews, but this is seriously not ok!
This group of anesthesiologists took such great care of mom yesterday! Thank you for being attentive, kind and giving her a smooth, nausea free surgery.
PLEASE people do you research these folks are trying to double bill me for the same services. I set up a payment plan. Sent in all payments on time. Then get a bill 5 months after surgery wanting more money. I don't think this many billing issues are coincidental, something doesn't seem right???
I highly recommend US. Anesthesia partners. They have been very responsive and respectful towards my special case. Esmeralda Maldonado has taken such good care of me and feel this companys shield of protection amongst the competitors is non parallel.
My recent surgery was a positive experience due to the excellent care I received from Dr. A Losey and the anesthesiology team!
