Capable Kids is a multidisciplinary paediatric practice that provides comprehensive and individualized care for children with developmental, behavioural, and learning difficulties. With two locations in Sydney’s Southern Suburbs in Engadine and in Warrawong in the Illawarra, Capable Kids has been serving families since 2010.

At Capable Kids, we believe that every child has the potential to succeed. Our occupational therapists work with children who have difficulty with fine motor skills such as handwriting or self-care tasks like dressing or eating. They also help children improve gross motor skills such as balance or coordination through play-based activities.

Our speech therapists work with children who have difficulty communicating effectively through language delays or disorders such as stuttering or articulation problems. They also help children improve social communication skills like turn-taking during conversations.

Our psychologists provide assessment services for conditions such as ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety disorders etc., they also provide counselling services for emotional regulation issues like anger management etc.,

We also offer behaviour support services which include functional behaviour assessments (FBA) where our Behaviour Support Practitioners identify triggers for challenging behaviours then develop strategies aimed at reducing these behaviours while increasing positive behaviours using evidence-based approaches like Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).

Educational support and assessments are also available at Capable Kids. Our team of educational specialists work with children who have difficulty with academic skills such as reading, writing or maths. They also provide assessments for learning difficulties like dyslexia or dyscalculia.
