During this stressful time we are told to go to our 'happy place'. . . for me that is Cap Juluca! I changed my screensavers to the pristine beach there and I can't wait to get back when we are able to travel again. Dreaming of the stunning sunrises on the immaculate beach, amazing breakfasts with Fiona's beautiful smile, Justin's amazing mojitos at the Cap Shack, a pampering facial and massage at the spa, and maybe a little rum tasting with Diego at sunset. We will be back to our home away from home soon!

Why: from the welcome when you arrive ... when they accompany you to the room .... prepared for your arrival ... the view of the sea from the room .... and its fantastic beach with fine sand ... with an excellent service !! having breakfast on the veranda outside the room ... excellent restaurants, excellent cuisine ... the possibility of doing water and "land" sports ... the kindness and cordiality that everyone has ... A paradise! All fantastic !!!! I could list a thousand things .... but it corresponds to what the guides describe! Except that it is to be seen live! Maybe not financially accessible but it's worth it.

I had the opportunity to visit this hotel, it was something very interesting, its facilities and staff are perfect for vacationing.

The architecture of this hotel was very well thought out, you can reach it by road or by sea.

They take care of the details to the fullest and the service is top notch. In this place it has a delicious meal, in my case I was able to select vegetarian food and the experience was great.

At the entrance they receive you very well and if you want to go to the beach restaurant they call you in carts, it is very fun.

If you visit Anguilla it is a place that you must visit, totally recommended. You will not regret.

Magnificent location, superb rooms, dream beach, quality catering but the service does not follow despite a very friendly and smiling team but lacking in experience. A customer who is woken up twice by a poorly set landing alarm at night without any commercial gestures (a coffee, a cocktail at the bar? ...), surprisingly, a bedside table for two in a room at $ 1,500 at night, unusual, a threatening or even rude call the day of departure at 12:01 am to vacate the room without delay ... ridiculous.
Last detail, if your English is not flawless or even bilingual, go your way, in four days we did not meet any French speakers in the hotel staff despite the French coast at thirty minutes by boat.

I could write a book about this place but I will try and keep this relatively brief. The hotel and grounds are what you would expect from a 5 star resort and with virtually no signs of Irma with exception of a very minor things. It is virtually a new resort but interestingly enough it looks like most of the larger palm trees were alive and well which made it even seem nicer. The rooms are amazing and have been completely renovated from floor to ceiling....with exceptional details. Every villa(room, suite or whatever you want to call them) in this resort faces the ocean so no need to worry if you are going to get a garden or pool view, ilo the ocean.

As far as we are concerned Maunday's Bay(& beach)is unsurpassed by any other in the Caribbean that we have experience, including St. Barts, Turks & Caicos, Bahama's, Jamaica, etc........white sand(similar to Destin, Fl) and the blue water similar to what you would see in Hawaii or the Greek Islands. While in Anguilla, my wife and I went to every beach and there is nothing even close to the beauty of this stretch of beach and water, not to mention the ocean side villa's that brings it all together. If you want a big resort style pool next to the ocean....go to Four Seasons on the island(which is beautiful I might add), but if you are a true beach lover and go to the beach to play on the beach and swim in the ocean.....look no further than this place. It is the perfect location! You are literally 100' from your room to the beach. The do have a couple of pools near the main club house but this is not what will keep you coming back.

Ok....spectacular beach, ocean and villas, but that is only part of the magic of this place. From the time you walk into the resort lobby until the time you have your last breakfast the employees at this resort make you feel like royalty and are absolutely the nicest people we have ever experienced at a resort of any kind. The day we left, I notice numerous people hugging waiters and waitresses, hosts, managers, etc. and acting as if they were telling family members good-bye....we also had forged friendships during our stay and hope to see them when we return. It is crazy how nice and accommodating every single one of these people were during our stay. I would like to give a special shout out to some of the employees that we met who made lasting impressions.... Derell, Lily and Eli who focused on the service aspects; Fiona, St Claire, Jamal and Floyd who waited on us at Cip's(breakfast restaurant); Vanessa at Cap Shack(never stops smiling)....awesome place for lunch on the beach; and the one and only Clarone(aka Marsha/Slim Shady) at the beach tent bar that serviced Villa 12.....this guy knows service and makes a mean drink of any variety! You push the service button attached to your beach umbrella and you will have drinks within minutes. He had our beach spot set up and ready to go every single morning!

We did not eat at Cip's or Pimms(resort restaurants) for dinner because we like to explore local venues, but if dinner is anything like breakfast or lunch then you can't go wrong!

I forgot to mention.....for some reason we originally only booked 6 nights ilo of our traditional 7 nights when we travel to the beach. It only took 24 hours for me to realize this was a huge mistake, so I made two calls...one to the front desk asking if we could stay and extra night and the other to my travel agent to see if she could find a way to get us back home if we extended our trip by a day......fortunately both worked out and we got our full seven days in paradise. The resort charged us for the exact same daily rate as we had the last night, which was quite surprising considering the resort seemed to be a full capacity.

There are a lot more things I could go into detail on but I am out of time.....just trust me, this resort is a no brainer!

Until next time Belmond Cap Juluca......and it want be long!

The service and the hotel itself has an ambiance that keeps you wanting to return over and over. The restaurants are gorgeous and with finger licking delicacies from the Buffet breakfast at Cip's to the diverse menu at Cap shak, keeps you satisfied.

Never shall there be a more peaceful and relaxing place that mine eyes have beholden than Cap Juluca. As you are greeted when you arrive here with the kind expression of, "welcome home", it honestly feels that way. I truly fit into the later group of people, I seen listed in a blessing, written on a T-shirt at Irie Life, "May God bless the Locals and those who wish they were".

Perfect vacation spot for pure relaxation..
You are surrounding by natural beauty...the sand, the water, the beach....the trees.
The rooms are clean, comfortable , inviting....and open up to a balcony facing the beach......All staff are pleasant, accommodating, and ready to pamper all guests. The food is fantastic at Cap Juluca and at neighboring restaurants.

We came here for a quick lunch, we had just gotten in from the ferry and everything else was closed. The menu looks really good, but the food was lackluster, especially at $20 for a salad. The Caesar salad was about $2 of lettuce, something that tasted like coleslaw dressing and some fried prosciutto of all things. The burger was the same price and substantially better, although the fries were cold and soggy.

After 23 years of coming to Cap Juluca, it is consistently the best experience in the World. From Monoco, to St Tropez to Hong Kong and Bangkok to Hawaii and Sydney, this is our favorite spot and resort ! Was the first place we experienced beach waiters to bring cold drinks and wash cloths. No better setting or beach beauty in the world. The service, attitude and friendliness of the staff is the best.

Cap Juluca has been my favorite hotel in Anguilla for years and I am absolutely in love with the new upgrades to the Belmond property. Its picturesque location on Maunday s Bay is unmatched and the property is intentionally designed to allow for amazing beach views from any point. The restaurants in particular provide the most stunning beach front views and is the perfect ambience to enjoy an exquisite meal. The food never disappoints! The service is always exceptional. The total Cap Juluca experience is the perfect embodiment of luxury at its finest. I highly recommend a stay at Cap Juluca when visiting Anguilla.

Just visit the beach and it is very pretty sight, what I did not like that in the sand I found many glasses scattered in the sand and you can cut your aunt or your children if you take them to swim there, the food is very small. Beach menu, hamburger with potatoes, very good burger, meat a bit dry ... But good! I ordered some cookies from the dessert house and I did not like that they were almost frozen, they took away from me the urge to ask for a coffee to eat them, I had to take them home to warm them up a bit, from then on everything went well .

Most beautiful natural setting in the Caribbean. Dinner buffet bbq and music were excellent. Cips breakfast and overall service were very good. The people and its beauty makes old charm with a modern feel so comfortable.

I can t say enough wonderful things about our recent stay at Belmond Cap Juluca! We honeymooned there 16 years ago (before it was Belmond) and at that time we thought it was amazing, but since coming back post renovation, it s even more spectacular and everything we could have ever wanted in a relaxing luxurious vacation!! From stunning blue waters and manicured sand just steps from your villa, to first-class accommodations and impeccable service, there s no detail left undone at Cap Juluca.

Our room host, Kennedy, was super helpful with helping plan our days throughout the stay and he was so much fun to get to know! He was always available and graciously assisted with anything we requested. Our beach host Alexander was also great! Such a hard worker and always there when he saw a need. It was nice being able to just push a button on the umbrella when we wanted a drink, food or a float.

Another thing we like about the resort is it doesn t feel overly crowded like some of the other high-end resorts on the island. Even though there were several families there with kids, it was still fairly quiet and we didn t feel disturbed.

I would highly recommend Belmond Cap Juluca and can t wait to return!!!

Beautiful setting. Excellent service that goes exceedingly beyond your expectations and needs. The staff is genuinely hospitable to the point where your treated like family. Cap Juluca is superb and the experience is ahead of their counterparts.

Just decided to stop by Maundays to get a drink and had the most wonderful experience! Jessica was at the bar and her service and insight kept us there for several hours. We ended up knoshing our way through several amazing appetizers. Jessica knew everything on the menu and was a wonderful host. We will definitely be back.

Never seen a more beautiful resort property. Crystal clear blue water, Mediterranean inspired architecture, and sugar white sands.

Rooms are spacious and interiors are on point.

The staff is friendly and helpful. They just opened one month ago so there were a few kinks to work out, but overall our stay was top notch.

This is a stunning property with great restaurants, beautiful views and a luxurious atmosphere.

We came here almost 25 years ago for our honeymoon and loved every minute on the island and especially at Cap Juluca. We then returned 3 years later when my wife was pregnant with our 1st daughter. Sadly, since then and with the birth of our 2nd daughter all of our travel has been within the United States. Those kids are expensive! We are praying for them finally move out after graduating college so we can return.

Had to 2 star based on drastically mixed service. The property is a 5 . Some staff such as Dion, Justin and others are great. In fact I've had nothing but 5 experiences at Maundays club. And if you're a tourist you can probably stop reading here, your entire visit will likely be wonderful.

The reason I have to go 2 star is because some of the staff have the wrong attitude towards non-tourists. Every time we go we are treated like royalty up until the point where they ask "where are you from". At that point we reply honestly: Island Harbour. From there we no longer get prompt or friendly service. They always make us argue to get the local discount they offer, once stating that a local drivers license isn't sufficient and that we need an Anguillian passport. If it happened only once I'd be fine assuming the person was having a bad day. It's happened so many times that we stopped going prior to the renovations. We've returned once since, exact same attitude.

I'm not sure why we are treated that way. We eat, drink, and have a good time. We never complain about prices. We always tip well. We are always polite. We treat them as we'd like to be treated, as you should, and as you have to on an island where everyone knows everyone. And yet, their pattern of "if you aren't a tourist then go away" persists.

If my guests want to go I may give it one more shot next season. But, based on how I've been treated the last half dozen times I've visited, I'll always meet that suggestion with: are you sure you wouldn't rather go to...

We've been here a couple of times and all though the location is simply beautiful and the beach is the best in Anguilla the rooms are very old and in need of renovation.. Last time we had to change the room because of the mildew smell. The club, main house and restaurant have been renovated and one of the villas but the other rooms are very old. For the high in season price I don't think we will come here soon. Three stars are for the beach and friendly staff.

It was a great place to stay. what makes this place even better is the culture tour by Anguilla Access, they will pick you from by the front desk and make sure you get to see all of the island, much better than a cab.

smiles and a helpful greeting. Swimming is some of the e best on the island. I love riding my Belmond bike to the buffet breakfast in the mornings. No detail is overlooked here.

Wanted to check out the newly renovated property and was wowed by everything, it s still one of the most exquisite hotels, the food and service was excellent and the views of Maundays Bay are impeccable. Looking forward to going back!

An amazing resort! We spent a week here and the staff in all areas were just so friendly! When we first arrived Tazandra made sure she gave us a tour of our room and explained everything! So welcoming!! We spent a lot of time on the beach and our attendants Carol M. and Calrone were the best!!! We also spent time at Maundays, and can t say enough about Barbie!

We stayed right before they closed for the renovations. I think the beach is the best on the island! I think the resort is decent size, with decent amenities. The room was ok, but the entire property is being renovated. As for me and my wife, we are coming back. The most important highlights of the trip:
-The fact that all rooms face the beach
-Crystal Clear beach water-waves are small if any
-Your beach chairs are placed out every morning for you
-Every umbrella has a red flag that you can let down to alert the beach attendant that you need - DRINKS! water, more towels, food, whatever you need will be there! This was the best!
We are coming back in 2019!

The first time we saw the sugar white sand, the turquoise blue water and the mountains of St. Martin in the background, we knew this was the perfect place to stay for our honeymoon. The staff were very caring the instant we arrived until the day we left. They even serve you a variety of sorbet at 3 pm everyday on the beach! This is the hotel we will base all other Caribbean hotels against. We absolutely loved it!

Haven't actually stayed here yet but will in November. Toured the grounds and it is extremely well kept. The staff are fabulously friendly and everyone greets you. Had lunch here as well. Our waitress was genuinely friendly and the service was excellent. The prices were reasonable and we were seated facing the bay. Gorgeous property. Room rates are a bit pricy but the place is divine.

My wife and I had wanted to go here for many years. Unfortunately the property needed a refresh so we held off. We went in Jan 2019 after it reopened Dec 2018. Cap Juluca is one of the most stunning resort properties in the Caribbean. The beach is incredible and with the remodel finished it is the complete package. The rooms are very luxurious. We have stayed at the Four Seasons, which is nice, but Cap Juluca is much nicer.
