I could write a book about this place but I will try and keep this relatively brief. The hotel and grounds are what you would expect from a 5 star resort and with virtually no signs of Irma with exception of a very minor things. It is virtually a new resort but interestingly enough it looks like most of the larger palm trees were alive and well which made it even seem nicer. The rooms are amazing and have been completely renovated from floor to ceiling....with exceptional details. Every villa(room, suite or whatever you want to call them) in this resort faces the ocean so no need to worry if you are going to get a garden or pool view, ilo the ocean.

As far as we are concerned Maunday's Bay(& beach)is unsurpassed by any other in the Caribbean that we have experience, including St. Barts, Turks & Caicos, Bahama's, Jamaica, etc........white sand(similar to Destin, Fl) and the blue water similar to what you would see in Hawaii or the Greek Islands. While in Anguilla, my wife and I went to every beach and there is nothing even close to the beauty of this stretch of beach and water, not to mention the ocean side villa's that brings it all together. If you want a big resort style pool next to the ocean....go to Four Seasons on the island(which is beautiful I might add), but if you are a true beach lover and go to the beach to play on the beach and swim in the ocean.....look no further than this place. It is the perfect location! You are literally 100' from your room to the beach. The do have a couple of pools near the main club house but this is not what will keep you coming back.

Ok....spectacular beach, ocean and villas, but that is only part of the magic of this place. From the time you walk into the resort lobby until the time you have your last breakfast the employees at this resort make you feel like royalty and are absolutely the nicest people we have ever experienced at a resort of any kind. The day we left, I notice numerous people hugging waiters and waitresses, hosts, managers, etc. and acting as if they were telling family members good-bye....we also had forged friendships during our stay and hope to see them when we return. It is crazy how nice and accommodating every single one of these people were during our stay. I would like to give a special shout out to some of the employees that we met who made lasting impressions.... Derell, Lily and Eli who focused on the service aspects; Fiona, St Claire, Jamal and Floyd who waited on us at Cip's(breakfast restaurant); Vanessa at Cap Shack(never stops smiling)....awesome place for lunch on the beach; and the one and only Clarone(aka Marsha/Slim Shady) at the beach tent bar that serviced Villa 12.....this guy knows service and makes a mean drink of any variety! You push the service button attached to your beach umbrella and you will have drinks within minutes. He had our beach spot set up and ready to go every single morning!

We did not eat at Cip's or Pimms(resort restaurants) for dinner because we like to explore local venues, but if dinner is anything like breakfast or lunch then you can't go wrong!

I forgot to mention.....for some reason we originally only booked 6 nights ilo of our traditional 7 nights when we travel to the beach. It only took 24 hours for me to realize this was a huge mistake, so I made two calls...one to the front desk asking if we could stay and extra night and the other to my travel agent to see if she could find a way to get us back home if we extended our trip by a day......fortunately both worked out and we got our full seven days in paradise. The resort charged us for the exact same daily rate as we had the last night, which was quite surprising considering the resort seemed to be a full capacity.

There are a lot more things I could go into detail on but I am out of time.....just trust me, this resort is a no brainer!

Until next time Belmond Cap Juluca......and it want be long!
