Stayed here for 2 weeks during late December. The park is clean and has a wonderful fenced off leash dog run. Plenty of free poop bags available around the park. Premium site E3 was level with good hookups, but right next to the Hwy 37. Water spigot was locked down at 8PM or 36 degrees and was unlocked at 8AM and 36 degrees. If you're here during cold months be sure and have a good water pump. Employees were nice enough but I didn't have that much contact with them. Propane was cheap. Beautiful 36 hole golf course next door. Now for the negative. Traffic on Hwy 37 runs 24/7. Really loud truck noise, especially when they regularly use jake brakes. We suffered 2 weeks of constant road noise. I suspect this was a better park before they built that highway. I also suspect that this park will be closed and turned into commercial property in the near future. The highway is ruining everything good about this park. As mentioned earlier by other reviewers...the Visitor Fee. I can see maybe charging visitors some kind of user fee when the pool is open, but charging a fee during winter months is ridiculous. Our daughter BRIEFLY visited us and was charged $5.00. She never left the camper. Additionally, when we rented the premier site we read that we could have 2 free visitors. Not true, deceptive. They advised that since we had the reduced winter rate on the premier site that the free visitor policy was void. Again, lies. I highly suspect that the visitor fee goes directly into the pocket of someone because they demand cash only, no receipt. Probably something like a tip. I bet the IRS would be interested. I don't think the owners of this park live on-site, only the manager. I don't think the owners really care much what happens as long as they get their money. The visitor fee left a bad taste in my mouth and I highly doubt I will be back. OK for a quickie overnight visit but don't waste your time with long term stay.
