Great, big campsite.
Great, big campsite.
The sanitary facilities are very clean and the showers unusually spacious. In the small shop at the entrance (07:30 clock to 10:30 clock and 16:30 clock to 19:00 clock) you get everything you need. (If you can get up before 09:00, you may also get croissants and pain au chocolat!)
For children, the front area with swimming pool, table tennis and the lake is great for spending time. For adults, the quieter rear area on the L'Ognon River is recommended.
Boule areas and large meadows for Viking chess, badminton and other games are also abundant. Wood for campfires can be found on the edge of the adjacent forest.
Should it ever get boring, the bathing lake invites you to swim and splash, or the river for canoeing (bring your own canoe or hire the rental company). Furthermore, the village of Rougemont (about 20 minutes) or the small town Villersexel (about 60 minutes) can be easily reached by bike. The latter offers with the local Intermarche a good opportunity for shopping. There is a small market every summer on the first and third Wednesday of the month.
An estimated 90% of the visitors are from Germany and the places for campers and caravans are very large (about 12x13 m) and separated by trees and small bushes, which also provides some shadier places. Hammocks, armchairs and slacklines can easily be attached to the trees.
