Im an old soul that went to this camp so long ago. I remember every detail of my time spent here. I felt so cared for and encouraged. I was in a place with others from all over the world. I met amazing kids and some really great adults that worked there. Camp Wawenock gave me the sense of family and growth as a child. I learned to do and try many things. I experienced things in life I would have never had the chance to, had I not attended. Thank You for the memories.

A safe and supporting environment for girls to discover sense of self in the beauty of Lake Sebago; learning new skills, making new friends, daring to try, and learning self reliance. These skills transfer to adulthood and are becoming more difficult to learn in the crazy, hectic pace where we are surrounded by faux perfection at the touch of a finger tip. Camp is a gift for kids!!

My daughter just completed her second summer here and I couldn't be happier (unless I was going to camp myself) for her experience. Not only do they tailor to the needs of the kids but they work on issues they may have at home as well (I.e listening, picking up after themselves etc). Its an incredible place where girls make new friends, learn amazing skills and really get to enjoy their Summer. My daughter loves it, and goes for a full Summer which is 7 1/2 weeks, but they also offer one week for little girls who aren't quite there yet and they can also do a half summer as well to get use to it. They offer all kinds of activities, golf, tennis, arts and crafts, horseback riding, archery, riflery and SO much more. Parents can visit twice, but you can also attend shows that your daughter might be in as well. Really great camp for girls!!!

At Camp Wawenock I can be myself and make true friends. I have built strong skills in my activities and learned so much about who I am. I have been so successful because of the great devotion and love the counselors show for all the campers. Wawenock as shaped who I am and I couldn't be so comfortable in my own skin and as responsible as I am today if it wasn't for this beautiful group of people I call my family.

I have been a camper here for the past 8 summers and have loved it! Wawencok embraces the factor of building a summer family based on values that are taught through example over a time period of seven weeks. There are no half sessions at Wawenock and that just makes the sense of community even stronger. The older campers set models and the younger campers learn from that. The people at camp accept people from all walks of life, there are people that travel the world to come here for the summer! Also when you arrive at camp no matter if it is your first summer or your eighth you are greeted with huge hugs and smiles and it makes you feel right at home! I have made friends here that will last a life time and I know they will always be there for me if I need them!

Camp Wawenock is my home away from home, where I have made friends that will last a lifetime. At Camp Wawenock you can learn many life long skills and also have fun doing a wide variety of activities on the water and off. The directors and counselors take time to get to know each camper personally through out the 7 weeks of camp. These are some of the things that keep me coming back to camp summer after summer. With out a doubt Wawenock has shaped who I am today and the one thing I look forward to over the school year is going back to be with my friends, and although in the end we are sad to go there will always be another summer to come at Wawenock.
