For our two boys, Skylemar is life itself.
There s simply no other camp like it. Period.
Why? No other camp is run by Arleen and Shep. That s the difference, they care about our individual boys like their own. This is not business for them, this is their life.
Their dedicated staff and counselors genuinely about each and every boy s happiness and safety in ways I really never thought possible. As parents, that is worth gold.
All these and more equal the happiest boys in the world.
And it s no surprise that they attract the nicest quality of boys and families to their camp year after year. It s true. Ask to talk to current and past parents.
WE JUST LOVE THIS CAMP!

I m currently the parent of a 3rd year Skylemar camper who is now 9 years old and it is with great enthusiasm that I share this review! My sisters and I all attended all-girls camp for years up in Maine and my late father was a Maine camper and counselor. There was no question that my son would go to camp in Maine, it was simply a mattter of which camp? We considered many of the all-boys traditional camps there but had always heard wonderful and consistent feedback about Skylemar in particular. After meeting Arleen and Shep, I knew we had found the ideal Directors and camp environment for my son because they genuinely understand boys and that cannot be emphasized enough!! There are so many options in Maine but NONE compare to Skylemar, its alumni reputation and their love for the camp speaks volumes!! It is an intimate camp with hands-on and involved directors, a nurturing/supportive wonderful staff, spectacular athletic program and waterfront, not to mention various alternative activities such as science, cooking and art. Skylemar's facility and beautiful grounds are so well maintained. I particularly love how it attracts lovely families from all over the US and abroad that have similar ideals and values and this was paramount for us, just a perfect match! I am happy to speak directly with any prospective parents who want to learn more from a very happy current family.

It is a great place with sports, activities, and great staff.

This is where your kids want tongo if you're looking for a place that is so amazing. The people here is nice, cool and everything you hope for a nice summer camp.

This is the best boys sports plus so much more camp you could ever send your child too. My so had so much fun before he left he was coming back next year. You feel welcome like your at home. Everyone is a pleasure. Arline is so sweet with the hugs. Words just can't explain how they are. Children have such a great time. The wonderful stories on the way back home from camp priceless. It is amazing going to a baseball game and going on fun adventures with fun to talk to counselors it has to be one of the best camps I have ever been! Go to camp this year it is amazing! And have happy adventures and memories with your relatives
