Absolutely wonderful place to be! My family has been coming here every summer for many years now and we love it. There is plenty to do. Hiking, swimming and canoeing to name a few. The facilities are nice. Especially the newer additions to the campus.
It was really fun I am 12 and I went on a field trip with my school and I got to touch a snake for the first time and I got to see so many cool things and their food was really good and I got to taste food I never have before I would really recommend u going it was the best field trip I have ever went on and I got yo jump off of a power pole but it was safe we had on harnesses and we went on a trust swing it felt like a roller coaster it was really fun
I grew up as a camper at Camp McDowell. There were always fun activities and the staff were always caring and kind. No better place than Wonderful Wonderful Camp McDowell to learn about Love and friendship.
I've been three times with different groups. A pleasure each time. The instructors are entertaining as well as knowledgeable. They do a great job of working around the weather to keep the kids engaged in educational activities. In the words of Big Dave, this place is "AWESOME"

This was the best. I went on a field trip and I learned so much!! The staff was friendly and were always willing to answer questions. The food was amazing, and there were many different options. The cabin was not fancy, but it was nice and clean! I would reccomend this to anyone. This is the best camp EVER!

My daughter, granddaughter and myself just got back from a 3 day visit here. Six hundred dollars later I've never been so disappointed. Facilities were awful, staff and accommodations were terribly.
Food was really good, it s a beautiful place. The leaders take pride in their work. Only problem I had was one of the leaders named Dragon I believe was rude to my daughter , she had a hurt foot and was miserable and not paying attention, she called her out which was uncalled for especially knowing how bad she felt. Then when I was checking on my daughters foot, she told us to be quiet, so we left.
We had a great time. Lots of walking but that s expected it s a camp and a farm. Food was good. Was really cool learning about the different things as they grow. The kids had a great time. They really seemed to be into the planting of the Kale, they loved that hands on experience. Dragon was super great and you can tell she really loves what she does. She has a real passion for it.

The cabins were dirty and the windows were broke the shower had lots of bugs in them and the food was terrible I later got food poisoning after not to mention the employee s were rude and disrespectful I would not recommend going here or bringing your children here
When I went here for a school field trip it was HORRIBLE. The cabins are not clean and are very dirty. Literally had a spider crawl out the drain in the shower. And not to mention lots of broken windows in there. Some workers actually quite rude . I would not recommend going or bringing your child here.
Camp McDowell is 1 of my top 5 favorite places to be! Its were I can unwind and recharge. There are no words to accurately describe how accommodating the staff is and the grounds are over the top!! Whether you and your partner want to plan a short get away, your whole church needs a retreat, your teenager needs a summer escape, you want to try and learn a new skill or your business needs a conference center they've got you covered!!
I've been there only twice and it was tha bomb. I had so much fun with my friends and i hope to go there again.
Absolutely Amazing Food and in all I had a wonderful time I could stay there for another 3 days bit I had to leave
I love this place. Really summons my inter family history. I good place where I hope i can pass my genes into the future. I hope children and my grandchildren experience the same pleasures I had at this location on earth.
I have been going to camp mcdowell ever since I was little and I have always had the best time!
This is an Episcopalian Retreat Center tucked nicely away in the peaceful, quiet woods. Ignoring the goofy mailing address --the place is actually more convenient to Jasper than it is Nauvoo-- Camp McDowell was relatively easy to find and HAPPILY off the beaten path. The staffers are friendly and helpful, the food is amazing, and the rooms are cozy. The prices are certainly more British than American, but you can overlook this flaw when you focus on the mission and the friends you'll make out there.
It was the best experience ever I personally think their pizza was the best but good staff and if you get the good cabin the beds are comfortable
Really great place. The people there are doing wonderful things. They have fantastic food, and beautiful lodges. A lot of the food, if not all of it comes from their farm. It is beautiful and peaceful. I would ve taken more pictures, but was so busy, I didn t take my camera or phone. That s a great and rare thing. I m excited to send my little boy to camp there one day. They have an awesome preschool, as well. The lake is calm. I m excited to return.

I loved my experience at Farm school! I stayed 3 days, 2 nights. There is so much to do! I went with my schools and we saw many animals, took fun hikes, and even made veggie fried rice out of the plants that had growing there. It is really cool that they have this place where you get to plant, feed animals, and have so much fun! The whole experience was highly enjoyable!!
I'm going on a field trip there on May 1,2015 I bet it is going to be awesome I hear it has rock climbing walls I'm so excited hope I like it
Fantastic experience. The counselors were incredible and the entire trip was something I will never forget. My 3rd grader learned so much and truthfully, I did too. I would recommend Camp McDowell to everyone who loves nature.
