This Camp means the world to me. I have been attending ever since I was 6 years old and the times spent at Camp have always been the major highlight of my summers. This is more than just a Camp and Gods glory shines in and through it.
I went here as a kid around 2005 or so. The camp activities were fine but the religious aspects were harmful. The church services were manipulative and gulit ridden and a horrible environment for young impressionable boys. I would do a lot of research before sending any children here because I believe they're doing more harm than good to young generations using god as an excuse.
My three boys have gone to Camp McCall for the last three years. I love that they can be active outdoors with swimming, sports, riflery and more and do it with other young guys their age. I also love that they are surrounded by Godly young staffers, who can mentor and help my boys in their own walk with the Lord. What a blessing to have this place so close to home and affordable!
Camp McCall was our destination for our Trail Life USA Upstate Area Campout and we couldn't have asked for a better place, an incredibly awesome staff and facilities. It catered to both our youngest Trailmen to the oldest. I personally could camp there every weekend if I could.
I am 41. I attended camp for one week here back when i was 10. I asked Jesus into my heart on the last night there. It was in a little chapel up on the hill that overlooked the camp. There were 40 or 50 kids there that night. Every single one of them gave they're lives to Christ that night. It was, and is the most spiritual thing i have experienced in my life. God's hand is on this place. My memories of that week are so vivid still to this day.
Best experience I have ever had, Men's Encampment. Should of attended 10 yrs ago. I will make it my priority not to miss a single 1 from this point on.
Great Christian camp in mountains of SC near NC state line. Beautiful setting, lots to do, first-class staff that is well-trained and well-vetted. A place where boys can be boys. Also a very affordable camp relative to others, and the food is actually good (not always the case at summer camps).
