My church has a church picnic every year. It's a great time for all of us to just get together. I had to look for a new location this year and I was so nervous this being our first visit here let me just tell you that the staff is so amazing. The location was BEAUTIFUL and it was clean all the way from the pool locker rooms to the picnic tables. Great for kids. The pool is very clean and safe. They usually have about 5 lifeguards even though the pool depth is just 3ft but precautions are always important. If you are like us and have a lot of adults going and you think 3ft won't be enough trust me its a great time to just get refreshed and relax on a super hot day. Overall I am just so grateful that we were able to find this location and I can't wait to come back next year. Thank you!

I started going to camp here when i was in 7th grade and kept going all the way until I was old enough to work here. Then I worked as a S.A.M for 2 years and still had a best. I really got to see first hand how the camp was up kept as it's mostly the S.A.M's who clean most parts of the camp. It was also a blast to see God work through campers and other staff and I had a blast even when I was working here.

I went to Camp Manitoqua about three years ago and LOVED IT! The campgrounds were very nice and clean along with the rooms. Our counselor was super friendly and taught us very important facts about Christ. The experience was just one of the best I've had. I'm going back this Summer. Again FIVE STARS!!!

Normally I do not give reviews. You only give reviews on bad experiences. I m only giving a review because I was laughing hysterically at the reviewer below who said it was a terrible place to take inner city youth who said the water smelled like rotten eggs. It s called well water and it s part of the camp experience. I remember having a BLAST here as a kid. Then we moved. :(

I cannot say enough good things about this camp! Every experience we have had there has been incredible. My son his head nothing but the best time enjoying each and every outdoor activity imaginable! No electronics here just good old fashioned fun! The facility is always clean and well maintained. The owners and employees are active within the community. One of the most memorable things is the fact today make a camp city when your child has an overnight experience their. You get to see all the fun they have had on their own and it just makes your heart smile.

One of the camp counselors told my young 10-year old daughter that Santa doesn't exist -- he announced this to her entire group. I understand concentrating on the importance of the real meaning of Christmas, but this was extreme, unacceptable, and outright sad.

I have been to Camp Manitoqua and it was amazing! All of the counselors were very nice, we would go on fun hikes for journey, explorer, and Rez camp. All of the people were very helpful if you needed something. 5 stars!

Campgrounds are very nice on the outside, however the main hall building is run down and not suitable for events. It has a very musty smell and my mold allergies were through the roof. Plus the bathrooms are located downstairs so it's not good for the elderly.

Worst place ever to take inner city youth. Took group from Chicago for spring break, three days without showers because water smelled of rotten eggs. Could not even use the water to brush teeth. Only good experience was the paintball activity. Recreational room was even closed because of construction. Our question is after paying very high cost, why we were never informed about these problems?

Best place to send your kids. I was a camper from age 6 till I was a Senior in highschool. I worked on staff during college. It's a great place for kids, or even retreats. Business, small groups, etc.

Absolutely the best camp ever!!! Both my kids had fantastic times every summer they went there and as a parent I knew I could leave them there safely and they would come home with stories of a fun filled NON ELECTRONIC childhood, exhausted, dirty and always new friends. The counselors all WANT to be there and have fun with the kids. Couldn't ask for a better place.

I grew up going to camp here over the course of a decade and was able to volunteer & serve on staff for two summers after that. There is no better place to send your kids. Manitoqua makes sure to hire only the best staff and their games & activities are top notch for all age groups, from toddlers to teenagers. Not to mention their devotion to Christ, which motivates everything they do here. Now as a soon-to-be mom, I can't wait til I can send my kids here and share the experience with them. Manitoqua will always hold a special place in my life!
