I have gone to 3 outer worldly years of camp so far I started as a letterman and now I would be in 007 but I cannot attend this year because of Covid 19. It really is so sad because I love camp and am going to miss it so much and I m missing one of the most important years of camp. I really wish I could come but I can t this year but camp really is so amazing and I would recommend it to anybody. I was skeptical before my first year but every doubt I had was wrong or so severely outweighed by the plethora of positives that I can t even remember them. Camp is so much more than I could have ever asked for or hoped for and I really am so grateful that my parents allowed me to attend camp see you next year!

I have been going to Camp Champions for the past eight years now, and I have absolutely loved it. Camp has developed me into the man I am today, by teaching me lots of skills. Such as teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and how to take reasonable risks. At Camp I also get the opportunity to try new things such as sailing, climbing the rock wall, and going on the pirate ship. Also the counselors at Camp are the best, they are always encouraging me to be the best I can possibly be, and are always helping me accomplish my goals. I believe that if it had not been for Camp Champions I would not have become the person I am today.
Camp Champions has been such a pivotal part of my children's lives thus far. Both my son and my daughter have attended for the past 5 years. The staff and the counselors are STELLAR.
I send my kids to camp because I want them to have the best chance possible to have a happy, healthy, and enriching childhood. The camp experience taps into that possibility in a way that is super powerful. I can't re-create or simulate the experiences of camp - not through family-time, not through after school activities, nor through school. It has been an education in life - building personal competencies, relationships, and being good members of a community. There is a sense of home at CC. The community that is built at this camp is unparalleled.
Kids are very connected these days to technology (iphone and ipads), they seem to be constantly seeking the next perceived novelty through an incoming text or online interest. As parents we worry about screen time and internet safety. I love that at camp, they are disconnected from the digital world so they can remember what it is like to be in a moment. To truly live in the moment, face-to-face with novel EXPERIENCES and friends.
At CC, my kids have found a safe, nurturing environment. It is inclusive, supportive, and filled with both role models and friends. They learn to navigate a world without me and successfully contribute to social network while building autonomy - it is so positive in developing life skills, all structured around a common purpose of camaraderie. I like to think of their camp experiences as "covert" stretching exercises to develop healthy habits and become well-functioning adults.
At CC, they have a goal of having kids see themselves as capable of trying new things, to take reasonable risks. With taking risks, comes a recognition that they have capacity for resilience and courage. Good stuff.
My kids come home from camp as happier people, with a keener sense of self and a greater sense of gratitude. There is some kind of personal transformation that occurs each year at camp- they continue to grow into kids of high character and they mature. Camp Champions has become the highlight of the year for my children. I feel quite certain that when my children reflect back to their childhood, they will say that camp was a game-changer. They will look back at their camp photos, remember their summers by the lake and thank us for taking a risk, making an investment, and loving them enough to send them to camp.
I was a camper at CC for 8 years and a counselor for 3 and I can honestly say it is my favorite place on earth! As a kid growing up, I returned each summer for the ample opportunities to wakeboard, play basketball, go off the glob, and run around playing safari with the whole camp in the evenings. As I got older, I returned for the friendships I had already made and the potential for new relationships each summer. To this day, as a junior in college, I regularly talk to many of my camp friends I made in middle and high school. I would not have wanted to spend my few college summers any differently I continue to build strong relationships and meet amazing people from all over the world. Whether you are looking for you kid to go to camp this summer or want an amazing summer job, I d definitely recommend Camp Champions it is not a decision you will regret!
Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed her experience last summer in her first year of camp, and she can't wait to go back again this year. Once we met the staff and saw the facility, we had no qualms what so every about sending her off as a 6 year old for two weeks. I feel that the experiences and skills gained at Camp Champions will serve her well as she grows as a person. The staff there does an amazing of appreciating all the special things about our child that we do as parents, while also looking to help her grow in the areas in which she can improve her skill set.
I LOVED camp, they had a lot of cool activities and it was a great place. im mainly writing this review since summer is almost here and another group will be going. this might be the wrong place to put this but I couldn't find anything about camps history online. Does anyone remember anything about a little girl? I've heard that it wasn't just our group that saw her. maybe its just a weird tradition for camp but it just seemed weird to me and I figured this way more people will see this faster.
While I may not be the loudest, most outgoing, or most creative, Camp Champions accepted me for who I am and has made me into the person I am today. Camp Champions is a magical place. I learned for myself that between all of the fun activities and cabin memories, the fundamentals like independence, perseverance, responsibility, and friendship are taught each day.
im srry i didnt like it! i really hated it! ext. ext.ext. blah blah blah blah blah im so bored! and dont forget to support shawn mendes da best singer on the earth! PLS!
In 2014 I travelled from the UK and worked as a waterfront counsellor here. Best decision I've ever made ! The vibe around camp is unbeatable. I loved the massive community feeling and what this camp can offer to help find the best within all the campers. The selection of activities are endless and all the staff are incredible. Massive credit to Steve, Susie and the team for all their hard work put into this camp. Best summer of my life.
The experience I had a Camp Champions changed my life. I thought this was just going to get another summer job working with kids. I was completely wrong and I did not realize how much a job would have such an impact on not only kids lives but mine. Camp Champions is a place when everyone is welcomed and place to be your self. It instills confidence, compassion and an never give up attitude that you will carry with you for the rest of your life. Camp Champions is a place that I will forever love and appreciate. I am more then pumped to be returning for my 3rd year of adventure and sweat.
It's an amazing place. The food is amazing. And my cabin leader was a very fun and cool guy. All the activities there are great including the blob. I can't wait to go again soon.
I am a camper going on my first year as a senior camper and over my 4 years here i have not had a better time anywhere else. I love camp like a second home and they have built me into who i am today. I owe camp so much, and cant wait to go this year!!!
I love camp champions it's my favorite place in the world it's full and f fn and life lessons friends and great councelors. I recommend this place to all.
Our family loves Camp Champions! Our daughter (a first time camper) had a wonderful time during her 3 weeks there. The owners are extremely positive and welcoming. We were looking for a multi-week non-religious camp and we definitely found it in Camp Champions! As the school year goes on, she tells us more and more great stories about camp. She is excited to return next summer.
My sister went to this camp and hated it. She said it was mismanaged and that camp counselors were unprofessional and unhelpful. She said there were so many children you barely got to enjoy the activities and felt it was sexist because the boys extra time was used to play water balloon fights and when she asked to join in was turned away and said the girls had to make friendship bracelets and that that was not a "girl's activity".
I loved Camp Champions. My Boys loved Camp Champions. Its hard not to buy into the Love. The warmth of staff and your friends that become family each year. After a time your CHILD becomes invested in a future with Camp Champions in it. 9 years, 9 summers the Senior Campers duties. Your child believes he is a part of something. That the Staff. STEVE SIR and his family are a part of your life, Forever. You are loved. Important. Wanted. When your child faces life altering changes and he goes back to camp for refuge and the longing for unconditional love he felt before. Its NOT Real. My child, Your child is a paycheck. A number. All the policy at the end of the day pushes your child away. As if all the words of encouragement, team building, Facing your Fears and learning to Express yourself was in vein. A Lie. You don't measure up anymore. You are broken and tossed aside. The place that you have been programmed to believe in yourself and the people around you LOST. Because FEAR... Shame on you...
