Watery chowder with not a lot of taste and high prices are the main reason for the low rating. Lobster roll was okay, fish and chips was good (lite batter, great fries), definitely had a lot better for less in Nova Scotia.

Nice outdoor deck and a nice view. The food (fish and chips) was just ok considering the lobster pound was next door...I was hoping for fresh fish. Being a local I know what fresh fish tastes like. Should have ordered lobster

Watched the tide come in. I was still full from lunch so we ordered 1 x Lobster mac & cheese to go. All I can say is... I should have ordered 2. Staff are visually busy but not that friendly, not sure if they like working there or were just tired at the end of the day. I do recommend visiting and eating here.

Here s the deal:

Here s the deal:
All the lobsters are pre-sized and divided into fresh tanks while they re alive. You get to pick your lobster (small, medium, large, XL, and Jumbo) (roughly $22-$60) and take them in a bucket to the cookhouse. You can then take your table number to any table and wait for them to bring you your meal. Very fun, very good lobster; however, their fish and chips leave a bit to be desired. Their fries taste a bit like fish as well.

A wonderful experience to eat lobster.

A wonderful experience to eat lobster.

You purchase your meal in the gift shop, in which they pick out the live lobster for you. At that time, you actually walk the lobster to the cooking area and leave it to be prepared.

While waiting for the lobster dinner, you can walk around the dock. We were there at sunset, which may not work depending on the time of year (they close at 8pm).

Lobster we amazing and their local beers were excellent.

Definitely recommend a visit. I arrived as the tide was at its low point, ordered my food, walked down to the floor of the harbour and ocean. By this time I picked up my food and watched the tide come back up

Went there last night with 5 other people to celebrate a birthday. Food was good but one of the meals had a bandage in it. Not what you want to see on your plate. They did bring a new plate and when we mentioned it they comped her meal. Probably won't be back for awhile.

Located in a beautiful little town that is worth a visit, you can eat outside and see the famous Fundy tides go in and out, they have various sizes of lobsters and a nice gift shop. Really nice beach for strolling or combing as well.

First time dining here and we loved it. I had the lobster mac and cheese, SO much lobster! Delicious. My husband had the lobster poutine, also fabulous (I stole some ). Lemon pie for dessert, tangy and fresh, with nice flaky crust. The hamlet of Hall's Harbour is beautiful, the beach is lovely.

Worst service ever, was there in the spring and it was amazing. This time you couldn't get any service, rudest staff ever just totally ignore you. Paid for pound-and-a-half lobster and got a canner. Level of service has certainly deteriorated.

While my parents were down visiting the family, we stopped in here for supper after a long day of travelling and visiting. The staff was very nice and accommodating, and the food was phenomenal. They have fresh lobster ready to eat, and if you're feeling adventurous, try what I did: the lobster poutine!!

Great place to visit, walk down to the water while you wait for your order. Its out of the way but great service and fast. Lobsters can get to over 3 pounds. Had the 2 pound plus and were great. You take take home live or will cook on the spot for you. They have a resto as well if your looking to be served. Definitely worth a stop.

Even if you don't eat there, the ambiance beats all. The general store gift shop has lots to offer and the owners are fun to cart with. Where else can you walk the ocean floor? One of my top 5 life experiences!

Food was terrible. Service was very frantic. Very confusing place. Have to go through a gift shop to order and pay, then thru dining room to find a table and wait for food. Servers were friendly but obviously over worked. My friend threw up what little she ate. I think the food was microwaved...fish was watery and had bones. Rice had many hard dry bits, vegies were like rubber. Four of us ate there, 3 of us were very dissatisfied. Over priced. Only good thing was the view. Perhaps they need a little competition!

Local characteristic and quite funny (you order the gift shop opposite, there they give you lobsters and you personally bring them to the chef who cooks them ...), relaxed and nice atmosphere. Affordable prices, simple menu, very kind staff.

My friend and I had take out here August 16, 2020. Worst fish n chips and fish taco we ever had. Fish was advertised as haddock but tasted like cod.
The chips were not good either. Very disappointing for a seaside restaurant.

Food was very good and fun but the menu was a bit lacking for those who do not eat sea food and it being the only restraunt in the area it would be nice to have options besides macroni and lasagna
