From the EMTS who brought me from Ripley 6 days ago, to the ER staff, a wonderful group of X-ray techs, beautiful, melodic & caring 4th floor nurses/techs (Nadya, Cathy, Brooke, Sammi, Don, Scotty, Sheba, and so many more), and those preparing and delivering meals very impressed. Cannot thank you enough for making a truly traumatic and painful experience, tolerable. Must add my sincere thanks, and gratitude to Dr. Harriott, his PA-C Patrick who had some serious talent closing, his crew, and the cheerful pre-op nurses, for putting me back together. They were all very committed to my care, and did an amazing job doing just that.
Terrible experience waited almost 6 hrs for them to run tests irrelevant to what I was being seen for and sent home like nothing happend what a joke of a Health facility
Went to hospital in ambulance with abdominal pain and bleeding from mouth. After blacking out and falling to floor, knocking front teeth out on coffee table, crawled to reach the phone. After arriving at hospital I was placed in chair in waiting area with 35 possible COVID people, that were well enough to walk through front door. After waiting 3 hours, I held onto wall and went 5 feet to restroom.A man came in and scolded me for getting out of my chair and I had to pee in container he had.He began fondleing me, I pushed him away. He went and got a gaurd saying I threatened him. The gaurd made me leave in the rain, wearing my pj s, barefoot, in pain, I walked 7 miles home.Never seeing a doctor or nurse.I am 62 years old and have never had a good experience at Camden Clark Hospital WVU.
Like anybody has a choice. This is what happens when corporate monopolies take over. They focus on quantity not quality. The nurses seem nice and they do their best. The doctors, if and when you get to see them only have a few minutes for you before they have to treat 30 other patients that hour. I was a fan of St. Joes. CCMH is the McDonalds of medicine. That s just my experience.
Over the past five years we ve had to use Camden Clark for both kids and myself. I wouldn t normally review this, but if you need an appointment expect to wait twice as long as many other hospitals. Believe you me, this is a slow operation. The nursing staff are usually kind and some reputable doctors. But it leaves much to be desired.
Four LONG and miserable hours waiting in emergency room with my son (internal hemorrhaging!) . No progress with a doctor or anything at all. I took him to Marietta, and thank heavens I did! I am speechless as to just how disgusted I am with this disaster of a hospital. There is no excuse for this, or any other every/time I have been shocked at how poorly I or my family/friends have been received or treated. Too many excuses, and too little effort time and time again. It is always the same. We don't know what is is wrong (ever?!), we need more test results, we need another specialist, that specialist is on vacation, there is no specialist available now, we need to send you somewhere else. I swear by God: this hospital has failed me over, and over again. I have never in my life, ever, ever! had anything but a terrible experience at this hospital. Nothing has ever been resolved (save a birth.. but nature took care of that already anyway) or "cured". I have heard so many people say how bad this hospital is, and how they have the exact same problems and experiences. Yet it still exists in some decrepit form or another since before I was born. It is even worse than a decade ago, if you could possibly believe that. I should have been already... but I am now... a lifelong and outspoken enemy. I unapologetically hate this hospital and every evil business sprouted out of its horrid core. Can you believe how many this and that they have spit out? You can't trust them to manage the hospital reasonably well, why would anyone expect anything else they greedily throw together haphazardly to be any better. Yes, I do so loathe this monstrosity we have allowed to fester in our community for so, so long.
Takes 1 person to ruin an otherwise fine experience. This person working in anesthesia during my procedure (colonoscopy) yesterday. She was rude, condescending, accusatory and even threw a jab that my BMI Is high. I followed the instructions I was given PRECISELY and they said nothing about chewing gum (which is what started her meltdown).Nasty from then on. I reminded her about my instructions not addressing this to no avail.
She also said I was late? Not true. As a matter of fact, I had to call the hospital myself to see what time to come the day before.
I have always doctored in Charleston and will be returning.
Everyone else I encountered were professional and nice.
Stuck in Emergency room for over six hours because there are no aidmiting beds. It is currently 11pm and there talking like we may have to wait till discharging time to be seen. Man that ER at Saint Joseph would be nice but CCMC was allowed to kill it's only option in town
