Gede Ruins is a 12th Century Swahili village that was mysteriously abandoned some 600 years ago.

It is now a National Museum, and the ruins are heavily overgrown with beautiful indigenous forest trees, baobabs and tamarind

This historical site is great to visit. The first people you meet after obtaining a ticket are the local guides who expect something small in return for their service. In this light,it's my wish the management of this site should provide detailed written information with adequate signage for guests to tour around the site's features at their own pace/convenience. Nevertheless, it's a beautiful place for photography with a serene ambience.

Gedi, an ancient city in the forest by the coast of Kenya, not just any forest but original forest. Gedi is fascinating and interesting in its architecture and its size for a city in 1400s. Visit Gedi and enjoy trailing around the forest and the cool fresh air of the original forest.

Rich history...staff are very knowledgeable, proffessional n kind.
