Disappointing valentines lunch. Rushed service . Never expected to have the main served while still eating the appetizer. Staff was setting up extra tables for the dinner rush while customers were still having lunch. Too many disruptions. For the price you for lunch this should not happen in a place like this. Very disappointing. Will think twice about going back
A perfect place for a romantic getaway in Cambridge. The food is delicious and the waiters are very friendly.
Wife and I went for our 15 year anniversary. We made reservations for 6:30 however we arrived at 5:30 expecting to sit in the bar area to wait for a window table. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by the most comforting smell of a wood burning fireplace. We were seated right away by the most friendly staff at the perfect window seat. Wait staff is very nice, attentive and they make it personal. They congratulated us on our 15 yr date as the call taker took note of that. Nice touch! The food was ok, we have found that when eating in higher end establishments the menu isn't as varied and rightly so as they can excel at some dishes rather than mediocre at many. We had a couple drinks before dinner and white Russians were made perfect. Ordered a cheese dip as an appy and was SO good. The steak and wine special was ordered this evening and it was OK. Did not like french fries on my plate, it dropped the presentation and value of the dinner considerably. I knew it said frites on the menu but I was expecting some sort of fancy concoction of frites. However the meal was OK. The wine was one of the best whites I have ever had, excellently paired with steak. Dreaming Tree chardonnay. Wait staff was so attentive. They waited and asked if we were ready for our next order rather than just delivering once it is cooked. We never once felt rushed and had a very enjoyable evening even though a family was seated right next to us with children, I was kind of hoping for a quiet intimate dinner but none the less it was still fine. If you go don't worry about a window seat as EVERY seat is great so long as you are not in a larger party than 6. I would recommend to anyone so long as you have been to high end restaurants and know what to expect. (Red Lobster is not high end lol)

I married the love of my life here and recently celebrated our anniversary here too. We fell in love with CM the moment we walked in, the architecture is amazing, the staff are great and the food is fantastic. CM will always be a special place for us.

Phenomenal experience. Every staff member was kind and professional. The food (I had the tenderloin, which was melt in your mouth insanely delicious and my husband had the striploin, also delicious). It is expensive yes, but the service and quality of food is worth it. Possibly the best meal I ve ever had in my life.
Anita, our waitress was exceptional and was very kind towards us.
They also treated us to some sparkling wine because it was our anniversary- how nice!

My husband and I loved Cambridge mills for our wedding venue. From the start they were exceptional with customer service and always came through on what we had envisioned for the day. If there was ever a concern or request it was always able to be openly discussed and worked through in a professional manner. The day off team were exceptional.
Nice environment and view, especially for photos. Food is great.
I've had both brunch and dinner at the mill. Both times I was not disappointed. They have fantastic food and are always improving and changing their menu. It's certainly expensive but for a nice meal out, well worth the money spent. The view over the grand and the service is always great!

I haven't had the opportunity to have a nice dinner in a while and was really looking forward to it. I even had a beauitful girl with me.
We ordered oysters for an appetizer which was okay. It was actually the best part of the meal.
I ordered the 45 dry aged ribeye and she had the prime rib. This is where the dinner gets very disappointing. My steak and her prime rib both tasted like nothing. The vegetables were delicious but when you order a steak or prime rib its not about vegetables.
At this point I guess the manager came over and asked how the dinner was and I told him what I thought about the steak. He did offer if he could get me something else but I was very hungry and ate already what was in front of me.
We ordered some dessert after and it was alright.
They did comp me for one of the deserts.
But this is just a suggestion if the customer tells u the steak isnt very good wouldn't it be a better idea to comp the steak. Im not looking for a hand out but when the steak taste like a 10 dollar steak I can pick up from Zhers and you want me to pay $56 for it thats where the problem is.
Service from the server was good.
Over all our bill was $170 before tip. Im not a rich man and to pay that for a dinner that was unsatisfying kind of sucks. Especially how much I was looking forward to it and how hungry I was I probably wasn't going to be a hard person to please.

Attended a wedding. Although downtown, the setting is gorgeous. Chapel has all glass overlook of the Grand River. Easy accessibility, NC parking very close to chapel and Mi l which is immediately next door. Facilities are modern although true historic building. Three wedding receptions managed easily the day we attended. Food and service were excellent.

It is my first time to be there as I am from Mississauga. I heard about its very nice location on water. It was my 41 years marriage anniversary, so I decided to go there. Yes, it is really excellent location with a very nice water view. The waitress was very nice and professional. The appetizers (mushroom toast and calamari), drinks and deserts (lemon tart and chocolate pave) were more than great. However, the steak in the main course was not good at all. There was 3 grades in the menu hanger steak $29, striploin $38 and ribeye $54). I have chosen the striploin. So avoid eating steak there or try the ribeye. If the steak was good, I will definitely give 5 stars.
Have mixed reviews on this based on a number of experiences. But overall, they've been a 5 star. The food is the BEST that money can get you, no questions about that. Note that I only come here for weekend/holiday dinners!! I can vouch for their food.
Wonderful views of the Grand River and amazing ambience within. Kate, our server was well informed and provided excellent service. Meals were well plated and delicious. It was well worth the price.

One of the nicest places I have been for dinner in my life. Excellent service, the waiter and other staff exceeded my expectations 10 fold. Made a reservation for an engagement dinner and they treated us with one of the best views of the river in the restaurant and served us champagne. I am definitely going back there soon!

Great venue with view of Grand River. Lots of parking & food was good. A bit uptight with their rules (no clanking of glasses) but all in all good place.
Food tastes awesome! My mom can't handle too much salt, so she couldn't have the stark that they brought her. They prepared a whole new dish and the manager saw to it that she got a house salad on the house and made sure she enjoyed her meal. A++ service and awesome establishment.

Excellent fresh, local food that's beautifully presented. Our server, Shawna, was impeccable and gracious. She was patient and attentive as my friend and I took our time getting caught up. The setting is stunning. Definitely a go-to venue for special occasions. And even though there were 2-3 weddings occurring/setting up at the same time as our lunch, our service was in no way impacted.
Highly recommend and will definitely visit again! Worth the drive from Toronto.

Phenomenal! Loved everything from the atmosphere to service and don't get me started on the food! Drooling as I write this and remember the delicious food we ate. The bar was so nice with the live music as well.

The Cambridge Mill was amazing to deal with from start to finish. We had a very short engagement Dec 23/18-April 27/19 so we didn't have a lot of time to plan the wedding of our dreams. The Mill made the entire process enjoyable, stress free and absolutely perfect. Everyone who attended (140 guests) LOVED the food, LOVED the atmosphere and loved everything about the day. The ceremony space is beautiful, photo locations are gorgeous and the team who works with you throughout the planning process all the way though to the day of the wedding is second to none. Amazing Job done by the Cambridge Mill, we will look forward to any event we attend there in the future. Thank you!!!
Came here for the first time for my girlfriends 25th birthday and not only was the whole restaurant and view beautiful but the food was delicious and the service was incredible. Even had our servers switched about halfway through dinner and it was still great service.

I've gone here recently for several occasions birthdays anniversaries as well as just some nights out. The food is always very good well seasoned and cooked properly to order. The service is always very accommodating and servers are very nice and everything is quick getting on the kitchen to the table highly recommend this eating establishment not only for special occasions but even if you're just looking for high-quality food the prices are fairly affordable.

We had our wedding here at the end of May 2019. It really was an amazing day. The planning process was easy because they take care of the majority of things that you would need to do at many other venues, which was exactly what we wanted. Most importantly, the food was AMAZING!!

The food is always amazing here. We have been to the restaurant for New Years Eve and we re really impressed. The sorbet was also phenomenal.
The view here is also lovely. Right in the river and lots of glass windows to look out.

So where to begin: You get what you pay for, and this is exactly what we got for our wedding. The Mill is first class 100%. You will be taken care of no doubt. Our special event consultant, Amanda, was super pleasant and on the ball all the time. And our day-of coordinator, Jenna, was the bomb, literally the best, that girl deserves a raise.
Okay so let s talk the food: WOW, beef tenderloin, poutine bar, hors d oeuvres, salad, drinks, everything was delicious. Highly recommend paying the extra to add shots and doubles.
The landscape, speaks for itself, like out of a story book, the pictures are amazing. The Falls Room is beautiful and overlooks the river.
The service was fast and helpful, the only, only complaint was the wine poor was a little slow during dinner, otherwise everything was perfect.

Just left this place. Was here for anniversary. Requested a water view table but did not get it. Even though when we were walking in, I could see empty seats with water view. Also, nothing special about this place if you want to celebrate your anniversary or such special occasion. I could see in previous reviews they offered atleast cake for people who were there for special occasion or as such. Looks like they are just trying to cut their budget with mediocre service. I travelled an hour to visit this place. Would I come here again? Hell no. There are better places out there who care about their customers and atleast try to go above and beyond. 2 stars only because the food was not mediocre like the overall place and customer service itself.
I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. I visit Elora mill, Ancaster mill as well as Spencer's. I live in Cambridge and unfortunately out of all of them I find the menu in Cambridge mill the least appealing! I go there for atmosphere because I generally struggle with the menu. Service is also just ok in this one. Ancaster mill is my favorite, followed by Ellora mill and I absolutely love the patio in a summer at Spencer's!
The best mashed potatoes, full stop. Friendly, knowledgeable professional restaurant staff who take service to the next level. Loved my dinner here!!!

Was surprised by the high quality of the food served at a large event. The service was also very good. The location is visually dramatic. I'd have no hesitation in booking there again.
