They gave me a chance. They granted my parole after 36-years. I finally started doing what I should have been doing from day 1. I hit chino in June of 82. At age 17. I got my GED. I became an X-Ray Tech.. A Certified Optician. A Costomer Service Specialist. Only when I did what Society expected of me, did they see I was no longer a threat to Society, but a potential contributor. I have been out two years now. I work hard, pay taxes, and live my life with a sense of Cleanliness and Gratitude. I hope that the CDCR find me also eligible to be released from parole. Our lives are what we make of them. It is not on CDCR why I did 36-years. It was my own actions and choices. I was given every opportunity to make right what was wrong in my life. I finally had the appropriate epiphany. They know what they are doing. Their responsibility to protect Society is immeasurable. Do not judge them harshly. They see every day, the best, and the worst a person can be. Sometimes that call is easy to make. Sometimes it is difficult. Political and Economic issues aside, Public Safety, and Respect for the Victims in the Inmates they have to make judgements on can not be second guessed inless a clear violation of their rights can be presented to our court system. Nothing is perfect, but it is the ststem we have. And it works.

There is no rehabilitation. My son was in Calif city for 13 months, repeatedly asked for anger mgt and domestic violence classes and was told they are not available or you are on a waiting list, for 13 mos. He later found a self help program "Gogi", I checked it out was going to order the books and he found out he was going to fire camp. I talked to Coach Taylor, she is in charge of it and told me at Calif city they are on a grant program and Gogi is free for all and my son was told its not available there.. he has been denied classes and self help for 13 mos then was denied parole because he didnt take the classes. Total BS. They do whatever they can to keep prisons full. I have sent 2 letters to them, no response. Dont know if I should contact ACLU or who

Hello ...I have been a prison wife for 11 yrs. in oct.2017 it make 12 yrs. for me being a prison wife ...I m not writing this to judge CDCR or its inmates but my husband has been under CDCR thumb for almost 20 yrs. and this is not his first time of incarceration ...he has been in and out since age 15 ... I say this to show that I dont think of these guys (CDCR) as babysitters too wipe one of there inmates noises when they decide to snot ...these are grown men who have made their own choices in life ...maybe before they stuck up ...killed ...burned beat or stabbed or whatever crime they choose to do if they would have thought too themselves ...man after I do this offense if I get caught will they give me air condition cell will they transfer me to another facility without my permission? will this be a hardship on my wife and family if I have one ...CDCR is needed and they employ men and women who are sworn to do what they can to help ... now if an single employee is a butt ... dont take it out on CDCR these people that are a vast member of CDCR have lives, families too... have I been through it with CDCR? yes ...do I like every choice they make for my husband? ... no! but over all since I have with my husband behind prison walls since 2007 till now 2017 ... with anywhere from 1 to 3 yrs left on his time to serve CDCR is who I have to deal with and respect ...so I have in the pass and I will continue to do the same my husband has been transferred out of state twice and transferred several times to other facilities and is getting ready to be transferred again on

wednesday 07.19.17 and yes I am a rider so I do follow him ... the officers are kind to me and if I get one that is not so friendly I just offer them a smile ...people please believe me when I say they have a tough and very dangerous job but they do the best they can to keep everyone safe ...in my closing in 2007 when I decided to get with this man behind bars I met him through pen -pal writings of letters ...well I told myself then this is gonna be difficult ...an I will always need too remember as I journey on this trip ... CDCR is a California Department Of Corrections ... not Disney land ... nor are they Burger king ... so more than likely ...you will not have it your way... but I decided to go for the ride ... till my husband comes home and that day is getting closer but he was worth every minute and is the best man I every had thank you CDCR

Wonderful Public relations campaigns that attempt ...

Wonderful Public relations campaigns that attempt to conceal the fact that CDCR is one of the biggest players in the "modern american slave markets"; where people become property to be marketed and exploited for the benefit of the would-be ruling class.
The 13th Amendment ALLOWS slavery as a form of punishment.
Over 80% of all criminal cases are resolved by plea bargain "contracts" that are invalid, under contract law, because of the duress and menace that PREVENTS voluntary consent by the accused.
And CDCR sits back and rolls in the money, while offering "wonderful" jobs for some, at the expense of those convicted, and their families.
Plus, adding the "Rehabilitaion" designation is like trying to call a pig a chicken when you KNOW it aint gonna lay eggs!!!
Unfortunately there are ALOT of decent people who work at CDCR who start believing the Propoganda in order to feel "okay" about their pay checks. In many ways, they too become imprisoned within their mental cages. Yet who knows how many of THEM will ever find release?

Unbelievably corrupt organization that keeps people decades past their release dates for pure financial gain. Complete unnecessary drain on the State's resources and can easily be run on half the money, not 13 billion dollars a year. What a joke.

I give it no stars, prisons are prisons. If you have a loved one in one you know there's no rehab, they've pulled my son out of a few good educations classes he's been taking just to transfer on the spur of the moment to another place. No rehab - only money. Keep as many in so the c/o's can get more overtime and stay on their power trip!!

I hate to give a bad review. I been coming here for over 20 years. Last time I found a hair in my pasta and when I complained the server acted like I'd insulted her personally and called security on me. I didn't leave a tip. Possibly a man dressed as a woman? Not sure. I may go elsewhere next time. This Hotel is okay but the connected restaurant has gone down hill over the years. Would not recommend.

This report is prior to a review of the C D C R ! I'm trying to raise awareness to the deadly crimes perpetrated at the California Medical Facility, Vacaville, California. against inmate Damon Franklin. #AG4300 M-3-320 California Medical Facility, Vacaville, California. The only reason that I'm able to report the following is because, some of the personnel are not in agreement with the inhumanity witnessed. Falsified records & Undocumented surgery, leaving a STINT in his head. Why?...in order to declare him Mentally Incapable & to reward themselves with more than $43,000 of his money that has been (conveniently) misplaced for more than 8 months, signed for and legally in their hands upon his demise or Mental Declaration of Incompetence. Make note of the (witnessed) Daily Beatings_leaving him 3 broken ribs with cameras off and no "outside" or unconnected medical exams to bring question. In Other Words...He is dying!! His death is well planned & imminent. I'm not talking about a Rapist or Murderer. Even in his depleting physical health, due to the convenience of (modified) Lock-down, he hasn't been allowed a "contact" visit, as though he could or would be a danger to his relatives. Until a serious investigation into the (well oiled) corruption at the California Medical Facility of Vacaville CA. is conducted by Internal Affairs, I'll hold my quality review opinion of the C D C R . If I'm wrong about a single detail, I'll gladly apologize Thank You!
