Enjoyed the grey cup festival weekend, great live music and free Tim Hortons so not to much to complain about.
Stampede is a great yearly event that takes place in Calgary. Theres something for everyone. However it is pricy for what it's worth.
I really liked the Stampede. It was like a huge rodeo and farm show rolled into obe. I highly recommend going.
It's the home of the Calgary Stampede and the Half A Mile Of Hell Chuck wagon races
Great events space. Draws huge crowds alway. Security and staff is awesome. Always a fun time when there is something going on. Worth visiting when there is an event happening!
The Stampede is it tradition in the City of Calgary. It is known around the world. It offers the Midway for all the rides that your stomach can stand. food of every kind, and of course through the afternoon the incredible Rodeo action. In the evening you have the Chuck Wagon races which have been an absolute crowd pleaser since they started. Then you have the grandstand show with the young Canadians. Don't let anyone tell you different, the Calgary exhibition in Stampede with its rodeo and Chuckwagon races and all the rest are fabulous entertainment and a great place for the family.
One of the greater experiences of my life. A truly electrifying atmosphere. These events such as the Chuck Wagon races, rodeo, ect may not be for everyone. There are, unfortunately accidents during these races and events that can be very difficult to watch. Be weary when bringing sensitive children. Otherwise, the Calgary Stampede is truly "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth". If you can handle crowds and sometimes stifling heat as this event takes place in early July with holding temperatures in the past years reaching 30 C (86 F). Stay hydrated, make time for busy transit and large crowds. Don't forget your cowboy/girl outfit! Enjoy!
Usually way cooler rides, but this year there was just one and you have to use your own car. Then they shove a swab down your throat.
Great place. However, let's put up some canopies to protect from the sun.... It's too hot to comfortably drink beer on the grounds (especially given the price of tickets).
Arrived at park early. Was ushered to lineup for free coffee and muffins!! So welcoming!! Then enjoyed a day of rides, games, exhibits, eating g great and some unusual foods. The Stampede is amazing.
Expensive for poor quality food, not many places to sit & eat or rest. $4.00 for a small bottle of water. $25.00 to park.
Bought the super pass before the event started as sales end at the time. You can go everyday for only $40. Well worth it as one day pass is $18/per day. Check out the bull riding beer tent. Lots of Fair rides and games. Shopping, different music shows and Stampede events. You can also check out the Horses, Cows, Llamas and Alpacas too. Lots of exhibits and don't forget to watch the fireworks every night at 11 pm for all 10 days of the stampede. They also have free admission hours during about three days of the event so check out the stampede online website for more info. Also a free outdoor show marching/dancing band that often plays thriller and other popular hits. Super fun to wear your Coboy hat and boots!
Haven't been able to afford stampede for almost a decade now. While in this ongoing hostage scenario, enjoyment has been removed. Not seeing an end in site.
Sorry to say this but the park is very boring. Very few food, game and ride choices. Overpriced too. As a special event like stampede, it has less attractions, facilities and such compared to a small park on a regular daily basis in Asia.
I'm sure if you like big crowds and having to spend huge amounts of money then the stampede is for you.
Stampede is fun. Fresh cooked food live entertainment games and rides. You should not miss the Rodeo though. And why not try some luck at the horse race?
I really enjoyed the stampede this year, it was a lot of fun
A Five amazing place every yeat. You git ut all
Only drawback ao damn expensive. Food and lineupa are crazy!
Love love live this place so much to do so much to see come on dowm
In many ways, Calgary citizens feel that this is the center point or Hub of Calgary. City council still hasn't found a way to destroy it just yet. It is an absolutely wonderful venue and I would encourage everybody to take it in irregardless of whether you enjoyed Rodeo or not.
The Stampede is nothing spectacular. The exact same as any other Exhibition. Also it was a huge cash grab! $4 for a 500ml bottle of anything. Large men & women not able to go on most of the rides. It was very mediocre. I actually had zero fun!!
Must visit at least once in your lifetime!!!! It is an experience you will never forget!
Best place on earth. Bring lots of cash and you won't be disappointed
Calgary Stampede fiesta
The greatest summer ever in Western Canada.
If I wasn't paid to work the Stampede I doubt I would ever go.
I love calgary stampede, you can get fresh food and also i love their rides and mini-donuts.
Place all must visit but is quite expensive. They should reduce price
Lots to do here! From conventions to concerts to of course... the stampede! Lots of exciting events and shows. Some parking down at the park and there is lots around the area during events and games, but be prepared to pay. There are also 2 c-train stations near by that you can easily walk from or now... scooter! Have fun!
Best festival wear a collared shirt or you will regret it
Attended the RV show which was great. 15 bucks to park seems excessive though.
Visited the park during the Stampede. Very crowded, but what an amazing experience.
