Small and cute airport.. Easy to find places.. not at all confusing.. I like their art display in the airport and also the mini falls towards the back.. Friendly staffs..
I bought duty free hot sauce in Cancun which Calgary airport would not let me carry on my connecting domestic flight. They seized it from me, but instead of throwing it in their seizure garbage, the bleach blonde TSA agent gave it to a slick looking blonde kid in a suit jacket (I think he was just a guarda(??) security guard, looking at his ID). The kid put it in a little cabinet. These damn border people are going to use my hot sauce, no doubt.
Air Canada, bravo!! I am surprised how well my last trip was. The crew on the planes outshined Westjet with their smiles. I felt like the staff were unbelievable at every interaction. Started with the guy at the initial check-in, all the way through to disembarking... every staff member was happy and wonderful. Air Canada, well done. Now just work on your prices around Christmas... Cheers
Waiting for luggage after landing from an international flight. Our flight has landed and the luggage still hasn't arrived after 1 hour. Nice new airport but is there anyone working processing baggage? If I could give less than 1 star I would have chosen that!
Beautiful, the front desk personels does awesomely they are customer oriented .
I watch the planes come and go it's got good places to see them
Nice airport and easy in and out. A little complicated going through customs but not at all bad. Very efficient and well run airport. The concourse we went to had adequate food and even a couple of shops. But no United Club! It took us only 30 min from curb to gate even checking luggage!
One of the neatest airports I've seen to date. Their inter-terminal shuttle service is definitely to be tried. The drivers were very friendly and funny. Great ride.
There are times when the airport is quite empty as well (our return was on a Sunday night of a long weekend). There are many restaurants and cafes to hang out. Mostly, for vegans, the place to go will be either Starbucks or Jugo Juice. If nothing, there are many sofas (besides the seats next to the gates) facing the air crafts which is a great sight in itself.
Not many shopping , restaurant to choose. Very friendly service
Japan's large regional airport level. A gateway to the beautiful and famous tourist destination Banff. Oil is being mined nearby
I dread flying out of this airport always delayed lots of walking and if there s layovers nothing to do I always try to fly to Edmonton but it s hard to do for a updated airport They failed
Clean! Not a ton of food options but there's enough there for a short (2 hour~ layover).
Even though it is a small city, the airport is still big and clean.
Always a great experience flying from here. Kept clean and tidy and a Tim Hortons is always near. They have put in new precautions but everything still runs smoothly.
Needs a P.A. system and washrooms from this decade.
Nice airport for layover flights from Vancouver. Comfortable amenities to pass the time.
Great new terminal! Some people are just being whiners...
Great sleek design, and really clean as well. Restaurant selection was much improved, and the computerized customs system is a breeze. Great job!!
I really like this airport. It's clean, relatively modern, and the people in the white cowboy hats are super helpful if you have questions. Lots of Tim Hortons in the YYC.
I feel embarrassed for the old people walking around throughout the year wearing stampede gear cowboy hat and everything. Honestly embarrassing for Calgary. Place is really run down and dirty with very small food selection. Cant expect much though, its Canada.
Airport and facilities all looked good. But for a parking of one hour they charged me $25 which is insane
The new part of the airport looks great and had no trouble getting to our gate
Well kept
Friendly staff
Helpful customer service
Very small airport, there are not many shops inside, there are few things!
If you're looking for a suitcase, Mac's convenience store is next door. You can buy a bus ticket to downtown Calgary, but airport convenience store staff is famous for making the wrong calculation. In fact, when it comes to things, you must buy receipts, buy prices and change! Please confirm it. I did not get $ 9, but I told this information to the Information Center and I told them not to worry. For reference, the bus ticket disposable is $ 3.30 and the free pass for the day is $ 10.50. If you take the bus more than 3 times during the day
Overzealous self flushing toilets that waste incredible amounts of water. And they need to dial back on the cowboys and Indians in this day and age of reconciliation.

Better than Pearson! (Not that that's a compliment).
Very friendly and polite airport staff. Went out of their way to be helpful
One of the best airports I've been to. Lots of selection, makes layovers no big deal!
The new international terminal opened October 2016. Fairly new facility but already there are lot potholes and cracks on the ramp. As a worker here I can say the airport especially the international terminal is poorly built
Chaotic poorly organised airport , bad parking still can t get it right with the new terminal.
Was only briefly passing through to a connecting international flight. I had no problems.
No amount of helpful staff and welcoming hosts can hide the fact that border control at YYC is hopeless. Waited 20 minutes with no Border Agency staff to clear foreign passport holders. Avoid. Enter Canada through another airport, where you might feel more welcome
Not so great seating and dining places. Pretty confusing gates and constantly changing flight gates for domestic flights.
Seems outdated. Really needs an overhaul considering its one of the biggest airports in Canada
Very fast security checks especially in the international terminal in the evening, like that!
a lot of places to charge phones and food options are good
Pretty solid airport in terms of amenities and overall convenience. This airport's temperature control facility is so on point that you don't really notice how harsh the outside weather can be until you step out. Arrival and departure services are adequate and I've never had any bad experience flying in or out.
My only gripe - Calgary remains a car-centric city, just like many in North America, so you won't find any reliable and frequent public transportation service from the airport to the city.
While my plane was landing at the Calgary international airport, the captain announced that this airport is the third busiest in Canada. I was expecting it to be atleast half the size of the Toronto Pearson airport. Sadly this airport is half the size of any small domestic airport in the United States. One terminal, one main exit and couple places to get food.
This is a very nice airport. They have renovated the airport and it is quite beautiful and very nice. The only downside is the Terminal A for domestic airport, it still needs alot of facelift.
I also slept over at the airport and they have comfortable leather seats that you can sleep on close to the international arrival......
Gatwick sure knows the important stuff and the pic of the water fountain is actually at the Calgary airport but there are NO signs anywhere saying where these are (or the toilets either...) Also the automated customs machines there are different from the ones at other airports but, just like those, are not very easy to navigate and still slow things down rather than speeding them up, as desired.
You have to show your passport and both the previous and the next boarding passes to real people several times and there are no signs informing those in the queue what is going to be asked for. We were also unable to log in to the airport WiFi because some devices complained that it was insecure. Yikes!
Pluses are the shuttles with friendly and informative drivers that cover the huge distances between gates. One customs person out of three was very helpful and friendly, the others not so much.
Good service by friendly and courteous staff. Airport security is very secure and security cameras and guards can be seen around the airport.
Solid wifi signal even after boarding. Kudos to airport IT!
I had two layovers there I found the sercurty personal too be very rude I had problems both times with the boarder agents one did not even know there own process for ETA's and the other was just plain rude. Had too go thou 5 check points just too return too the US
I quite like our airport, especially now that they have Calgary's only Chik-Fil-A!!
The line ups at Starbucks and Tim Hortons are insane. Hire some staff, open more services. I checked in 1.5 hours early I couldn t even get a coffee let alone something to eat. Terrible service by an airport who is screaming for customers!
got to be the nicest people on this planet. always very helpful at this airport.
Very few places to buy food. Many many self-important knuckleheads walking around not wearing masks and nobody except Westjet enforcing it. You decide.
I've been impressed by this airport. very small normal airport and very slow on everything. Parking is expensive just like any other places in Calgary. Good things about this airport are really friendly senior people who I believe working as volunteer, and the location. it is almost inside the city and we don't have to have an hour drive to be there.
The good: friendly staff, easy check in
The bad; going from international to domestic is about as bad as it gets. Get some good shoes because it s a long trek...and even worse with all the construction.
Easy to get around, international terminal is bland
Food is pretty decent and airport trips always go pretty smoothly . Not much more you can expect from an airport !
This airport has very quick security lines with updated boxes/line system. The airport is spotless and has the fastest free wifi that I've ever used! One staff member actually walked me across the airport to show me where the best food options were!! I have to come visit Canada more haha. Enjoy!
Very quick, efficient, clean and friendly atmosphere.
The kindness of the airport staff and excellent airport sculptures are a lot.
Didnt print my boarding pass when I checked in the kiosk
Very smooth going through the airport everyone very helpful
I was so disappointed... I asked so many workers how to find my leggage and I got no help 45 mins later finally a nice lady that helped... But because of this I had to walk 3 hours to were I was going because the bus no longer ran and we had a baby with no carseat to take a cab...
beautiful mountain views while flying in and a nice new airport with friendly staff that shlep you around in golf carts. ok enjoyed my visit there. the kids play area was one of the best ive seen in an airport.
I wasn't impressed with my breakfast sandwich from Tim hortons and the lady could have smiled.
Very serviceable mid-size airport. Good traffic and people flow, ample parking, orderly taxi lines, relatively short lines for customs and security most days, free baggage carts. Biggest complaint is lack of Global Entry terminals but that should be fixed soon with the International Terminal which is almost complete and should boost its appeal further.
Terrible international connections. For brand new reno, its a disappointing airport.
best thing they have is first 30 min parking for free, good for pick up friends and family.
Airport clean and felt safe departing and arriving. Masks enforced so happy to see that. Only concern is it really is a long hike from some gates to the baggage claim area.
Nice domestic terminal, love how all the WestJet flights are area of the terminal. It was a nice short walk from the gate to the food court where we had a bite to eat before catching our next flight through the Ground Gates (A01 - A06) Overall a nice airport with free Wi-Fi for passengers
The most amazing people, i was 15 min late to check in, but got rushed through and made my flight. Came from Vancouver to consider moving here, this just made my decision. The rest of the evening could have easily been ruined, but anisa saved it
I travelled through the airport connecting from Abbotsford through to Saskatoon. I came through the lower level gates A1 to A5. In a word this area reminds me of an outdoor parkade with concrete floors and exposed wiring trays. There is also an obvious smell of dust and dirt being stirred up when people walk. I went on the airport website to see if this area was temporary until something else is built. It looks like this is permanent. Well Calgary, you can do better. This area is bad.
After the renovations, the Calgary international airport is so much better. The food options, directions, ambiance - it s all very comfortable and familiar-feeling. There is even busking with very talented musicians like this guy. Anyone know his name?
Probably the worst airport in Canada for Wifi! Once you re logged in, and you move around the airport or sitting in the same spot you ll get kicked out of the YYC wifi and switched over to Shawopen! Very frustrating!!
The new addition to the airport is a joke! They spend over 2 Billion dollars to have the new addition and it was designed by a guy who only designs shopping malls. To walk from the counter to the aircraft is herrondus!
