Very interesting to see mark Twains book come to life
Knowledgeable employees make it easy to guide recreational activities, directions, and general information
The staff are Extremely knowledgeable & Want to teach/share! I took full advantage of that & learned as much as I could. This place is history & nature & I find both fascinating! There's also a lovely gift shop that can get one in trouble, by spending too much, but it goes to support the park.
The staff even though it is small are very nice and congenial. When they get busy they still try to help everyone. Very knowledgeable of the area and they are also great with businesses and associations. I highly recommend visiting the Calaveras Visitors Bureau prior two taking in the California Gold Country. You can ask for Sandra and tell her Nolan sent you.
It was at night time to get see anything has where my buddy wanted to meet up and buy a truck off somebody so I can't really give it any review
When the signs said rest area, I thought it would have been a regular rest area like everywhere else. I was wrong, the signs took me for a drive through downtown ending up here, at night. I have to say, the bathrooms we're pretty clean, although the parking was somewhat lacking.
Cozy, informative site: just what you need from a visitor center. Very helpful staff. Always leave here with a smile.
Lovely and helpful, from where the farmers' market is to a good taco!
CLOSED FOREVER AS OF 11/01/20 - Cute little visitors center, with a cute little shop in a cute little town. Oh ya and clean 24 hour restrooms.
Has tons of brochures for all the stuff to do. Unfortunately it was closed this time
The staff was not very helpful or knowledgeable about the area and I felt as though I was "bothering" them with my questions.
Good place to stop and stretch your legs as your cruzing 49. Angel's Camp has a easy welling tour that you can refresh yourself with a handmade ice cream or something a little stronger.
Nice center. Gift shop had cute stuffed animals and children's books.
Great info about the area. Clean restrooms. Picnic tables.
The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.
You can get some good info on where to go and history of the area
Jordan was very helpful. If you've never been to the area before, stop by for friendly suggestions and great hiking spots.
Tourist info and jumping frog souvenirs. Clean bathrooms and fresh water for fur babies.
Mediocre, bathrooms are gross and the front desk could be more welcoming.
Nice visitors center with lots of brochures and some souvenirs. The woman working the counter was very nice and knew quite allot about the local history.
Enjoyed attending the Farmer's Market in their new location; fairly easy to find parking, and it was nice to see friends from a distance.
The service staff here is very good, and there are special souvenirs. It is a pity that the first day of the angel camp is the last day of the end of the jumping frog contest, where the information of Calaveras State Park is known.
Very helpful and knowledge and friendly. Good handouts.
Great friendly people with tons of info. Great store too.
Snowed the night before, was very beautiful and peaceful to walk among the Giants of the Forest.
