Easy to find..easy to park.... food vendors and amenities on site

Saw the commonwealth games basketball matches here. Easy to get to in town, all the facilities were good, prices for drinks and food acceptable

its ok... not exactly world class. cairns really needs a big convention cente.

Good place to go to play basketball!
There are a lot of expositions, but the nature of Cairns does not have such a big or flashy information.

Massive place, good for basketball games, and to host large events

For a small town it's a wonderful facility. However the design is definitely not user friendly/intuitive. One could spend 30 minutes trying to find the carpark and more looking for a pay station.

Always a great atmosphere for any event, especially cheering on the Taipans

Orange Army!!! Fantastic venue for the Basketball.

Would not let me in with a backpack with a packet of chips when I told the Security at the gate one packet of chips was not a security risk? The security then told me the event organisers don't want any king of food bought into convention centre I said why not? The security said so they can make money out of people by selling food to them! I refused to go in saying this is an outright SCAM! By targeting people coming to see a Basketball Games! Then selling them massively overpriced food to their captive audience! What a Scam! Not sure how people put up with being Fleeced like this!

Been there for friend's graduation ceremony organised by JCY. was extermely cold there. Air con was killing everyone. Nice place...

Didn't realize how big it was as i have never been there before we went to the biggest sign on day it was fairly busy

Big, clean and well architectured convention center that holds a variety of functions.

Great facility. Nice and modern with some good multi use spaces.

Went for the Florida Georgia Line concert. Bundy rum (the main spirit) ran out 10 mins after the 1st artist started. ALL drinks had run out before 3/4 through the show. Very very poorly organised considering that the same concert the night before they also ran out of rum and it wasnt a sell out crowd as the 2nd night was. A lot of people very unimpressed.

Great meeting venues for all sized groups with excellent kitchen and about to expand significantly to add more flexibility for events.

I was there on a World Polymer Congress last year. Place is huge and seems to be the best place for such a big conference.

Decent conv. Centre on terms of space, aesthetic etc. Two points let it down a little: 1. Wifi connection is poor at best 2. Tech problems were pervasive throughout 3 day conference. Overall a good location.

Outstanding facilities, clean and spacious with stage visible from all seating areas. Multiple entries, minimal ques and waiting time. Awesome ventilation and sound.

Impressive. Amazing not 1 LED light...bit behind the times. Otherwise super venue.

Hopeless place, they couldn't explain nor usher you to your seating, not impressed with expensive food, had a handicapped son with me, too dangerous to be climbing, twisting, winding to seats. No repeat visits for us

Great Centre to hold a large Convention - Facilities are huge and staff were well trained and friendly. Bathroom facilities were ample and the food was suitable. Plenty of accommodation nearby for large conventions. Ours had around 600 delegates at it

Well laid out. Very central. Staff were helpful. Well appointed and flexible training rooms. All around great place for a conference. Trouble is , how many conferences can you have? Not something for the average Joe.

Went to the Special Children's Christmas Party. Had wonderful time

Good sized venue. DESPERATELY needs two big screens at either end for live replays and to get the crowd into the action.

Came here to see comedian Carl Barron. Sold out venue. Parking near the venue was easy to find, and free. Although the lines on the ground floor for snacks and drinks were a little long, upstairs there was no line. Seating was reasonably comfortable. I don't recommend seats J102-103 or around that area, because there is a large piece of metal hanging from the ceiling on both sides which obstructs your view of the screens. Wish I had of known this before. Otherwise sound was great and the atmosphere made it a really enjoyable experience.

Already an outstanding venue but about to get better with new extensions and recent budget allocation to cover costs - this amazing venue an asset to Cairns can only get better !

The food is a disgrace. $4.40 for a bottle of water is robbery. Time for an overhaul of food and beverages at sporting events. No wonder we are an obese society.

Went for schools awards. It was clean lots of room and plenty of parking.
