Rogich administrators are good. For example, I was once attacked by another student, and within the hour the student was sent home and got a suspension for one week. I also believe that the administrators are somewhat aware of what is going around in the school. However there is a much darker side to the school, I feel that some of the teacher just care about the paycheck and just think about themselves in the class. Teachers sometimes post something on classroom and just tell us to do it. One of my teacher probably has no idea what he is teaching, as he always just gets another student to provide help when needed. I do have some good teachers like Ms. Lambeth, who allowed me to come to her class during lunch for extra help. I really don't get that much homework. The biggest offender to that is my geo class, but we have time to do that in class. In conclusion, I believe that the teachers are very good, but 25% of your classes will have bad teacher. I would also like to add that I get called up to the office 4 times "just so the office can make sure" about something. I felt pretty annoyed about it.

Overall this school is the best and is great with working for to strive in your studies. Rogich Middle School is also great for after school activities like basketball, cheer, dance, and baking class. The teachers help you understand the concept of the lesson they are teaching you. Like my math teacher Mrs. Arai would help you before school and after school. The teachers and staff are really a great big help to the students and the whole school. I can't wait for the next two years that I have with my rough rider community.

Girl committed suicide. She attended this school, and allegedly, she was bullied in school. No one did anything about it, apparently. What a shame. This school is terrible.

Sig Rogich has had kids who have taken their life or died. They'll say "This is terrible" to make it seem like they care. They'll mourn for a day. Then they'll continue letting the high and mighty kids get their way and not really bully kids, because they know that if you make fun of someone twice it would be considered bullying. So they say something mean once, and it just kind of follows you.

I'm from the other side of town and not the most feminine, so if you're somewhat like me, the well to do and goody two shoes students will shun you. Sometimes when you get to hear them, you can tell they've really narrowed it down. They'll pin point the exact thing you're insecure about.

Once, my friend and I were talking and this popular girl sits next to us. My friend and I were laughing about something stupid and the girl, who sat next to US, told us to shut up or move. We said no because she chose to sit next to us ( rogich has made me tired of being a sheep and taking orders without asking questions) and we said that there are lots of other spots for her to sit and she didn't have to sit directly next to us (mind you this is off of school grounds. We're at the rec center after school, and sitting in front and the place is practically empty.) . She then proceeded ugly losers and we were worthless. Now, if you're like me and going into rogich, the proper way to handle this situation is to laugh and walk away. You really DO NOT want beef with the popular kids because they are relentless brats. So just laugh and walk away. My friend and I sat inside on a couch and continued talking. The girl then followed us behind sticking her ass out to emphasize it and giving us the stink eye. My friend and I held our breaths (because if you insult them back you're only stooping down to their level) and continued laughing about whatever we were talking about. She walks into a room and when she comes back, she's with her taller friend who apologizes for her. The girl is still giving us the stink eye and she's like.. holding a stance. Like god damn regina george. We accepted the apology and they walked away.

Long story short, Sig Rogich will only be good to you if you are smart, pretty, and ignorant about "lesser" people's lives.

They are charging students who left their papers with vandalism. at the most, they should have a verbal warning from a judge. i am afraid that the principal will see this but i have to speak up on behalf of me and my fellow students for once. this has been the worst year of my short life so far, and the principal's authoritarian ways have me fed up. she is going out of her way to get every single student in trouble and all of my friends and their friends are scared, even if they didn't do anything. they are afraid she will give the police their names on the last day of school (today) and knock on their doors and arrest them for vandalism. we are scared. i love learning, but this school has made me hate it. i never want to see that school ever again.

This school was allegedly one of the worst schools i've ever went to. In my live, i have moved over 5 times and attended over 6 schools. For sure, this is the hands down worst school i have went to. Pretty fun school, the deans take reports and bullying extremely seriously and most of the teachers are great and actually care about your education. I went there all three years of middle school and the only complaint I have is that the food that isn't served at the Student Store is terrible.

my son was reporting a bullying incident that happened inside the boy's restroom but the teacher's reply was *i did not see it!"... nothing happened...

that my son wanted to sleep in class..my son said he was tired and had a headche so he tried to lay his head down on his table but got reprimanded and detention for *unacceptable behavior and interrupting class*... asked her if she knew my son's situation as he is with special ed since he started school so he has a condition which explains the brain tiredness... also told her to allow my son to go to the restroom if he needs to ... her response doesn't sound like she cares anyways...

really contemplating of reporting all of this incidents to ccsd...action needs to be done...don't went my son to end up helpless, frustrated and depressed just because of this teacher...

I am absolutely sick and tired of this school. There are so many bullies at this school and I am tired of it. There are too many kids in each class and it is overcrowded. I dislike this school to a whole other level. I would give it a 0 star if I could.

This school is insane. From teachers who don't respond to problems and tell you to "sit down" and teachers who take earbuds for no reason. The school gives you an RPC for everytime you are late, which makes no sense considering the fact that the school is completely over crowded to the point where you can barely even get through the hallways. In fact, the school is so over crowded that not every student gets a locker. And with the tardy policy, it gives the deans more work than they already have. They have to deal with misbehaving students and now innocent students that made one mistake. However, all of the students are brainwashed into thinking, "It's okay to make mistakes", when you're clearly teaching them that it's not. Also, since you get sent to the front office for being late, you miss assignments and the material being taught to you which completely defeats the purpose of school. But I mean you could always turn in the work a little later right? Wrong. At Rogich, late work is not allowed so you are being set up to fail. But you could always extra credit work right? Also wrong. Extra Credit isn't allowed either. It is probably best not to be late because of what I listed above, even if your classes are across the entire school. You could at least run or speed walk so you're not late, but you can't do that either. The school is so backward in its rules and very inconsistent with them as well. One example of a rule that doesn't make sense the rule. When I was at lunch, I had my earbuds dangling on my shirt collar and then an administrator walked up to me and asked if I knew about the earbud rule and I told him I didn't. So afterward he told me I was lying and he took them away. The next morning I asked for them back and he said no because I "lied to him" But it was not my fault for not knowing about the rule. In conclusion, this school is very backward and seems like it sets you up to fail. From too much homework and stressed students, to being prosecuted for having an opinion. On that note, I will probably get in trouble for stating my opinion, and warning others. Thank you for reading, Adios.

this school is absoloutely horribly because when i play games on my computer they have the urge to take my chromeb00k away. i am very angered by this fact why dont you just not be boring af and let us watch stuff on our chromebookeys. >:(

I don't go hear, but I heard that they're school is bad

I've just came to this school about a few months ago and I'm telling you, I hate this school. What does the teachers do when your getting bullied? Nothing! The students here bully others just because of their race. The teachers know that but they don't do anything about it. There are also very VERY rude students here. Like the ones that tell you to "get out" or threaten you. I've been bullied so much at this school. I would advise you to not come to this school, the only thing that will happen is ending up sitting at lunch alone or getting bullied because of your race.
Edit: Someone was spreading rumors about me (not going to say any names because I don't spread rumors and I actually follow the rules) and they never even got in trouble or anything like that. This just shows so much of this school. Don't come here.

Must stay vigilant & on top of your concerns, because the teachers & counselors WON'T. But, I will say the Nurse has been wonderful to deal with.

So far, from my one-year experience here at Rogich, this middle school is absolutely great. There are some rumors about the teachers here that can be true, but most of the teachers are really nice and know how to do their job right. The deans are very cool and responsible, and our principal Mrs. Harrison is amazing! You may get a lot of homework and think it's way too much to finish, but that's just because you need to learn to start it at a reasonable time, do your best on it, and know that you'll have to get used to the work. Although some teachers need some grading improvements, Sig Rogich Middle School is a great CCSD school and is definitely recommended.

This is the worst school a kid can ever go to.DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE.you get bullied for everything your clothes,your skin color,and race.And these kids here are selfish and evil.The teachers are mean and don't car about you or your grade.the meanist teacher of all for history is ms.coulson she is evil to her students the school is small and has way too many kids and the hallways are always crouded and u get ran over if your small becase kids that are big and tall run over you.and u get in trouble for pretty much everything u can think of eating in class lossing at a partner talking walking in class.And even friken running to your class if your almost late

Ok, the reviews got worse since my first review. My opinion is that the star rating should be below 1, maybe even a negative. Idk, lol. Anyway, for chrome books, they now have to be fully charged, and you can't charge it in class anymore. The problem is, is that we have to use our Chromebooks for literally every frickin class. All of our work is done in our chrome books. Sure, it's way easier to do things on the computer, but is it really necessary to use them? There is also a tardy policy thing now. If you are tardy, you get RPC'd. (Required Parent Conference) I mean seriously? Why can't you just have detention or something like that. We also can't use our chrome books during passing period. I'm in Earlybird, and once it's 9:00, we can't use our chrome books for like playing games or stuff like that. I know, you're not supposed to use your chrome books for playing games, but our teacher did let us use them. I'm not sure about the other EB teachers though. Some teachers also need to chill. They sometimes will get angry at the student if their chrome books aren't charged. They won't go berserk for all I know, but I can see the annoyance on their faces. The only good thing that I think that they have added in was that you can use your phones at lunch. I'm not sure about the other lunches though, but they don't care if you're on your phone or not. That pretty much wraps things up for this review. I'll probably write another one someday. But if you go to this school, make a second thought. Since their are some bullies here also. This may be the best school in Nevada, but I'm telling you, this school is bad. But be sure to check out the other reviews too. There are horrific stories down below.

Update!: May 2017

Ok, so in my first update, my teacher doesn't care anymore about us playing games on our chromebooks during passing period for Earlybird. But for the main update, I have already seen a few fights break out. I may have not seen as many as other people, and I do hear rumors of fights sometimes, but seriously, I was in the bathroom during passing period, and 2 kids walked in, and literally started a fight! I was using the sink at the time, but by the time I got to the doorway where they were fighting, a few other people broke it up. The two "suspects" ran off, and that's the end of it. . How can people just fight at school. Sure, I wasn't here my whole life, and maybe my school was a bit less rowdier, Ok, a LOT less rowdier, not sure if thats a word, but I mean, is that all they do? Kids just have fights in the bathroom, and someone has to break it up and just walk away?

Sure, there are cameras here, but for what reason? To watch us students see if we do anything wrong.

Or if there is a fight or something like that. I can rant on and on, but the thing that bugs me off the most is that STUPID "we don't do that here" in the lunch room. Is that supposed to tell us that we aren't supposed to have bullying here? Most people here use that phrase as a joke. If this is a "5 star school", then FIX THE DANG SCHOOL. BLOCK THE GAMES ON THE CHROMEBOOK. Literally everyone has played a game on their chromebook. Some use it in class without the teacher knowing that they are playing a game, and playing more than learning. The chromebooks in my opinion, are a bad choice for the school. If this is the best school in the entire state, does that mean that they are the richest? Does it mean that they have the best teachers? Or does it mean that they have the least amount of bullying in the school? Whatever the case, I am not changing my review, until I get out of this school. To be honest, this is a really one sided review. I did make a lot of friends, and I won't forget them. But I won't forget this school. Not because I made friends there, but because of how bad it is. Maybe that was understatement, but I will make another review. Except that this post isn't going to be near the bottom of the list. So I'm going to repost this. You'll get detention for the smallest things. Some teachers are really strict and may give LOTS of homework. Here are some teachers you'll want to watch out for:

Mrs Grant is a great teacher honestly, she may give lots of homework but she really does help and it is worth the year. Anyways, this school is not the best. For example, if you're about to be late for class and you have to start running, BOOM, detention. Also, you basically have no privacy, they have some program called GoGuardian and they can watch what you do on it while also blocking websites from games to educational stuff. The chromebooks are almost useless at this point because you are only able to access Everything that is related to Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Drawings, etc. Sometimes if you look something up, it's going to be blocked as well. There are some staff members where they watch you walk to class just to see if you are walking and not running. I got lucky once where they just gave me a warning. Then I got detention for running and they held me up for 30 minutes to an hour. Please don't bring your kids to this school, honestly this school is garbage because you have no freedom. This school is North Korea in a nutshell and shouldn't still be running. Here are some teachers that I absolutely love:

Adding on, there are WAY too many students in this school, after the bell rings to go to class, every hall is flooded with other students. You'll be trampled, pushed, squished, and even hurt as you might trip and have the whole hall become a domino set. This school is careless, way too strict, you get no privacy, no freedom, no knowledge. The good teachers will actually teach you stuff while others will sit there on there phones. The substitutes are pretty bad. If you're lucky you'll get either Mr. I or Mr L. They are probably the best substitutes you'll get all year. So please, before you send your kid hear, read the reviews online and think a bit more. Send them to Fertita or Becker before you think about sending them to Rogich.

This school is absolutely horrible. On my first day of school at this school the first thing i hear was curse words and inappropriate talk about female parts. The teachers really don't care about the kids and you only have like one teacher you really like, and you think really cares about you. If only there was a 1/2 stars

yeah I just go out of there and they didn't have anything set up in order. they told us not to procrastinate but they ended up doing it despite their concerns

Can I rate a 0/10? This school is so bad in so many ways. The halls are crowded every day, and if you aren t 6 feet tall, good luck getting through the crowd and not getting trampled. The place is driven on popularity and privelage. If you aren t in their sports teams or in cheerleading, then you re irrelevant. Administration will push you aside and will always favor the popular kids over you. Other kids will treat you like you have Ebola, acting like if you are within a 1 mile radius they ll get infected and die. In my personal experience, I m always stuck doing ALL the work for my peers. They ll ask for answers to worksheets, make me type for them, steal all my supplies and never give it back, I could list for hours. Administration doesn t do anything about you getting bullied or kids breaking school property, screaming across the room, throwing stuff the room, again, I can list for hours upon hours. But if they see you get tripped by a kid who laughs at you after? Detention for you! You were caught running! Have a fidget spinner at school cause it helps you focus on your work? Detention! You have a toy at school! Approach an administrator and tell them you re getting bullied? They ll do nothing. Honestly I won t be surprised if they give you detention for false accusations . Ive only been listing the cons, but let s think of the pros!

Suicide. 2 suicides and multiple attempted suicides in a matter of 2 years because of an overwhelming amount of homework or bullying. I wanted to kill myself a couple times because of one kid and the homework. That's all that needs to be said for this review. Thank you

The school rules don't apply to anyone they can do mainly anything and don't get caught. Also the teachers fail students that they target or they hate. Teachers are also rasict by targeting black people and thinking they are the only people in the school. The 2018 picnic rules were no missing assignments and no N's or U's, but there was still people with N's and U's and missing assignments who's still went.

my sister went here an it changed here life. It got her 1on 1 time and she loved it

I have been bullied here before, and GET THIS, they did barely anything. I had been tripped and pushed and punched and hurt, and the kids didn't even get in trouble. I have learned nothing from this school. They assign 8th grade work in 7th grade, this is horrible. Please improve Rogich, please. (btw, im writing this as im in math class cuz im a savage)

I haven't been here yet but I went here for a field trip for sixth grade and they gave me a pretty warm welcome and I think this might be the best school ever! I'm going here for sixth grade and I've heard it's a really good school. They say all the teachers and staff members and really helpful! Summer just started but I definitely can wait to go to rogich entering middle school and meeting lots of new friends!

This school is pretty cool but I have Mrs. Grant. If you get here switch classes immediately and then thank me later. Also Band is pretty fun. They do a good job preventing bulllying but the tardy policy is dumb.

This school is amazing, you should definitely go to it, but some of the teachers don't even teach and they just make you copy down their notes. One of the only teachers who actually teaches everything step by step is Mr. Domanico

I wish I could rate this school less than a one star. The only teachers that really care about their students are Ms.Lambeth, Mr.Gent, and Ms.Dougherty. I got really sick and had to be in the hospital for two and a half weeks and then stay out of school for another week.When I came back it was mayhem getting my grades back up from a F to at least a C. Most of the teachers here don't teach, they mostly just put stuff on google classroom and give us a link to a website and say do it yourselfs. This doesn't help me at all. Mr.Miho is the worst teacher of them all with doing this plus he makes the assignments worth a lot of points, so when you don't know any of it and you get a bad grade it plummets your grade. Im in 8th grade and have been here all three years. Don't send your kids to this school. There are more drugs and illegal activities here then anywhere that I know. This school is more about being a blue ribbon school and getting money grants. The only counselor that has ever helped me is Ms.Dolan, I can go talk to her for stuff but talking can't always fix what is going on. So please don't send your kids here unless you want your kids to become selfish,mean, drug addicts etc.

At rogich students are bashing other schools about there names and saying that rogich is a better school than the rest bragging.

bad school, trash deans, generic, children have hardtime learning, bad curriculum and hardware.

OVERVIEW:
I have been at this school for all 3 years, and throughout these years, I can honestly say that I have learned close to nothing. The only thing putting me through successfully is the fact that I'm a relatively fast learner and an accelerated student in all areas. Regardless, the administrators and teachers (for the most part - there are exceptions) don't care about any of their students unless they're a cheerleader or a basketball player (even the dance team doesn't get as much funding as the other teams). This school is a JOKE. IT'S A PUBLICITY STUNT. They don't listen to their students if they have problems. In fact, like many other people who commented, I would rate this school -125 stars if I could - it's that bad. Over the years, I have seen teachers and staff come and go, and they seem to be on a decline. The school is so bad, I can't even begin to explain. I was skeptical to go here in the 1st place, and I definitely rest my case seeing as in the past year, 2 students commited suicide. And you know what the school did? NOTHING. They pretend to care by offering "grief counseling" for 1 day, but then they ignore it and don't address it at all.
DISCIPLINE:

They say that there's a no bullying policy at our school but when I reported someone for cussing me out, they were not disciplined. Also, the kids that already have a bad reputation NEVER GET IN TROUBLE. There was this one kid in my class in seventh grade, and he was singing confederate songs in the back of the room. When I told the teacher, he just gave him a dirty look, but nothing happened. But I was disciplined for something not intended to hurt anyone at all? This school's priorities are actually messed up. They don't know how to handle situations, and the administrators make friends with the delinquents instead of disciplining them.
HOMEWORK:
Being in all accelerated classes, I typically have unbelievable mountains of homework. THESE TEACHERS DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT WE HAVE LIVES OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL. I should not spend 7 hours at school only to come home to 5 more hours of homework. I don't understand how this much homework benefits ANYONE. Honestly, it's a bunch of homework that everyone half-does and gets nothing out of because they just copy off of other people throughout the day. -Paola

I used to be a student there, and it was amazing. Well, that was when I graduated in 2014. Now I hear that the kids there are horrible, and they even say they found a girl with Marijuana in her backpack.....can someone tell me what happened to the happy environment that I one knew?

If you want a school that has teachers that don't understand you have 5 other classes and a staff that doesn't care what happens and most likely get your phone stolen this is a school for you.

this school may suck but at least it's not as bad as Fertitta.

I'm A Student and i Hate this school so much , First my Friend got bully and i step up and it made it worst and in one of my classes people make fun of this kid and he thinks everyone is his friend and people makes him mad and they say it always him thats makes the class disrespectful and the teacher always gets mad at him and he gets in trouble and it the other kids fault and i always feel bad for him and one time he said "your not my friend anymore" and then the whole class said i wasn't even your friend and it made him cry. im was the only one that didnt say that. i just hate the kids here and the teachers. Second, The Chomebooks THEY SUC
K because if you drop them and like break the screen its like 300$ and if you lose the black case its like 100$ and i looked on amazon and its like 10
$ its just crap and if your chromebook is not charge you will get cpr or in other words expel for 2 days and even if you get tardy to class one time you will get expel for a day. Last if you talk or something the teacher will get mad and give you move homework for you to do at home and the teachers don't even teach they read from online and the kids just sleep and the teacher don't even know. If you are reading this DONT GO TO THIS SCHOOL

if you want to go to a school where you cry over everything within a month of being there, this is the school for you. ive been at this school for two years now and let me just say, i have had more mental breakdowns at this school than i have ever had in my life. the work piles on and on and on, you're overloaded with work, and they will give you detention for anything. speed walking? detention. standing in the isles at lunch? detention. rogich is NOT a good school. they do not care about if you're being bullied or not. i filled out a crisis report five times this year ALONE for bullying. each time, they have done nothing. person of color being bullied? they don't care. lgbt+ person being bullied? they do not care!! im glad im not going to be going there next year.

Dont go here its a terrible school. They waste a lot of time not really teaching
