Absolutely love this place. They honestly serve some of the best coffee I've had and the service is always stellar. The staff is so friendly. Despite the dozen or so coffee houses right in Ballard, I willingly drive over the bridge (and risk getting stuck if the bridge goes up) just for their coffee. :) I've never been inside, but the drive-thru is always quick.

When I visit my family in Seattle we often go to Caffe Appassionato. The coffee is delicious, atmosphere inviting and the staff are wonderful! Yes, put this place on your list as "need to go", you will enjoy!

Seriously the best coffee. Like it's stupid good. Even their decaf is good. Go there. Do it now. Then take your coffee over to the marina and sit on a bench thinking about how blessed you are (Because you are! I mean, look around you!) and how much you want to come back here every day. PS. They have a drive thru, too.

They re just okay. I ve gone a few times when the drive-through isn t busy on my way to work, but I feel like they mess up my order about 50% of the time. It s hit or miss, but I understand that people make mistakes. It s just not my favorite coffee spot.

Watching the beans roast is always entertaining. Their decaf is absolutely the best and if you're a fan of mochas, try their Appassionato mocha (hint Dilettante chocolate). This location has a cozy little meeting room as well. Parking can be a challenge lately but other than that, they are still great.

Just not good. The food case was mostly empty. Breakfast sandwiches are microwaved, not toasted, and then served mostly cold. Team seems understaffed and overwhelmed by simple orders. The menu could be great, but not with that tiny electric grill...

I don't typically write reviews, but thought the staff was so kind and welcoming that I felt compelled to. The coffee is amazing and I love that you can see the roastery preparing everything. I'm not usually in the area, but liked it enough to want to find excuses to come here.

Very well made coffee in a wonderful location. The interior and exterior both are peacefully designed and make for a superb location to meet, work tranquilly or just have a robust beverage in peace.
If you end up in Magnolia this is a superb place to stop!

Seattle native here stuck in Washington DC for the past 12 years. Every few weeks I order a 5 lb bag of whole bean coffee from Caffe Appassionato. Sure, there are coffee roasters back East, but the Espresso Roast is unlike any other. Always friendly on the phone, and fast delivery. Ironically I've only been to the 21st Ave roasting location twice, despite drinking the coffee daily. For me, it was like a trip to Mecca. They were really excited when I visited... "that DC customer!" I was known as. What a great welcome.

I go here pretty often as I work nearby. They have amazing coffee (you can sometimes see them roasting it in house though a glass window) and tons of syrup flavors if you like to add those. It's also a great place to grab a quick bite to eat for breakfast.

Dropped in for an after dinner coffee. An acoustic group was playing '60's music. Coffee was excellent and the atmosphere and decor were spot on. Met Jane who was friendly and conversational. We enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to come back for breakfast. Selection of coffees is excellent.

We ordered 16oz caramel macchiatos. This has to be one of the best macchiatos I've had. I don't know if it was the bean or something else (pretty sure he's hiding a secret ingredient from us) but I highly recommend you try it. The decor was pretty cool also, even the walk in was nice... Just wish the piano and roaster were being used during the visit.

Here is the Best reasons I can think of is. Best Coffee I have ever had..I really didn't used to be a coffee drinker, until I Tried the Appassionato's. You can blame my Boss Richard, but now like Rich I look forward to crossing the Ballard bridge every morning for Coffee.. And the Staff are Great!!! .
They just seem to know what you want before you get to their service window or ordering Counter inside. In other words the Staff are the BEST. ALWAYS CLEAN AND ON TOP OF THEIR JOB.!!

This is a great little local coffee shop. They roast and sell their own beans (which you can see being done from inside). I enjoy their coffee and it's reasonably priced, but admittedly I do not have a sophisticated palette.

There is a drive-up window if you're on the go which is nice. The staff is very helpful (I think they may mostly employ local students and I noticed that they have specials for SPU enrollees).

I haven't tried their food. They have a small electric griddle they use to cook eggs, breakfast meats, and make sandwiches. Nothing gourmet but I would gladly try it before getting McDonald's breakfast.

Generally it's not too loud and there is lots of seating. You can even reserve a conference room, I think (not sure on the logistics). Ample parking and they even have outdoor tables which would be nice in the warmer months.

This coffee place is I'm north magnolia by the fisherman's terminal. It's spacious; they have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a small conference room for meetings and a drive thru.

Very noisy, even though there were only a few people there. Difficult to have a conversation with extremely loud machinery, banging metal trays, cups grabbed up and dropped roughly in bins. Coffee was good, not exceptional. Difficult to find this place, no clear signs on awnings.

About Caffe Appassionato

Caffe Appassionato: The Best Coffee Roasters in Seattle

If you're a coffee lover, then you know that there's nothing quite like the taste of freshly roasted coffee. And if you're looking for the best coffee roasters in Seattle, look no further than Caffe Appassionato.

Located in Magnolia, Seattle, Caffe Appassionato is a family-owned business that has been roasting and selling high-quality coffee since 1989. What sets them apart from other coffee roasters is their commitment to using only the finest beans and roasting them to perfection.

At Caffe Appassionato, they believe that great coffee starts with great beans. That's why they source their beans from some of the best growers around the world. They carefully select each bean based on its flavor profile and roast it to bring out its unique characteristics.

One thing that makes Caffe Appassionato's coffee stand out is its low acidity. Many people who love coffee find that it upsets their stomachs or causes acid reflux. But because Caffe Appassionato's beans are roasted at a lower temperature than most other coffees, they have less acidity and are easier on your digestive system.

But just because their coffee is low in acid doesn't mean it lacks flavor. On the contrary, Caffe Appassionato's coffees are full-bodied and richly flavored. Whether you prefer a light roast or a dark roast, they have something for everyone.

In addition to selling whole bean coffees online and at their retail location in Magnolia, Seattle, Caffe Appassionato also offers wholesale options for businesses looking to serve high-quality coffee to their customers.

But what really sets Caffe Appassionato apart from other companies is their commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing practices. They work directly with farmers around the world to ensure fair prices for their crops and support sustainable farming practices.

So if you're looking for delicious, high-quality coffee that supports ethical sourcing practices and sustainable farming methods, look no further than Caffe Appasionatto!
